Being the nice person that I am, I allowed him to use my phone and he ended up calling this cab service. I unfortunately was heading to the airport so as soon as he gave me my phone back, I left. Little did I know - they ended up calling me to let me know that the cab was outside. I told them, "oh, I don't know what's going on but the person calling the cab phone ran out and he randomly came up to me to use mine to call a cab." We needed to be at the airport by 4:50am for our 6:10am flight, picked us up right on time at the resort at 4:20am as requested. There was no wait time on the phone when I called. I didn't have to leave a message like all the other taxi companies which was very annoying. Had a very nice gentleman pick up the phone immediately and ask where we needed the cab. I usually pick Uber or Lyft but since we were going so early in the morning they are not as reliable. The very bad parts were the price and the cab, itself. The dispatcher told me there was a $35.50 minimum price, which is ridiculous. But I was desperate and didn't have Internet access so I could use Uber or Lyft, which I did on my first ride of the day, from my home to a medical appointment for less than $15.00. It was only 6.8 miles! The $25+ difference in the rides was outrageous! What upset me more was how disgustingly filthy the car was. There were suspicious stains all over the seats and the headliner. I could just imagine someone projectile vomiting from the seats to the headliner. Then the door was also extremely dirty! The car was smelly (you could smell old cigarette smoke) and the A/C didn't work...at least not in the hellish back seat. I asked the driver if he could make it cooler but, I guess, he couldn't. When I got home, I took off my clothes and told my daughter to burn them. And then I wiped myself down with Lysol disinfectant wipes. I honestly felt subhuman sitting in that nasty car. I thanked him and proceeded to review list of other taxi companies. I then received a text from Johnny letting me know if another Taxi co who might be able to get here sooner to help us. What a surprise and a blessing! I was able to call them and my husband did not miss his flight. MR. JOHNNY MAC is an awesome asset to Yellow Cab. His kindness even though he clearly was busy, did not go unnoticed. Even though we were unable to utilize Checker Cab I would recommend then! I texted Mr Mac to thank him for his kindness, not only did he apologize that he couldn't meet our needs this am, he offered a discount on our next ride. Customer Service at its finest!!
