I have…read morea 9 1/2 year old chronic surgical wound caused by a doctor who missed all of my indicators for a venous insufficiency disorder and failed to plan for that in my surgery and recovery. Not to dismiss all of the previous specialists, but the R3 Lewisville nurse and admin/insurance person, Katy and Brandy, took the initiative when I ran out of insurance covered options and went back to my carriers to say, you have to give us something to work with (I've done a lot of different treatment attempts). Though I had been told by the other facilities that hyperbaric chamber treatment would not be covered, Brandy and Katy were able to convince my carriers to cover the treatment. Several doctors had told me hyperbaric was the most likely way to heal my wound, and I was saving for it. Brandy and Katy's care and expertise have opened the potential to heal this almost 10-year old wound. I can't say enough nice things about this clinic. Their boss should read this and give them both raises. They are smart, motivated, and care about their patients.

The problem I have, hence the reason for two stars off, is the staff. Every time I need a prescription, or a referral, or anything, I always have to follow up because they don't do it. So many times I've been in need for a prescription or a refill, and had to go days without it simply because they forgot to call it in. It's an ongoing issue. What's particularly upsetting is when I have to endure the medical symptoms I take the medication for, because they didn't send it in. And knowing that this always happens, I will call ahead of time and send follow up reminders, sometimes multiple times just to avoid this problem. But it still happens anyways! It is so frustrating!!! I've considered leaving for this reason. But I love Dr. Skinner so much, I hesitate. I wish that they could fix this problem.

Good afternoon to all. First, I would like to express that I absolutely adore Dr. Skinner and his…read morepractice since I moved to Texas going on 11 years now. He is THE absolute best and I have not one thing negative to speak about regarding his care for his patients. However, the front office staff, Hayley to be exact. Is very rude and unprofessional. I utilized the text messaging services to request a refill on a non habit forming prescription. She informed me that "in order to get that request sent over to Dr. Skinner to review, I must make at least a $75 payment. We spoke about this in the last text message refill request. This is absolutely unacceptable even if there was a balance. I have an upcoming appointment scheduled with Dr. Skinner via telehealth and informed Hayley of that I would make a payment at that time. I also asked if she would have the office manager call me via text message. After 3 hours and no response back, I finally took off work to speak to someone in person. I spoke with Macey and she basically said "Oh yeah, she told me about it, I haven't had the time to call you back but I was going to at the end of my day." It would have been nice if I received that bit of information via text. It's like pulling teeth just to get a refill! It's absurd. I love Dr. Skinner, the NP and the other staff. It's harassment if you ask me of Hayley's actions.I informed Macy, the office manager that I would be leaving a review and informing Dr. Skinner at my upcoming appointment. From now on, I will be scheduling telehealth visits until I find another PCP. Just know Dr. Skinner, you could be losing patients due to the communication going on at your front desk or the lack thereof. It's just so frustrating! It shouldn't be this hard! Please see below the text message thread. As I walked out she smirked as if I didn't matter. My voice matters and I matter.
