After laying down my motorcycle over an embankment, the officer informed me at the hospital that…read morethe bike would be towed by Flint Hills, and I could find it there whenever I was released. Shattered clavicle, but they let me walk that night, so the next morning I was picked up by my brother in law from KC in a rental pickup and headed over there to get my bike. An emergency flight had already been booked to get my broken up butt back home to Montana, and I would be dropping my bike off at a great shop in KC. The manager told me that it would be $350 for the 1.5 mile tow, which, what are you gonna do, towing companies aren't cheap, but the $30 a day storage fee, I politely asked if he could waive, because I picked the bike up 10 hours later. He told me in a raised voice that he was "being decent by not charging me for two calendar days!" I was in a whole lot of pain so I just said ok, and headed outside to load the bike. They got the bike almost in the truck when I remembered straps. I asked Jason, I believe his name was, if he had any he'd be able to sell. "None that I'd let you have." was the reply, along with directions to the farm store. Even my easy going brother in law made a comment about how rude the guy was being, but finally we got back with straps and then had to explain how to strap the bike down. It's pretty basic, but they literally were going to attach the straps to the bottoms of the forks... the guys were nice enough, aside from Jason, but they didn't know anything about hauling motorcycles. I'm sure they do ok with cars though, for what it's worth. But there's more. The officer called me back that afternoon to follow up and check on me, and it turns out that when they picked up my precious bike, they were going to hook a chain to it, and literally drag it up the hill because "it's already on its side." The officer saved the day by setting her upright and riding her up onto the truck himself. Between the rudeness, and the total lack of competence where motorcycles are concerned, I was disheartened to say the least, and can wholeheartedly say I don't think you'd ever regret going with another tow option.

I recently left JN Ford. While employed there I took a barrage of insults from management. I…read morewatched management lie to customers. I watched management verbally abuse a mentally handicapped man that worked there but was not paid by the dealership (when I started I was told I was supposed to pay him out of my own pocket) The amount that the salespeople paid him added up to well below minimum wage for the hours that he put in. On one occasion I watched management/Owner physically abuse this handicapped man. I put a call into DCF to do what I can to help protect him. While employed there I had a loaded firearm pointed at me by one of my supervisors. I watched the same man hold a knife to one of the other managers neck one day. Both of these As a joke... but those situations aren't exactly funny. The man that did this is not a bad person, but because of the environment that's been allowed to foster, if John North isn't corrected soon I truly believe someone could be hurt. I've also seen management lie directly to customers on multiple occasions to sell a unit or to finance a unit in house(to make more money). And I myself also know of at least one specific customer that Finance was urged to illegally sign the customers name on loan documents. I don't believe that this is uncommon practice at John North Ford, and if I'm not mistaken is considered fraud. I myself felt wronged, they had some other business practices that weren't necessarily illegal but did take money from the salespeople. I also heard plenty of racial slurs and people talked about poorly because they didn't have money to buy. I am hopeful that someone will see this and by me speaking out we can actually have a little change in the in the world.

They said they'd hold it with a deposit. They offered me a new RAM Limited at advertised price less addendums, $20k more than I worked on my deal. I told them that's an insult, I would have negotiated addendums out anyways. Management said this shouldn't have happened, my credit never should have been run, and they were going to completely redo their process, so this never happens again, but sorry I was the reason why. I told them they did irreparable damage to my credit and kind of forced my hand to make a purchase in the next 14-30 days to ensure all credit inquiries get lumped into 1. Completely unethical and dishonest.

Im so pissed right now, they are lucky i didn't reduce it to a one star rating. Ive been going there since the 1970s & never a problem. I go yesterday & paid for tire & find out it was to be delivered today. I should have backed out cuz I do NOT like that idea of laying that on me as I leave. I needed a tire ASAP because I had a terrible spare on my truck I needed to get on the road ASAP. And I would have gone elsewhere if I knew that. A tire store with no tire in stock? I guess you cannot house every tire, but I don't like to buy anything this way. So I postpone an important mission delivery to the needy for Sunday & make everyone reschedule cuz of me. I call today for my tire & first they didn't know what tire I was talking about. So they say they messed up & they close early & so now tire arrives Monday!!! Thats an epic fail! A GOOD MANAGER WOULD STAY LATE OR GET THAT TIRE HIMSELF & INSTALL if staff leaves. Not any offer to make it right. So..we are done! Your organization, customer service failure & HANGING UP ON A ME just lost a 40 year long customer. The Obermans would be livid. And this is why they will fail and close like every other poor service place even though they ride the coattails of the namesake they bought it from. If same owner then sorry, its time to rethink customer treatment. Not one thing he would budge on. Expediting the delivery, staying open, helping me if my spare goes flat until Monday, a discount, nothing. Tried to control conversation as if I owe HIM something. They should bend over backwards to fix their major screw up & not make the customer bend over!!!! Look out for long reputable businesses that change owners. They never honor the prior business method. EVER! This $275 tire just cost me my reputation as a reliable delivery & good people to miss out on needed food & medicine . If I had money for a rental, I wouldnt be driving a 17 year old truck & tires. Bad day? Just happened to be me? If it is their policy to put themselves first, then they will not last. This is why I have zero faith in humanity..only in the one above us who ain't happy either with inhumane treatment.

Unfortunately she mentioned the A/C was not blowing out front vents, but through the defrost. A sad, but common problem with these trucks. My advice NEVER suggest this problem to a garage, especially a dishonest one. The issue is a common one for farm trucks where vermin chew wires to the vaccum pump. This is usually a simple fix. You can see from the attached photo what they charged me. The mechanic screamed RAT and the clock starts spinning to charge labor for a simple fix. Blamed my problem on wiring harness issues, w/o correct diagnostics. The fix should be rewire, confirm power on pump, if no power, check fuse / turn signals fuse 27. This didn't happen, they charged melp $420 labor, charged me for parts that were not bad, such as the Vacuum pump, (Which they offered to swap back and credit, after I raised hell, and they indeed found the pump wasn't faulty). The truck was returned with a/c issue still occurring. The fix took me 15 minutes. Blown fuse 27. I was charged $700+ dollars for two broken wires and a blown fuse. They didn't do correct simple diagnostics to determine source of power issue. I'm done with them and I am firing them as my shop, I'll recommend the same to my friends. My bill is attached, along with the correct diagnostic steps from powerstroke forum on debugging this issue. 1. The Multi-Circuit Short (The Turn Signal Link)On the 2004 6.0L Ford wiring schematic, Fuse #27 (15-Amp) in the cabin panel powers the vacuum pump, but it also supplies key-on power to the Overdrive (TCS) switch on your shifter stalk, the turn signals, and the cruise control servo.Test this immediately: Put the key in the RUN position and try your turn signals. If your turn signals are completely dead, Fuse #27 is definitely blown. Update: What a sham, the wires they reference were cut in 2006 when the PCM was reprogrammed for custom application. I'm not disputing the vermin issue, I stated as such above. It's life on the farm. I even told them their mechanic did a nice job of rewiring the damage. Earlier today they admitted the vacuum pump, (overpriced) they replaced was actually functioning and offered me a credit on the part only if I returned. I have declined and since my review now claim the part is defective and replacement was justified. Just own it man. You replaced parts that weren't required, you overpriced them, you performed poor diagnostics on the problem and overcharged me on labor. Own it.
