In my appointment, the assistant obtained the history and then left the room and talked quite loudly to relay my information inhealth history to the provider in an open workspace with multiple desks and staff. That wasn't awesome as health information is protected and on a need-to-know basis, and so the open area exchange of info seems not in line with expectations. Then there were supposed to be orders sent for secondary diagnostic testing. There was a 3 week delay in the orders for this being sent/received. I then went to research the order status and found that my insurance didn't seem to require the secondary diagnostic test (and therefore wouldn't cover it.) I tried to discuss this with the provider but this was quickly dismissed. I then made a lot of calls to finally ensure the paperwork was submitted successfully (another several weeks and honestly not my job) only to hear that my insurance had denied the secondary testing. That was mid-July and the office/provider has yet to contact me to discuss (it's now mid-Aug.) This just isn't the experience I expected and I can't recommend this practice.

Also, we were able to get the care we needed for our daughter to get better without the use of antibiotics, which was a real blessing for her little body! The dr. spent plenty of time with us and listened carefully to all our concerns. She also came up with a great plan to help my daughter get better. My only complaint is that the dr. we saw didn't really explain things very well to us. She didn't really tell us what each treatment did or educate us. I was sent a blood draw kit to take to Lab Corp, which I did. A month later, I didn't receive the new shipment of medicine. Turns out that the testosterone lab wasn't tested and no one notified me. I had to go back to the lab. A month after that, still nothing. I have been calling and emailing demanding answers and have not received a single response. I paid $4,000 and meds were supposed to last for a year. I paid $4,000 for 3 months of medications. I would not recommend this place. I've demanded a full refund without response. DO NOT USE. I plan to escalate this matter.

I have been a patient of Dr. Burr's for around 4 years. Recently I required him to send some…read morerecords for me to Diabetes Specialty so I could get a Continuos Glucose Monitor transmitter. It took him close to two months to get two months worth of notes and I still needed the third month. For some reason he would not do this for me. I called numerous times begging them to get these records to Diabetes Specialty, and the response was always "he's working on them." Diabetes Specialty sent in a customer advocate to sit in his office many times to get these records and she would eventually have to leave. Finally after 4 months, he completed my notes and sent them to Diabetes Specialty. Unfortunately for me it was at the end of December and not in time to get the transmitter I needed before my deductible renewed (which is $3000.) so now I'm screwed. Such negligence on his part as a doctor, and what a disappointment. BEWARE!!!!!
