Where has Diana been my whole life?! First of all, this was my first ever massage, and boy was I LONG overdue! I Have been suffering from chronic upper back muscle pain for 4 years! Not to mention, lower back injuries from the past that causes pain once in a while, depending on level of activity I am doing that day. Anyway, the muscles of my upper back constantly feels sore and tight as if I was doing back workoits all day long. This is all from BAD posture. It started from when I was still in school, the long hours of sitting and working on a computer doing research and writing papers for the majority of my day and now I am on my feet 90-98% of the time at work and working on a computer about 100% of the time. I came across Dianna & Wholistic Massage Studio through Yelp! Besides the rave reviews I read. I was also impressed with her overall approach towards her therapy since she also offers Raki Therapy. She has a strong clinical background but takes it a step further by incorporating holistic aspects to her practice, which I'm a big fan of. So I decided to try it out. I scheduled a deep tissue massage online through her website (which I very much appreciate, since I always rembr late at night, that I need to schedule a massage, then continuously forget until the pain in my back forces me to rembr) Dianna was very professional. Had me fill out medical history paper work, list any areas of concern, etc. Once we got into the room she went over everything with me in detail and came up w/ a customized deep tissue massage just for me. The massage was glorious & exactly what I needed. I get massages regularly & am well versed at just about all the techniques. Yet, Dianne was so skillful that she recognized my hip alignment was off & worked to correct it. She also performed some techniques I'd never experienced before but were def needed with my back problems. She checked in the whole time with me to make sure I was responding well to the pressure & comfortable. We chatted throughout the duration of the massage but she knew when I wasn't wanting to chat but enjoy the massage. The ambiance of the studio was adorable, warm & welcoming. Dianna is the most amazing Massage Therapist I've ever had. I'm a physical therapist myself and I've had chronic back pain for 10 years, so I am EXTREMELY picky about who touches my back! Some would say I'm a massage diva! ;-) Dianna knows exactly the right spots to get into to decrease my spasms, but she is also really great with a relaxation massage when I just need something to ease the stress of daily life. I've tried a lot of different therapists, but after I was referred to her over a year ago I won't go anywhere else. My husband loves her as well.
