This gem off the beaten track is nothing short of tremendous. Delicious food, incredible service and amazing value.
The decor and cosy atmosphere is one that truly does bode well for intimate groups and couples wishing to go on a tapas journey. The journey of endless delicious morsels will end with the most spectacular plate of chefs selected desserts.
For our experience the line up of tapas was limited due to the fact we had seafood allergies and picky tastes at the table. But that didn't stop the evening being most enjoyable.
Our selections:
Starters:
Kalamata and Spanish Olives infused lemon and herbs, sweetened gherkins, Persian feta & Chorizo. Accompanied by a very refreshing pear salad with tossed fetta, red radish, tomato & pine nuts. We chose garlic bread to accompany things. It was toasted with a classic Duqqa and Balsamic reduction olive oil.
Main Tapas:
Napoli Pork and Veal Meatball with Parmesan Cheese & crusty bread. The veal and pork morsels came out swimming in yummy tomato base sauce. They were moist and delicious.
Beer Battered Tempura Zucchini Flowers filled w/ Persian feta Bed of greens, tomato in saffron mayo
Less is more these delicate tapas really hit the spot!
Melt in your mouth rare seared Beef Fillet with Sweet Potato and Onion Leeks Hay with Garlic-Ginger Soy. This was delicious.
The complete show stopper that turned the table into silence was the slow roasted Pork Belly on Quinoa and Apricot tabouleh, Pickled Apple and star anise maple sauce . All that could be heard around the table was the crunch of perfect crackling. This crackling rested on top of the most moist and delicious pork.
I would totally come back here again ! read more
