This place has great potential, but right now it feels like it's trying to be something it's not. It markets itself as a spa and a "culinary experience" (given its history as a former culinary school), but neither really delivers. The hotel itself feels dated and a bit cheap. The carpet tiles throughout give it a very worn, patchwork feel, and the rooms just aren't comfortable. My bed was honestly one of the most uncomfortable I've experienced in a hotel, and the pillows weren't much better. The rooms were also noisy, which didn't help the overall stay. (I will say--the sheets were surprisingly soft, one of the few highlights.) As for the "culinary experience"--the food was fine, better than average, but nowhere near what you'd expect from a place branding itself that way. Hanging photos of vegetables everywhere doesn't make it a culinary destination. That said, with the right investment, this could be a beautiful property again. The setting and bones are there--it just needs serious attention and upgrades. I wouldn't choose to stay here again unless I had to, but the wedding itself was fantastic.

When I arrived for my 2nd night, I was told that my reservation was being transferred to another hotel in the area. The front desk told me they emailed me. I'm not sure why they would email vs. call me. After driving for several hours, I found this to be a little frustrating. Lighting in parking lot could be improved. Visiting Grand Isle and flying out of BTV, I used 41,000 Marriott points to cover lodging…read more(including taxes) for one weekend night in late May 2025, staying at the Courtyard by Marriott at Burlington Williston 177 Hurricane Lane Williston, Vermont 05495 USA. The reservation could have been canceled at no charge two days before my arrival. I was greeted as a Silver Elite, and understood that with that status I was entitled to free wi-fi. A feature I am increasingly pleased with is the ability to access my Netflix account - easily accomplished here. The room may or may not have been an upgrade - I found it to be well-suited for business travel. It had ample desk space and lighting, had multiple USB ports and electric outlets, and the bed was firm and comfortable. The entire room was spotless, and to its credit (apart from two complimentary bottles of water) there was no sign of single-use plastics. The bathroom was well laid out, such that I could operate the shower controls without getting wet. There were hand washcloths and a well-positioned grab bar in the shower/tub combination. The room was on the first floor and offered a nice two-chair patio outside nestled among the tall shrubbery, allowing a private area right at the room. It took me about 10 minutes to travel from the hotel to the airport, and - as was driving a rental - I was able to fill up the gas tank within a block or so of the hotel. Check-out was seamless, and throughout the stay there were no unpleasant surprises. No disturbing noises, and if I wanted breakfast I could have paid $15 for a hot and cold buffet - not something I was interested in, but it's nice to know it was available. (BTV has an all-day breakfast counter under the name of Skinny Pancake, one located before and one after TSA's checkpoint, which offered an excellent menu of locally sourced meals.) The airport's restaurant offered a well-stocked bar and service staff that were engaging and efficient. I shopped around for the best offers in the Burlington area, making my choice about six weeks ahead of time. I've been a regular visitor to the area over the past thirty years, and it's true the rooms are more expensive than I would have expected. That said, I am fully satisfied that I got my money's worth (or my points' full value) for this brief stay.

The shower is nice, but the water pressure is pretty low if you need to wash/condition your hair. No bugs, unlike the Airbnb I came from! Green Mountain Transit bus stop is also right across hotel and goes both to the airport and waterfront downtown if you don't have a car. Otherwise it's a 15 min drive.

But they allow overnight parking and I found a spot on the "truck" side against the building where I could use their wifi for a bit before turning in and having a very quiet night's rest.
