We tend to try and stick to mid evening as the crowds die down a bit and they are not quite into their horrible restocking mode. Generally you can find fresh products and a wide selection of near everything (do not come to this Tescos if you are looking for home goods/ electronics/ etc). The prices as it is Tescos are decent. The staff are generally friendly as long as you're not getting the end of shift crowd. They have two 'car trolleys' which amuse small (and big) kids greatly, and make the shopping trip easier with children who are too big for the trolley seats but too small to walk all the way around without whining. The overall look and feel of the store is indistinguishable to any Sainsbury's Local I have visited, they also support Smart Shop, where you are able to use the Sainsbury's Smartshop app to scan items as you're walking around the store, and then use your phone to pay and leave. The only difference I noticed about this store compared to other Sainsbury's Local locations, was how the milk was displayed on a metal milk crate, rather than the traditional open refrigerated shelf. The store was reasonably clean I did notice the selection of to-go food and drink to be quite pricey, perhaps this is to push people towards purchasing a meal deal. (With a lack of gluten-free options on here other than an awful seeded bread sandwich if you're lucky, this isn't something I'd go for) They do close at 10 pm here, which could catch out-of-town visitors off guard, as Sainsbury's Local stores are usually open until 11 pm, the extra hour is crucial for me so it is a shame they close this store early, especially as their is a lack of alternatives nearby. 3*

Out of all the supermarkets in Stratford this would probably be the one that I would choose to visit the most out of them all. There is a really good sized car park outside, with plenty of disabled and family parking, and there are lots of trolleys available. The offers are the same as with all Morrisons, but this one does seem to be really well laid out, and the queues at the tills are never too bad (if there are some then you hear calls over the tannoy for staff members to get to them). There are two complaints that I would level against this supermarket, the cafe and the toilets. The cafe always has a really long queue, which means you have to be desperate for a drink or something to eat to want to stay in it, and the toilets really do smell.

Set on…read morethe outskirts near Hunsbury and Danes Camp Leisure Centre this is the supermarket of choice for many people who live or work on the South side of Northampton. Open 24 hours a day Mon - Sat and open on Sunday. If you love Tescos this is well laid out, bright and carries all stock ranges. There is now an ordering point for Tesco Direct and a new cafe run by Costa Coffee. Parking is a bit of a mare as it is always busy. Allow a bit of a walk. On site petrol station.

We were happy with the wine selection and a few variety of English biscuits. I also indulged my print newspaper fetish and picked up a daily Guardian (except Sunday) at any opportunity.
