I recommend avoiding The Willows and staying at The Veranda instead. They have some popular stores like Krsipy Kreme and Panera but there is nothing specific that you have to come here for. There is some interesting art work near Ikes in the center median. They really try to make things look good. The Mexican Feather grass is also very well maintained and trimmed for the winter - so it can make its comeback in the spring. Lazy Dog and US Bank - I'm not so sure if those are anything you need to come here for. Benihana? Thats once and done. Seen it once - thats more than enough - just like those corny Hallmark movies. Security makes a big deal if you wander from The Willows to Veranda - don't do that. Thats a no no... just like sitting on the furniture at Macys. That lady will yell at you and tell you to sit on the chairs next to the toilets. read more

I wanted to shop at the willows. Parking was limited at a popular time to go. I parked where there were spaces. A security gentlemen walked up and informed me that even though I was shopping in this shopping center, I would be towed for parking in what the management has decided is now employee only parking. Take a look at the attached signage and see for yourself that they haven't provided any notice of employee only sections. The only clear signage is that you have to be shopping here to park here which is exactly what I was doing. I don't see a reason to come back when my car will be towed for complying with their signage. Say goodbye to my income being spent at the willows read more

After being a long time customer of the Willows, they rewarded my loyalty by vandalizing my car and threatening to tow my car. I parked near Claim Jumper and walked over to the Veranda. We often frequent both the Veranda and the Willows in the same shopping trip. Within an hour of parking, they plastered this large paper sticker on my drivers side window. We had gone to dinner, but were planning on going to Diaso afterwards. But when I saw the offending sticker, we just left. It took 20 minutes, a razor, and harsh chemicals to get the damn thing off. This is vandalism, and very short sighted of the Willows. I will not be returning to the Willows again! read more

It's really hard to do a review of a place you see and work at 5 days a week. I have really two opinons of this place. My opinion as a "customer" and as a "security guard". Some people either love their job or they dislike it. Like Michael Jackson says in his song "Wanna be Startin Somethin" I'm stuck in the middle and the pain is thunder! But all in all I still have an opinion and pictures to add from my prospectives. Here is my review in two aspects.. October 23, 2016 Sunday - 10:35 p.m. before work 1 adult. Property - 3/5 Selection - 3/5 Management - 1/5 Background - (Security Guard) The Willows is where I got dispatched too, (Customer) I never was a huge Willows shopper, mostly restaurants with very little shopping options. Property - (SG) I'm the "Graveyard" security officer. "Alone" I make sure the property is..secured. Having a combo of responsibilities as compared to my Morning and Swing officers, without camera's being on the property, My patrols are frequent and for what it's worth not much happens at night. But more accommodation from property management would be nice. (Customer) I like Ike's Sandwiches, I've been to Clame Jumpers a few times over the years, Lazy Dog is okay, never been to Eureka, Dos Coyotes is decent. Not many real shopping options, Old Navy, Ulta Beauty, Cost Plus World Market, Daiso, REI, Aaron Brothers..I don't shops at any of these establishments except for Daiso and even that's limited to when I come here in a working aspect. Management - (SG) They want us (guards) to do more than what they're paying us for. Security Camera's would be great in this shopping center, and help us with our job, but instead we get blamed for not doing patrols when in fact....we do them according to what they want in the contact. Of course within our boundries. (Customer) The really seem to want to just keep their properties going for the $$$ and not take input from the people spending the money in their property. I feel issues in this property would be resolved if they listened to the customers. Overall - The Willows sits off the freeway (680) on Diamond Blvd in Concord Ca. I can see the appeal it would have for some, despite some mention things it's still an ok shopping center. The Sunvalley Mall is on the other side of the freeway and may provide way more options. UFC Gym honestly seems to get the most foot traffic here. But if you're a foodie.."Yelper" the food selections here may be "Yelp" worthy. I'm not going to leave a "Future" mention because I know I will be back here. All I have to say is this.... (Security Guard) Please people if you have valuables, do not leave them sitting on your front/back seats. One way to prevent break in's is by being smart. Leave your things in the trunk of your car. The Willows Shopping Center is kind of a moving target in terms of a shopping or dining experience. I stopped by a few days ago and noticed that the formally long standing Mexican place was now demolished. That was sad as one of my early dates with Gayle was a show at the Willows Theater (no more) followed by dinner that restaurant. Krispy Kreme Donuts came, went, and came back, while one of the early Bay Area Trader Joe's and ARF were once here. I took my son play at the Jungle and now that he's grown, we still enjoy a Burger at Fuddruckers. Benihana and Claim Jumper are still here, while Panera, UFC, and REI are relative newcomers. It all jumbles together after all these years. And through it all, it remains a bit complicated to drive here, park, and find the shop that I seek. read more

