First appearance looked like the battery, so we shook hands and parted ways. Short cut to it not being the battery, so I had to contact the operator immediately. As it happened I got him before he was too far away, and he happily came back and loaded Stella (the Yukon... The Wife names all her vehicles) aboard and transported her to our local mechanic (Earnie's Automotive in Owasso). Super friendly guy, prompt and professional. I can't say enough about Grace, and they now occupy a spot in my phone's speed dial.

I have been going to Greg's for about 15 years but will never go back and everyone that I once…read morereferred there have all had horrible experiences. They used to be great, the staff in the office was great, Cody and Greg were great, and the repairs were good. The past 2 years however, the place has gone downhill horribly. The office staff is now rude and openly lies to customers (see below) while the repairs have not been done to any kind of standard. They no longer stand by their work. Here are some highlights of the past 2 years: 1) Took my daughters car in and was told it would be done the next day when a part came in. 2 days passed and we called to inquire was told the part would be in the next day. 2 more days pass and we called to be told the part would be in that day and the car repaired, but it wasn't. The next day we were told the part they received was wrong and so they had to wait for a new part. The office staff lied to us repeatedly over a period of 5 days. 2) Took my sisters car in for new shocks. 13 months, and just 8K miles later, the shocks were totally bad. They said "too bad" the warranty is expired and wanted the same amount to replace the shocks. She is 70 years old and only drives to the store and doctor appointments. Shocks should last 50K miles at least. 3) Took my son's car in for a gas purge valve replacement. Paid over $1000 and within 2 months the valve no longer worked. My son was so angry at Greg's that he didn't tell me until many months later. I called Greg's and once again was told "too bad". It is unfortunate that they are such a lousy place now with no integrity when they were once a really good place. I no longer recommend Greg's auto to anyone for any service.

Took son's vehicle in for issues, charged $140 for diagnosis that was really just "replace single thing ($3k) and by the way, we recommend you do things you didn't even bring the vehicle to us to look at...(additional $2k) and really you should just get a new car since it has 90k miles on it." (On a vehicle that is known for 200-300k miles and consistently one of the top 10 vehicles for reliability) Then it got interesting. After a Google review detailing the above, my son starts to get harassing texts telling him to remove the review. Maybe these guys do good work... Lots of positive reviews. I am not a fan of bullying behavior, but will take the high ground here and simply suggest they work more on effective interpersonal communications with their customers and less on policing the reviews and harassing people who have bad experiences with them.

Visited there for a tire rotation and battery purchase and fifteen minutes into the work I was told they stripped a lug nut and were waiting for a replacement to arrive. No problem. They made a mistake and owned it. A few minutes later I hear the unmistakable sound of a ball peen hammer striking steel, and this sound repeats twenty times or more. Upon a look at the garage I realize it's my vehicle's brake drum he's beating on. When I walked and stood at the bay entrance, he suspended the hammering and retrieved the proper tool for drum removal and wah-lah, the drum practically jumped off the hub. Then the tire tech attempted to thread the wrong replacement lug nut on the new bolt and was about to use the impact wrench to force it, that is until I intervened and told him the thread pattern had to be incorrect. He went away and upon return exclaimed "The bin was labeled wrong!" Again, wah-lah, the correct nut fit just like magic! At this point I'd had enough and passed on the battery purchase. Before the tire tech attempted to back my truck from the bay, I heard the service manager caution him to remove the floor jack from behind the truck before backing. I'm not sure he had forgotten the jack, but I offered instead to back my own truck out. I then had to remove the leveling blocks from beneath where they were dropped from the frame rails. I have myself to blame because I visited there three years ago with this same truck and discovered after leaving the shop they took my locking lug nuts and put non-locking nuts in place of them. I'm sure it was intentional because the lug nut key was also missing, so deduced their service tech needed them more than the rightful owner. At the next service Brad told me they'd replace the lug nuts, but looking into Brad's eyes, I could tell he was making an empty promise he couldn't, or wouldn't, fulfill. He took my cell number and stated he'd call when they arrived, but I never heard from him, or them! So much the better because they'll never hear from me, nor my referral business, ever again!
