I was depressed and taking prescriptions when I was highly recommended to see Dr. Lee. In a few months, I was out of my medication and has been out of depression for almost 10 years now. After that treatment, I got diagnosed with Lyme and she again was there to treat me. I have been Lyme free for 5 years now. My teen ager son was treated by her for anxiety, depression and attention deficit. Without that treatment, I don't think he would have reached black belt in Jiu Jitsu and wouldn't have the "A" grades at school. Recently, my daughter who is 10 years old had pain all over her joints and wasn't able to play basketball comparatively. I brought her to see Dr. Lee and for the last 3 months, she has been pain free. Thanks to that treatment, she was able to compete and win in third place the National Champion Jr. NBA Shooting Competition. Our family appreciate Dr. Lee's phenomenal work. Horrible person, horrible atmosphere, and horrible service. Alice W Lee was rude, inconsiderate, impatient and extremely entitled. I'm not sure why she decided to take a job in a service field considering her inability to care for or be kind to other people. You can get better therapy from a homeless person on the side of the road, and it would be a whole lot cheaper! I would not recommend her at all, she needs to be reported to authorities. read more

I am a close family member of one of her patients. Dr. Lee is manipulative, cold, and unempathetic, and she has no sense of care or responsibility towards her patients. She will gladly exploit people in vulnerable positions for her own gain. Her manipulation process breaks down as follows: First, she establishes that the only way to heal from whatever issue you come to her with is her holistic medicine. She clearly emphasizes that it is her and only her who can execute this process effectively, making you dependent on her care. Then, she charges ridiculous fees ($500 per HOUR) and sets unbelieveable terms (no cancellation of meetings) to trap you. Should you try to pull away or cancel treatment, she is not afraid to put fears of relapse or failure in your head to try to keep you on a short leash and thickening her pockets. I worked with Dr. Lee for over 4 months. Her abuse of power, lack of empathy and manipulation leave a bad taste in my mouth. I followed her treatment to the letter for months. Eventually, I made the decision to taper off our sessions as I could no longer afford her exorbitant fee of $550 per hour. Her demeanor changed completely. Rather than being supportive and encouraging me, affirming that I would be fine and succeed, she called me 'foolish'. She never said a single thing about referring me somewhere else to continue treatment, simply over-emphasized that stopping seeing HER was a bad idea. That was bad enough, but the real kicker came when I emailed her asking for a letter for school. I had taken time off school to de-stress and focus on my health, and my academic advisor suggested I get a letter from my doctor attesting of the reason of my leave of absence from school for administrative purposes. The letter Dr. Lee sent to me for school included a sentence saying that I "stopped treatment against medical advice." This is ridiculous. Her letter implies that I went against some sort of unbiased medical consensus, when actually I went against her recommendation to keep seeing specifically HER for more $500 an hour sessions. I politely asked her to take out the sentence about stopping treatment against medical advice because it was grossly misleading and completely irrelevant. She actually doubled down and refused. She said in her original email with the letter, "You´ll have to take it up with your school", and "They may allow you back into school....." What? It was never a question of me being "allowed" back into school. In my opinion, she intentionally put that fear into my head. Why? Because she doesn´t wish you success unless you are paying her and agreeing with the idea that she and only she can provide adequate treatment. It´s my personal belief that the reason she included the sentence about stopping treatment against medical advice is because she is vindictive. She showed zero compassion about having to taper off treatment for financial reasons. She showed zero compassion that I needed her help for a letter crucial to my personal and academic goals. She knew from countless hours of sessions how important it was that I eventually go back to school. She also knew her letter might make that more difficult and continued anyway. Her parting gift to me was making me feel like my health was untenable without her and actually making my academic goals more difficult to achieve based on her letter which was written in bad faith. Patients of hers will notice that she over inflates her abilities and knowledge. If you request or suggest adaptations her demeanor becomes cold and nasty. It is my personal belief that she does not really care about her patients. She cares about success and notoriety. No one with this lack of empathy should be a doctor. It´s also crucial to mention that before all this happened when our relationship was still positive, she asked me to leave a review online. Do you think this is ethical for a doctor to do? Beware of Dr. Lee! Her fees are extremely high and she responded to my email concerning her outrageously high fees with the following quote: "You are a disrespecful, entitled, and ignorant person who have no idea that there are no doctors out there who can help you achieve your need to withdraw from your medications other than a very few, select psychiatrists. And you just blew your chance of working with one of them." This is not the response of a highly trained psychiatrist. It is the response of an angry, bitter person and quite childlike. I found Dr. Lee when searching for someone to help me get off the antidepressants I was still taking for 8+ years following a severe postpartum depression. She was upfront with all the costs, including the supplements. She explained the methods she was using, including the orthomolecular medicine. I thought that I would be on medications my entire life; that there was no alternative, and I could only mitigate the damaging side effects. I was concerned that this meant I could never have a child for fear of the fetus being adversely affected. After working with Dr. Lee for a year, I have been completely off of medications and stable for four months. Dr. Lee is the most genuine, caring, and supportive psychiatrists I have ever had the pleasure of working with. All throughout high school I had been prescribed antidepressants by 'conventional' psychiatrists. I had also been self-medicating with marijuana daily for almost 2 years. When I began my first semester of college, I developed minor anxiety. I was prescribed a fairly high dose of Zoloft by my ex-psychiatrist. 2 weeks after starting on Zoloft I developed panic attack disorder. I woke up to panic attacks every single day and lived in constant fear of the next attack--It was so bad that I even ended up taking medical leave from my university. I have lived with social anxiety my entire life and a few years ago I finally looked for treatment with a conventional psychiatrist and began seeing a therapist. I was prescribed several different medications and none of them seemed to do anything for me.
