I went to Willow tree recovery for 60 days of inpatient treatment. I have let some time pass before posting this review after being discharged. For the most part you're treated with care and respect overall. The clinical team is professional. The line staff do their job and they do as they're told by the owner. The case management and discharge process left a lot to be desired in my opinion. The beds need an upgrade the communication could be improved. I went to Willow Tree in August of 2015, and I'm still sober over 4 years later. The program is structured well, the therapists are very good at their jobs and most of them can do EMDR. No one is judged or treated unfairly. I know all the line staff there and most of them have multiple years in recovery and really care about helping people. The owner is great guy who cares about helping people rather than just making a quick buck. They took us to 12 step meetings every day which I believe is the reason I'm sober. Trauma therapy was and is essential for me, but the 12 steps is what I decided to latch on to at Willow Tree, and held on to ever since. I'm so grateful I got to go to this program because I've worked in a lot of treatment centers since 2016 and a lot of them are shady and unethical. You won't find a drop of that at Willow Tree!! As has already been mentioned Willow Tree is a first class facility, that boasts great mountain views from the hot tub, access to a full-serve fitness center six days a week, very comfortable living quarters. The a casual onlooker would think that Willow Tree is a resort rather than a rehabilitation center! When I first arrived at the facility the staff and residents immediately welcomed community which I found to be very inclusive from the start. Everyone was focused on the goals of addiction recovery personal development. The sentiment that I heard from my peers which was also my sentiment was the excellence of the staff. They demonstrated time and time again their care for the residents. They continually went above and beyond to help me and others reach their recovery goals. In short, my experience and the testimony of others who I lived with at Willow Tree was a very positive experience during what was a very challenging time in my life. Months of consideration, an abundance of obvious hard evidence including very suggestive statements and even what appeared to be taunts made by a male employee toward me basically throwing it in my face that he was successfully taking my girlfriend from me, along with the numerous ignored opportunities given to this so called recovery center to respond to my claims and complaints have lead to my still reluctant negative review of this company. Reluctant only because of my morality in the sense that i believe the situation I am referring to should be addressed privately instead of completely ignored by the accused in the hopes it would go away. Well it hasnt and here after well over a dozen emails to the owner and several requests to a particular employee to correct the problem, I am yet to receive ANY response and am left with what I see as no other choice but to make my claim public with a simple statement. If you are unconcerned about unethical client/staff relationships or to be more direct........about the possibility of your already vulnerable and weak sisters, mothers, daughters, girlfriends or wives, being manipulated and taken advantage of or pursued like predator to prey by a male staff member with other objectives than that of your loved ones recovery, then by all means, send them to this place. If your like me, they will succeed in manipulating her already susceptible mind and turn her completely against you. It seems that there is also a network of friends all working together out there in those isolated areas surrounded by mountains and cut off from the real world and they all seem geared toward the same goal. And that is welcoming the vulnerable and fragile female addict from far outside the state lines and immediately going to work on converting her thinking as to see their ways as righteous and keeping her as their own. I know this sounds like it came right out of Hollywood, but until I GET A RESPONSE FROM THESE PEOPLE THEN ITS THE ONLY PICTURE TO BE PAINTED!!!!!! Almost 18 months ago I was expecting my girlfriend of over 5 years to come home to me healthy and better prepared to battle the addictions we both shared. I was geared toward the same goals and was so excited to hear her speak of getting married and starting a family with me when she returned. The last thing she said to me before she stepped onto that plane was "nothing will ever tear us apart." Well she was wrong because Willow Tree Recovery has done a fantastic job of it. read more
