Don't make the same mistake I did... Made an appointment to see Dr. Williamson about a tooth that I knew had an infection from a mistake done by a previous dentist mistake and needed work done. Got into a heated argument when he tried to put mercury fillings in a tooth that needed a root canal. Had to ask the THREE times what substrate he used to for fillings. First time I asked what he used, the man pretended not to hear me. The second time I asked he responds "silver" and proceeds to put an N20 (laughing gas) mask on me to try and shut me up. I asked him to elaborate on what he means by "silver" he tells me, and I quote "now isn't the time to ask questions son." So I go ahead remove the intoxicating mask. When I confronted him about my concerns for the severely toxic mercury used in the outdated amalgam fillings he plans on permanently implanting in my mouth, this crook goes off on this tangent explaining to me how he's been in the pharmaceutical industry for 30 years, he knows far more about the effects of mercury than "my generation", and that he uses them because they're "cheap". By this point, I'm intensely uncomfortable and walk out of his office. Then, a couple weeks, later just to add insult to injury, I receive a bill in the mail along with a letter (which by the way was photo copied, I assume this is a common thing for him) audaciously signed by Mr. Williamson asking me not to return to his office for further treatment. Needless to say I didn't plan on it. Wish I could spend some time in there and take some photographs of the hole-in-the-wall he calls a dental office. The equipment used has to be at least a decade and a half old and noticeably worn out and overdue for replacement. Enjoyed the staff and the assistant, I feel bad they have to work for this guy. The fact the that the radio was tuned to "Bluegrass Junction" didn't help either. I felt like I was in one of those hillbilly horror movies. Save yourself the nightmare. read more