They're slowly revamping this place and more places are popping up like Ike's and soon a Eureka Burger. The more modern look makes the place a little more inviting than before. I just worry that as more restaurants show up, it might be harder for parking. I do like that there's a lot of different places to eat and shop at like Jamba Juice, Fuddrucker's, Panera, REI, Old Navy, Ulta, Krispy Kreme, Lazy Dog, etc. It's fairly quiet and just so close to work that it's pretty convenient for me. read more

The parking by Claim Jumpers was nearly vacant and since there were no vehical entrances into the Veranda from Willow Way I parked there as there was a clearly marked crosswalk from the Willows Shopping Center to the Veranda Shopping Center. I had lunch at the Yard House and returned to my car about an hour later. At first I thought it was stolen so I called the police. Then a security gard came by and told me they had it towed. Nearly $300 later I get my car back after taking Urber to Martinez. So much for shopping at The Willows ever again. I only pick one star because I had to to post this. read more

If it would be possible to give no stars I would. I used to come here a fair amount, but won't shop here any more and here's why: Today I sent my husband and his friend on an errand for me at Pier 1 at the Willows Shopping Center. It was lunch time and they parked at the Willows Shopping Center and walked over to the Veranda Shopping Center to the Yard House for a bite to eat before taking care of the errand at the Willows. During the time they were having lunch the Willows Security person had the car towed. The bill was $262 plus an Uber ride to the tow yard. They used the pedestrian walkway to cross from the Willows to the Veranda. If it wasn't allowed to shop between shopping centers there shouldn't be a pedestrian walkway. There was ample parking at the Willows and others were seen crossing between shopping centers. Shoppers need to be aware. If this is about a parking dispute between the Centers, then shoppers should not be caught in the cross-hairs. As of today we won't be shopping at the Willows ever again. With the City of Concord needing sales tax revenue, this is really a shame. read more

We grabbed Panera , Krispy Kreme and then we're gonna grab a pizza directly across the street..... all because we were walking across the street the security guard said we were gonna be towed even though we were shopping at two places in the willows. Another fond memory from back in the day when the Willows Shopping Center was 'the place'. My first big live Theater experience was at the Willow's Theater when I was a girl scout. Very few stores remain from back in the 70's when it first opened. Alot of empty space. read more

Was in a store for under 20 minutes and my rental car windows were broken out so someone could get into my trunk and steal my laptop and other expensive belongings. No security cameras. Speaking to people in the center this is a fairly regular event. read more

There are so many empty stores in this small shopping center. Sadly chains have replaced the small mom and pop business that set the Willows apart from Sun Valley Mall on the other side of the freeway. read more

The Willows Shopping Center is an interesting sprawl of shops and restaurants. Unfortunately there's nothing uniquely local in here, but it can be a good place to grab some lunch or dinner and do a little casual shopping. Decent eats in the Willows (btw are there any actual willow trees still around the center???) include Benihana, Fuddruckers and Panera. The long-standing El Torito was replaced with Lazy Dog, a chain but not one we have in our area so it is nice to have a new option. And of course, the infamous drive-thru Krispy Kreme, which left us once but came back with a vengeance! They've also recently become our local site for Off The Grid food trucks, which is a VERY welcome addition! For shops, Aaron Brothers has a big and beautiful location here. Old Navy is here for clothes, and Cost Plus World Market and Pier One Imports offer their usual wonderful collections of idiosyncracies, not to mention well-priced wine! I've also always had good luck at DB shoes, TONS of options at competitive prices. And to get your activity on, The Jungle and UFC Gym have locations here. While the Willows isn't quite as glorious as it once was, it's a nice place to spend an afternoon strolling, shopping and dining, and parking is ample even during the holidays. read more

A very odd little shopping center. No real Big Draw - I would say Old Navy is probably the biggest. Or Claim Jumper, based on the cars parked in that section of the lot. A smattering of shops, including, said Old Navy, REI, Any Mountain (maybe these are big draws too?), a portrait studio, a framing store, a hair salon, a game store, Pier One, The Jungle, - there must be more... I really don't know. Restaurants include said Claim Jumper, Tony Romas, 360 Burrito, Panera... and, at a stretch, Jamba Juice. No Coffee Shop Proper! Nice shopping center. You can circle the entire shopping center via the parking lots but its kind of a tight squeeze cuz its a crappy designed small parking lot in its entirety. Great passage way between UFC & REI. Interesting that there are several signs in this area that note the area is under surveillance. This tells me bad things have happened in this area, so beware! As with almost all my reviews, this is from the point of view of someone frequently out and about with small children. The Willows turns out to be a great place to run a few errands with a kid or two in tow. It's all outdoors with LOTS of room to run around, and fairly nice landscaped areas for admiring, and fountains to ooh and ahh at if your kid is into that. I didn't even make it into the Jungle or Gymboree, but you can grab a snack at Panera or BYO at one of the many benches. read more

