Spent 3 hours trying to get their system to accept my drivers license. Home Depot uses a company called CLEAR to verify/approve DL. No employee knew why it would not accept DL. After 3 hours I was told to call CLEAR their verification company, After an hour and a half trying to get an actual person at CLEAR on the phone, a CLEAR agent said, you have to have a "REAL ID" drivers license AND a smart phone to rent a truck or van from Home Depot!!!!. We went immediately to UHaul who rented us a van with no problem. Home Depot rental agents did not know any of this. HD hides these requirements until you are ready to pick up the van. The manager of the store, Michael, is incredibly empathetic and helpful even though I know that my purchase represents the tiniest fraction of business for this location (there are contractors coming and going, picking up loads of paint). I called 4 days later and apologized for the error and ask them to credit my card. They refused and said, "had you called the day after" we would have credited you and then proceeded to tell me all sales are final. I even offered to pay credit card processing fees and still no refund of a significant purchase amount. After months of going back and forth, I filed suit in Memphis court because I was never given a receipt or told "all sales final" over the phone. 6 months later, the table I bought and paid for on my Amex was sold to another customer at another antique store across town while under litigation! We went to court in Memphis and had a trial a year after the purchase. Judge ruled they were at fault for not giving me a receipt or notifying me of any "foreseen" charges that would incur for storage. However, because the vendor wanted reimbursement for "storage" fees, judge did give him some compensation, even though they provided no proof of storage fees in court. Good news is that a majority of my money was refunded due to judge ruling in my favor. Greedy, lack customer service and just plain old dishonest handling of the entire situation by this business and the dealer inside this store. I have their testimony in court that I never received a receipt or was told all sales final. As I exited the court room, dealer looked at me with a scorn look and said "you got lucky"! Oh really....no I just stood my ground against greedy old man. Stay away from this place!

I hesitate to call Spruce an interior design store, because it's much more than that. On my visit, I was totally taken with their selection of adorable and unconventional stuffed animals. I picked up a sea foam green latticework pendant necklace. It reminds me a bit of a lawn chair. So, a big thank you to the person who suggested that I check out Spruce.
