He wanted to charge us $250 to cancel. Never heard of that, so I said, "Let the listing run." I have heard not a word from this "agent" in 5.5 months. No updates. no marketing thoughts--nothing, nada, zip. We discovered an electrical problem. I emailed and texted him. We are 600 miles away. He has my hidden key in a lock box, so I can't get the electrician in. I told this "agent". He completely ignored me. Meanwhile, the house could burn down, and he obviously couldn't care less. Nobody should list with such a shoddy outfit. I learned my lesson.

Very little marketing effort was made--only photos and MLS listing. No open house was ever discussed or held. No effort was put toward any marketing tactics such as using "offers due by date" or "offers will be reviewed on date" to drive up the number of bids. Little personal touch and connection--agent never took initiative to meet me face-to-face. Agent seemed to be only interested in rushing to close the deal regardless of impact on seller. Agent was available via phone during closing but that's it--I had to chase closing documents from closing attorney before and after closing. Value of agent's effort much less than commission paid. I recommend using Redfin instead. Same service at half the price.

I tried to leave a review--THEY sent me after our…read morerecent stay at the Blacker House, Manistee, Michigan, but they deleted the entire thing! They only left my title and one star. This company is a total scam. They have photos of the property that only resemble the property itself. Let me explain that we had a family reunion in Manistee on the 4th of July, and had booked it we THOUGHT through VRBO, almost a year in advance 2025 for 8.5K however once I received the email, I merely followed the link. Also note, Manistee gets booked solid annually every year since the early 1930's so when we arrived and saw the condition of the place we had ZERO options to stay elsewhere. We had a family reunion. We had to try and make the best of it. On VERBO photos show VACASA as the managing partner with pristine manicured lawn and garden all around the property. They had a strict no smoking rule on the entire property as well as strict no partying rule. The photos showed staged beds-all with beautiful quilts and pillows. The large dining table with a lovely table cloth. When we arrived the lawn was ankle deep and the garden overgrown to the extent it looked like a haunted house. The garbage close to the entrance in multiple garbage pails were over flowing and flies were infesting and just everywhere as we walked up to the entry. We unlocked the door, there were two entry doors, one knob came off. The floor and stairs were filthy. There was actual dried poop in the only downstairs toilet with various implants stuck in it. The dining table was broken, no tablecloth. The bathrooms staged, not cleaned. When I picked up the silicone hair trap in one tub the sludgy hair mass that hung from it was gag producing. Two beds had nothing but sheets. Nothing else. Curtains were grimy, filthy and on bent temporary rods. When we attempted to call for help--good luck. You do not reach anyone local who owns the property or who cares for the property. You just reach their customer service that gives platitudes and do nothing. When I asked for only a partial refund they gave me --get this $250 cleaning fund back. YEAH THANKS! It was NEVER CLEANED, of course they had to give me my cleaning fund back! They flatly refused any other credit for compensation for FIXING THEIR TOILET FULL OF FECES OURSELVES! Or for CLEANING THE HOUSE OURSELVES! Or for not being able to use the yard to play all the games we brought because it was so overgrown! What we saw in the ad, what we paid for was NOTHING like what we got! BEWARE OF THESE SCAM ARTISTS!

Also, some of the worst pillows I've ever slept on in my entire life. I need to go to a chiropractor for being there two nights on one of their properties.. They have always been extremely accommodating and the places where we have stayed have always been everything promised and more. Fireside Lodge is a very secluded place with all the accommodations we wanted. We especially enjoyed the fireplaces (both inside and out) since we got there at a chilly time. The leaves were beautiful and as always, plenty to do and enjoy around the Ellijay/Blue Ridge- or just enjoy the porch and cabin as we did a lot of the time. Will definitely be using them again in the future!

    Back in October of 25 I rented a cabin known as The Boondocks thru VRBO not really paying attention…read morethat it was a third party rental thru Morning Breeze cabin rentals. When we arrived late that evening the house was cold and dark and even then it smelled of pet odor. The next morning we noticed pet hair everywhere in the return ventilation on the floor, curtains, towels ,blankets ,beds it was nasty. But we had appointments to be at so we said we will deal with it later.Upon our return to relax we noticed that there were only two towels no problem we will just wash them as we need them. The washer and dryer set wasn't working so when we called we finally spoke to the maintenance on call said it's a timer issue as many time before . Sorry for the ramble but needless to say out of three showers in the place the only one clean enough to use was downstairs in the basement area where the heat didn't work. I could tell you about the floaters in the hot tub and the nasty curtains but you can go see for yourself if you wanna gamble Morning Breeze said they were sorry and would be happy to refund 100 $ for the inconveniences I declined . Never learned a lesson that I dint pay for Stay away !!!

They helped me find the perfect cabin and was a great price. Upon arrival the cabin was beautiful and the photos didn't really do it Justice. I'm always leery to rent pet-friendly because not everyone has a "four on the floor" policy, however, cleaning beforehand should take care of things. This was not the case with this property. My parents arrived to the cabin on time but we were delayed a day and did not get to the cabin until late Christmas Eve. My parents are too nice and noticed a lot of cleaning issues (glasses put back dirty, fridge cleaned with gross rag, dirty floors, dirty surfaces) but didn't want to complain and also didn't check our bedroom on the second floor (mobility issues). When we got in to go to bed the sheets looked like they had not been changed and had dog hair (or lots of human hair) all over the sheets and pillow cases. The floors were disgusting and definitely not vacuumed as well as the side tables were filthy. I reached directly out to the property to let them know my boyfriend and I would be leaving to a hotel in town but that I wasn't going to uproot my parents and that they would be staying. I never asked for a refund but wanted them to know that whoever is cleaning did a horrendous job (Lorie according to the note) but I received a response from them that we could all go to a hotel and that they were ending our reservation the next morning at 10 am on Christmas morning. My parents are in their 70's and so we had to rush Christmas morning and miss spending it with my brother and his family in order to pack back up to vacate. I have never experienced such horrible customer service and unless you want to be kicked out for reporting something - do not rent from these people. They did credit us back for the night that they kicked us out and I was luckily able to get my parents a room as well (at a premium and more than the cabin). But this cabin was costing us $500 a night...so there was no excuse for a dirty property and bad customer service. Shame on you Mountain Escapes.
