With five kitchens serving up American, Italian, Mexican, Asian and contemporary Australian, there's ample choice and even the fussiest diner. Love cocktails? Of course you do! The Collective's fanciful new selection includes the Au Lait Martini (espresso martini served in a waffle cone) and boozy tea cups aka Portuguese Breakfast with gin, Cointreau and homemade marmalade - out of control!! Good food and good vibes. Plenty of options to choose from. Hopefully they bring back the table tennis table one day.

Good food and really friendly, helpful staff the two times we've been here. Dog friendly area out the front with water for the dogs.

Fantastic. About…read moredamn time there was a no-nonsense cafe in the Gold Coast. The trend nowadays is to have exotic, "different" food on the menu but quite frankly, I'm getting very tired of it. I'm a huge fan of eggs benedict/florentine/whatever but it's starting to become really difficult if not impossible to find a simple, decent version of this. I don't want dukkah and mediterranean turkey or crispy duck gnocchi as an "healthy" substitute for what benedict is usually served with. (You know what I mean, I sincerely hope no one is stupid enough to try that.) When it comes to breakfast, I want to see the usual suspects on the list FIRST then you can go be creative for all I care. Just don't make them "sides/extras" and when you work it out, a plain scrambled eggs on toast with mushrooms and maybe some avocado turns out to be well over $20. This is just robbery. To my delight, this place delivers. I ordered eggs benedict and opted for the double smoked leg ham instead of the bacon. (You can choose from bacon, salmon, portabello mushroom or the ham.) My god, that ham...!!! It was orgasmic. I cannot recommend that dish enough. The eggs were PERFECT, and if you are a breakfast head like I am and/or have worked as a chef cooking thousands of eggs, you will know what I mean when I say the art of cooking a poached egg seems to be dying. I don't want the whites to run nor do I want the yolk to resemble a rubber ball. 10/10. That and hollandaise. I used to make hollandaise every morning for work and I know when someone actually understands what they are doing. Put it this way, I scraped that plate clean. And the serving was generous. And for $17, I expected good stuff. This wasn't good, it was excellent. My friends ordered the chicken burger with aoili and the breakfast special of bacon and egg roll (that was $10 and I have never seen one that massive!) and both were extremely satisfied. Coffee was great too. The owners used to own a nighclub in Cairns but got tired of the party scene and moved down to open a more friendly establishment and you can see the love they have put into this place. There is a stunning motorbike on display at the back (just take my word for it, go have a look if you're into that kind of thing) and my friend who lives right around the corner was asked if he would like to display some of his photographs to sell. This is exactly the kind of attitude more places need to adopt, support local artists and it's a win-win. I wish this business many prosperous years to come. Thank you for restoring my faith in Gold Coast breakfast cuisine.

Got the same thing as a friend and got charged an extra $6 then to top it off they got my order…read morewrong... Dissapointing. Might have to go Avvia.

I ordered the smoked salmon on rye bread. It was absolutely delicious though the portions were small *only one slice of bread. It was a bit busy when I visited (Swell event was going on) so the staff seemed a bit busy but that didn't impact the service they provided me. In fact, one noticed I left my laptop behind and reminded me to get it. This is definitely a go-to spot when I'm in Currumbin area.

Used to go to the deck cafe pretty often when I lived in Palm Beach a few years ago, so thought we'd go there. Unfortunately, being a public holiday, the deck was closed. But this place looked pretty good, and it was busy which is usually a good sign (but not so busy they didn't have a table). Food was good but a bit basic. They didn't have a "big" vegetarian breakfast on the menu, which always saddens me. And the eggs Florentine came on toast instead of English muffins, but otherwise the food was good. Serving sizes were more than adequate. The coffee was surprisingly good. Surprisingly because finding good coffee used to be quite difficult on the gold coast. The bean was one of the big brands (can't remember which unfortunately), so nothing special, but it was well-made. Service was great too. Very friendly staff, willing to stop and have a chat.

They're more along the lines of a more decadent vegan meal, but... every single thing I had was perfectly done. Delicious, well-flavored, and interesting. I started with one of their coconuts-- with milk thistle tincture and chlorophyll. It was good, perfectly cold. Enjoyed the olives for a starter-- generous portion but at $9 still scary. $21 for a very small Caesar salad was also scary. Yummy, but scary for how tiny the portion was. Enjoyed a turmeric latte-- delicious. And also a cacao maca latte-- even more delicious than the turmeric latter. Both were some crazy price as well. $65 for a dinner for one. Not much food. Luckily, I wasn't that hungry. Note: they DO NOT have free wifi or wifi of any kind-- which is disturbing given the touristy nature of Byron Bay, but alas. For whatever reason, nope. The waiter and manager were exceptionally nice-- really lovely people. I will go again, not look at the prices, and enjoy the food. :)

We're from central coast and there is hardly any vegan options so it was a great feeling knowing everything on the menu was vegan.
