This park is so pretty! We were in town with our dogs and were looking for somewhere to visit with them. It has trails to explore if that's what you're into and beautiful views of the mountains. Pictures really don't do it justice! There are benches, sheltered areas and even a butterfly sanctuary. I was a little disappointed to find that the enclosed dog park was members only, but we were able to walk our dogs along the paths. We all really enjoyed it!

Me and my wife recently came here during thanksgiving week to see what this place is like. This place was absolutely awesome for what it was! We didn't have a dog but they were welcoming of that. The people that come here are absolutely friendly and they seem like regulars that come here. This is such a great social event where everyone gets to me everyone and it's way better than going to a sit-down establishment. Even though is an outdoor place there's at least a shelter where you're indoors by the bar and you got heat keeping you warm. Restrooms were very clean , the food is absolutely astounding. This place has non alcoholic beverages as well if you do not want to drink. Staff here was very friendly and everyone here is down to earth. Highly recommend visiting this place if you have a chance. Hours are not too bad at all

Kind of like your kids before you send them to school! But as you know we travel and go to dog parks, a little over 2,000 so far across the country. With the exception of one just outside of Tulsa Oklahoma and one just outside of Durango that has always been the rules, but there have been exceptions. So when someone I met at the dog park told me they had worked here and that the collar tag would be sufficient, I signed up. But when I drove up the young man that met me at the gate told me I would need proof other than the tag? And I was looking forward to having something to eat hahaha anyway, having spent the majority of my adult life running car dealerships I can certainly appreciate or disapprove of the fact that as I was getting back in my car to leave disappointedly the young man pointed out to me that I could drive across town if I really wanted to spend some money at one of their stores? A for effort but F on timing... So go online register your dog and do all the other stuff and wait until you get the email. Do not believe anyone that tells you they worked here and that isn't required. YoungLady did not have her service vest on and I offered to let them look at my phone to verify that she is registered and vaccinated according to the service that provided her. So there may be some confusion there, but more than one person told me I should be okay before I got here:-( they do have a handicap spot right by the gate!!

Dual entrance- Restrooms and covered bleachers for us caretakers- Lots of room to run-- Love this park for our furbabies!! "Why do you need a park for a dog? Don't he run on your farm?" Well, yes, but, you see, I come from a land where dog truly was man's best friend, and thus we got to go everywhere together, even bars. It is hard to admit to you, but I got addicted. Real bad. Now I can't stop adventuring and exercising with my dogs. Yahoo! We only found out about this little gem by driving past a sign. We did a quick U-turn to investigate. We found that someone (or some group) in Morristown clearly loves dogs. A lot of care was put into this dog park, which is in a converted ball field. The saplings are still growing, but the night lights are already installed (switch is near the entrance gate) and the dugouts have been converted to shaded seating areas. They have a box of toys hanging on the fence, a kiddie pool right next to a hose, and multiple doggie bag stations. We used the kiddie pool to wet down our big guy after a long hot day at the people park. We plan to add some toys to the box, and pick up after our dog, to show Morristown they made a great decision to open this dog-gone-Mecca. I hope that more dog friends find their way over here now, and take care of it like these folks are!

There are several different fenced in areas available for the dogs, technically a small dog area, big dog area, and (sort of unspoken rule) a play area for dogs who like to roughhouse more. Picnic tables, benches, and a gazebo exist. There are also poop stations and water buckets for the dogs to drink from (and some of them to splash in). The only downside about this park is it isn't free - membership is required for residents and guests alike (check the website for more info). That said, it's worth the cost to let your dog run free. Plus, this place is ran and operated by the local humane society. There's nothing funnier to me than seeing my dog emerge from the bottom of the hill and run all the way back up to see me at the top.

There are other stretches of the French Broad that are more aesthetically pleasing, but around here, it's a brown snake that doesn't seem impressive. If you pass through the city without stopping here, you're not missing anything given the profligate majestic clear waterfalls in the mountains nearby. However, there is a decent pedestrian infrastructure built up around this bridge, and several restrooms, launch facilities for watercraft, and other useful features. For the more casual or local user, it's at least a waterfront that has been well developed for public use.

The dog park was pretty empty on Thursday afternoon due to the rainy weather. However our other visitors who were very welcoming and had very friendly dogs. Stopped by again today, before road-tripping home, and it was just as fun. Lots more visitors and other dogs to play with or just chase. Our dog was even greeted by one of the Thursday people. Just a nice place to spend some time. The area is well kept and they have a good amount of supplies to keep it picked up.