I don't find myself thinking of the Willows when I want to go shopping, which is pretty rare anyhow. I'm not much of a shopper, but if I need to shop for something I'd rather go to the bigger Sun Valley center. But I do end up at the Willows for food! We have been to Off The Grid: Concord, Krispy Kreme, Benihana (though, it's not as good as it used to be), and our new favorite: Lazy Dog. Claim Jumper, Fuddruckers, and a few other places are here too - even the nearby Seafood City brings me this direction (it's just outside of the Willows). Last time I shopped here it was a stop at Old Navy - but not even that store, or any others, would make me drive out of my way for a shopping day here. read more

Willows Shopping Center seems to be a nice shopping center. I am glad to be seeing security patrolling the parking lot. I came here to go to Panera Bread for lunch. I had a good time at Panera Bread. The shopping center seem to have a lot of good stores and paste to eat. This seems to be one of the best shopping centers in Concord. read more

I tend to think of Willows as a neighborhood of stores and not a shopping center or even a stripmall. It tends to be more convenient to drive from store to store than to park and just walk. Maybe it's just the awkward layout. Anyways, for the strange selection of stores, they have some good ones including Panera, REI, Any Mountain, Road Runner Sports, and Jamba Juice. Parking is usually easy and considering a lot of other REIs and ANY Mountains are pretty independent, having some other stores so close can be convenient. Good for browsing during lunch, but don't expect a mall! read more

Has almost everything you could really want in a small condensed area. The food here is great, with my favorites being Fuddruckers and Panera. Most of the clothing stores surrounding are well kept, and the walkways through the whole shopping center are very clean and accented well with the flowers and sculptures. read more

Be careful! Car burglaries are common and here and nothing has been done about it!!! Our car was broken into and upon talking to security and the management we were told that car burglaries are common and has happened at least 3 times in the last 4 months. We were told that the parking lot management will not pay for security camera's as they are too expensive at this point, even with the amount of crime happening in the parking lot area. I love this lil' shopping center and yeah it's got all my favorite shops but this place needs a coffee shop like a fat kid need a salad. Starbucks, Peets, ANYTHING (Bonus points if it's a mom and pop coffee). Sorry Panera and Krispy Kreme but I need strong coffee and REAL latte's that won't kill me, and by that I mean I need a place that offers soy milk. read more

Willows has some great shopping from Pier 1, Old Navy, REI, to Ulta. They also have great dining including: Benihana, Eureka, Dos Coyotes, Lazy Dog, Ike's Place, and more! You can also find a UFC gym and massage envy if you're looking to relax and unwind. There is something for everyone at this beautiful center! read more

Have come here a couple of times and have enjoyed the restaurants and stores especially lazy dog and Rick's ice cream. Just came outside and found car window busted and security guard was waiting outside by car. Security guard was not very invested in process and not very empathetic to the big loss we just faced but rather very process oriented in getting his report. While the Willows Shopping Center has so many wonderful places to eat and shop, as well as the wonderful Jungle indoor playspace for kids, this is NOT an area that you should visit after dark if you are driving a car. My car and the car next to me were broken into at 6:30 in the evening while dining in one of their restaurants. The "security" officers who patrol the area didn't seem to know what to do, neither had been there for longer than a couple of months, and were really unhelpful-and in the case of the guy in charge- very rude. Their "report" consisted of taking my name and phone number. That's it. We called the Concord police department, and an officer came out to take a report. We learned that, according to the officer, break-in's at The Willows are an "out of control problem". This is partly due in fact that there is NO camera surveillance and partly due to the fact that many of the parking areas are sort of hidden and tucked away, and not all that well lit. It's a disappointment to have this bustling shopping/dining area be without camera surveillance. We will not return to this shopping center in the evenings as long as their is no surveillance. read more

The Willows is a good choice for dining. Lazy Dog is a great addition to this shopping center and joins Benihana, Claim Jumper, Fuddruckers & Panera. Krispy Kreme has returned for a sweet treat. The shopping is okay- nice to have Cost Plus & Pier One in the same center. Old Navy & DB Shoes are the only other stores I frequent. I'm really looking forward to Ulta- a much needed addition to the area. I think a coffee shop would be a nice addition- yes even Starbucks. read more

Let's just say that the face lift is looking pretty good so far. There's some new places to eat, and it looks like more will be coming in.
