I've been here to this market once on opening day, when it was packed, and two or three times since then. I came here on Mothers Day this year, and bought some tea for my mom, who loved it. That said, I will not be coming here again. Or rather, I will be barred from coming anywhere near here, on threat of arrest. Completely random and bizarre. Comstock (who owns or oversees this farmers market?) is the worst company ever. They are bullies and served me with a trespassing notice for absolutely no reason. I am apparently now banned from all shops and venues at Loudoun Station in Ashburn. It's been months since I've last stepped foot there, and I treat everyone I meet with kindness and respect. I have reviewed Famous Toastery, Burger 21, and AMC all as 5-stars before -- check my review history. Now I am not allowed to step foot on these premises, for absolutely no reason at all (see attached image). Let others be warned. I have firsthand experience with Comstock, and can truthfully say they are a dishonest, fraudulent company that hands out trespass notices to complete strangers who are actually paying good money to the businesses they own. Well, I'll certainly be taking my money (and business) elsewhere. Stay far away!

Located right behind Cascades Shopping Center, plenty of signs and parking. Not as large as One Loudoun but more socially distant than One Loudoun with an emphasis on fruits and vegetables. Nice touch with wipes and sanitizer. Opens at 9 but clearly starts earlier. Plenty of coffee. Bought some vegetables.

I love meeting the growers/farmers, talking about their farms, talking about their and my shared love for gardening. You can taste what a tomato is supposed to taste like with absolutely no yukky plastic taste like you'll find in a grocery store. A locally farm grown carrot or sweet peas is almost like eating candy because the are so sweet. And the fruit! Oh what the flavor of a watermelon tastes like when it's not a washed out flavor of a mass produced product. The farmers are always willing to answer any and all questions I may have and for the high quality of their produce I find their pricing very fair. They are in the same place all of us are with this economy and they understand we are all looking for a good price and they provide those.

The Gainesville Central Farm Market is located in the Virginia Gateway retail complex parking lot - next to the Virginia Gateway office building @ 7500 Iron Bar Lane. I visited for the first time the second Saturday of their run (May 9). I checked out all the vendors. There is a bit of everything: fresh produce (veggies, fruits, flowers, and plants), coffee, food vendors, meats, eggs, and a whole host of other stuff. I visited Bouvardia Coffee and ordered a small cold brew with Half n' Half. Pretty good cold brew! First time I've seen cold brew offered at a Farmers Market! I also visited Kingston Cafe and got some Jamaican food to go: a jerked pork and jerked chicken combo - which came with Plantains, dirty rice, and I believe they are curried vegetables. Today is feb 28 and this was my first time here with a friend. I had a pleasant conversation with the organizer of the market and he admitted that the market has many more vendors including produce options come April. In the mean time, I remembered seeing for sale souvenirs from Peru, olive oil, sourdough bread, meats and more. Will have to return in April to get the full experience!

This market is a bit on the small side because we saw about six vendors during our visit. However, we stopped by while the vendors were setting up so maybe more vendors arrived once we left. The major vendors that I remember were those selling produce, mushrooms, and empanadas. I noticed the empanada stand because I was extremely hungry. Oh there was some live music courtesy of a singing duo. Since this a smaller farmers market, compared to the others that I have visited in part, you definitely can get in and out very quickly.

I've seen this place a couple of times driving by - it's only open in the warmer months on Sundays…read more It's easy to get to - it's right off of Interstate 66 on Old Tavern Road in between I-66 and the town of The Plains. I've always been intrigued by the idea of Farmer's Markets - but I've never taken the time to visit one - which is strange given my interest in cooking. Well I had decided earlier this week that this Sunday was going to be a gorgeous day out - and that I would trek out west to check it out (The Plains is not that far from Haymarket). I pulled in and there were lots of folks checking out and buying the fresh farm produced produce - lots of vegetables and fruits. Most were under small tent or canopies - I was just about to leave when I noticed there was more to see! A whole inside area with vendors of all sorts! So I wandered through - there were all sorts of delicious organic and homemade goods to be had - salsa, guacamole, baked goods, jellies, jams, honey, maple syrup, arts and crafts - I was very impressed! I tasted a Virginia made Beef Pepper snack, beef jerky, pickles, salsa, and guacamole. I ended up buying a couple of the Beef Pepper sticks - 2 for $3.00. I also bought two tomatoes and a small container of fresh jalapeno peppers. I was sorely tempted to buy several pints of the fresh black raspberries - but that can wait until next time!
