At my last appointment, I reported that I was doing well. That was true at the time. When I later raised ongoing difficulties, the way she responded changed my trust in her care. Having previously reported improvement does not erase the concerns I raised afterward.
After spending thousands and thousands of dollars on care, I felt dismissed and pressured to book more appointments and spend more money.
My last appointment was September 3. Just seven weeks later, she told me, "Since your last session, I've been continuing to improve my approach," and described "very powerful healing outcomes." After the thousands of dollars I had already spent, this felt uncomfortable and gimmicky--like a sales pitch for more appointments when I was sharing concerns about my care. The promise of an improved approach so soon after our work together left me questioning what I had already paid for. I wanted empathy and a thoughtful response to my concerns; instead, I felt I was being sold a reason to spend more.
When I shared that I was still struggling, she also wrote, "If you are struggling significantly and do not want to meet with me to help you, then that limits what I can do to help you." I understand that further treatment would require an appointment. What bothered me was how little empathy I felt in her response. After everything I had invested in our work together, I wanted my concerns acknowledged with care. Instead, I came away feeling dismissed and unsupported.
I had also been asked to share my experience in a podcast. After I declined, she asked whether my story could be discussed under a different name without me present. The interest in sharing my story, alongside how my ongoing concerns were handled, left me feeling more valued as a success story than heard as a person.
I withdrew permission to use my story and requested that my name and testimonial be removed from her website. She has confirmed their removal.
I left these interactions feeling dismissed, pressured, and deeply uncomfortable. I would not return, and based on my experience, I do not recommend her. I encourage anyone considering treatment to use their discernment and look beyond her current Google reviews, including reading the older reviews on Healthgrades under her previous Gaithersburg, Maryland location. I wish I had explored that broader history before investing so much time, money, and trust in her care.
