I've found companies that offer groupon deals are hit or miss. This place is very unassuming but the massage was awesome! Matt was my masseur and I was very impressed with his knowledge and technical proficiency. It's not really relaxing when a massage therapist needs constant instructions on where you need the most pressure, Matt however just instinctively knew exactly which areas needed the most attention. Then he took it a step further and explained that Quadratus lumborum muscle was very tight, then he told me why it was probably bothering me, and what I could do to avoid pain in the future. I purchased a Groupon for Willow Healing and booked a massage with Tim since I saw he had great reviews. My massage was rescheduled for 15 minutes later and when I arrived there was a girl there. I asked her if I need to sign any forms and she said no because I had done it online. She directed me into the room and I told her where my problem areas are and she began the massage. Halfway through the massage, she realized that she was massaging the wrong person and I told her that I saw my appointment had been rescheduled and assumed that they needed to change the masseuse. She went out of the room and supposedly talked with Tim and asked how he wanted to sort it out. She came back in and continued massaging me. The girl who massaged me give me an okay massage and was able to work some of the knots out however I still felt a strain in my left shoulder the next day. She seemed either unprofessional or frazzled or both and also mentioned that they don't get paid off as much from Groupon's. Mentioning that to me seemed highly unprofessional and unnecessary. After the massage it was very awkward and she did apologize for the mixup however I could tell she did not want to be there. The environment itself was not very relaxing either because I could hear the cars go by outside in the room as well as people talking outside of the door. When I left that evening there were also several stray cats wondering in the parking lot and that was not attractive. I try to support local business but Willow Healing has disappointed me too many times. I am only 27 but deal with major back issues on a daily basis. I am a rep in the OR so my schedule is unpredictable. I know cancelling appointments is unfortunate for the massage therapist so I asked for Sunday appointments to make sure I didn't have to cancel a week day appointment last minute. My first appointment was with the owner, Christina. We settled on a Sunday and THAT MORNING she texted me telling me she had a family issue and she had to cancel. While very disappointed and in very real pain I told her I understood. A couple months ago I got an email from Christina telling me they were running a 3/$99 special so I bought that and scheduled a Sunday appointment with Dezelle. I arrived at 12:27 for my 12:30 appointment. The building is lack luster and you have to walk past some other lawyer/real estate type offices to get to Willow Healing. I tried to open their door and it was locked. I hear Dezelle on the phone say "ok that's my appointment ..." and then continue to chat on a (clearly personal) phone call for at least 3 more minutes before she lets me in the door. After we chat I get on the table at 12:35 and she begins my massage a couple minutes after that. When she told me time was up I looked at the clock and it was 1:21!! I checked with my phone and it too read 1:21. So I got a less than 45 minute AVERAGE massage when it was supposed to be 60. I specifically scheduled this appointment right before I was about to go out of town because long flights hurt my back and let's just say I was still in a lot of pain during my travel. I wasn't going to say anything but a couple days later I got an email from the owner asking how my massage was so I decided to tell her 1/4 of my time was cut short. She said she'd personally give me a 90 minute massage so after having to wait a couple weeks until we were both free (while still in a lot of pain) we schedule for today (Sunday). I had tickets to a concert last night but decided not to go due to my back pain level and also because my appointment was at 9am. I got a text at 8am saying, you guessed it, she is having family issues and can't do my massage. The reason I book on Sundays is so I don't have to cancel, especially considering they have a CANCELLATION POLICY. I told my nieces and nephews I could do Disney TODAY because my back would be feeling better. I understand family issues come up but when you're dealing with people in pain that have waited weeks for their appointment, you're going to lose clients if you cancel last minute multiple times. Do yourself a for and don't waste your time and money. read more

Since the first time I came here years ago, I haven't gone anywhere else in Tampa for a massage. Christina is the absolute BEST. She really gets to know you and her massages are truly customized to meet your needs and concerns. I always feel significantly better for weeks after a session with her! Finally decided to treat myself to a massage and had heard about this place from a friend who raved. Booked a weeknight appointment and made sure I arrived early enough to fill out a form since this was my first visit. Stepped into a pleasantly dimly lit room that was already helping me to feel more relaxed. Daniel greeted me, handed over the form and offered a quick orientation. The room was prepared with a table that was soothingly warmed and music that was thankfully soft. I got comfortable and ready to get some release from some pent up stress. It has been a while between massages for me and I have to wonder if there really is such a thing as a bad massage but this one was quite good. Daniel made me feel comfortable and I quickly realized he is quite good at what he does. He recommended I use my hour for a massage that was less intense than what I originally requested. Good call. It wasn't about punishing the muscles but coaxing them to release and relax. I felt like I was floating at the end of the session. Daniel was kind enough to answer my questions before I left and we talked about what type of massage I should try on my next visit. It was a welcome experience that I look forward to enjoying again. Years of carrying my stress in my shoulders and not properly stretching my muscles after working out takes a toll. This is one way I can get some relief but rely on someone else's expertise to know how to make the muscles heal and not hurt. read more

I have used massage therapy for more than 15 years and I can say that Christina is one of the most professional, caring therapists I've ever encountered. She is warm and friendly and listens to your needs and adjusts her massage accordingly. I have low back pain from exercise and my job so massage is basically essential to my health. Christina is very helpful in figuring out what will get me the best results. One of the best parts is that she comes to your house so you can either relax afterwards or take a nap! I visited Willow Healing with a living social deal. This is one of the few massages I've had that was both relaxing and effective. Daniel did a great job relieving tension and knots in my back and neck without causing any pain. He was He really listened to what was bothering me, customized the massage, and suggested a couple exercises I could do at home as well. Oh my god. I am typing this while my husband is driving because I just left what was probably the worst experience of my life. I just left my hour long massage at willow healing with Anne. First of all, I told her my problem area when I got there and she started at about 105. She then proceeded to give me the worst massage I have ever had in my entire life while talking. And asking tons of questions during the massage. She completely forgot one of my feet, she scratched me multiple times with her nails, did some weird pinching thing that was terrible. Then sneezed, blew her nose and walked right back over without washing her hands and continued the massage. I'm freaking out. That's not even the worst part. I went out to show her my Groupon. She asked how it was, I didn't want to be rude. I responded with "it was ok, thank you". I didn't want to be rude because I didn't care for the massage. She then said "it's ok to be grateful, say thank you". She said "it's a 90 dollar massage you just got so be grateful" I just smiled and handed her my phone so she could get the code off my voucher. She said "how much are you going to tip" - I said I was going to run out and grab cash from my husband who was waiting right there to pick me up". She said "well I hope he has cash, I only got 15 dollars to do all of that". Then said "I hope you're not going to be ungrateful" and then said "it looks like you are because you bounce around on Groupon buying massages". I said "can I have my phone so I can go please". She attempted to hold my phone back and said "you are ungrateful" and you should leave". I got my phone and she "said leave right now, don't come back, you are ungrateful". I went in the bathroom and threw up. I am so upset right now. I can't believe what just happened. I contacted Groupon for for my money to be refunded and I hope that they remove this business from Groupon. It was terrible. read more

He listened to what was bothering me and then instead of just doing a standard massage, he tailored it to my specific needs.
