I walked in on Friday, March 27th and was greeted by 2 of their employees that were nice, kind and helpful. They wanted to know what was it that I needed? I just wanted to see what my options were. With that being said, I started to play on few of their pianos, but didn't really get to the point of purchase. They have a variety of pianos: to rent, sell, they also come to your house or wherever that you have the instrument and will tune it for you for a reasonable cost. Also have movers to help you move your piano. This visit was mainly to check out and see what they had. Since I live in an apartment, our landlord doesn't allow us to have any musical instruments in the building. What a BUMMER!! They do financing and will work out a plan with you and negotiate a price for you. If and when I ever move into a house, I will definitely keep this place in mind. They've been established since 1928. By appointment only and the sale was going on March 27-29. Hours of operation is 10AM to 6PM. Don't know much about their parking situation, because I parked outside on the street.

The gentleman who helped us, (who I assume is the owner) took the time to properly measure my daughter for the correct size intrument as well as went over proper care. I obtained a third opinion at Encore Music, and was informed by the teacher there as well that the instrument we had been given is (i.e., was strung as) a violin. Note that I asked the assistant at the store to identify the instrument for me before telling him the problem; he identified it as a violin. When I explained the reason for the return, he then said that it is a viola, and brought it to the proprietor, who insisted that it was a viola all along. I insisted on the return, but they did not refund me the tax I pre-paid, and also charged me for a full 3 months' payment instead of the 2.5 months it has been. Overall, this has been a frustrating waste of time and money. There are many other options for instrument rentals in the area and I recommend you use a different one.

I was very impressed with Garron's passion and knowledge of music and the piano and the whole music industry itself and I did not feel like I was working with a used car sales person which I felt like at some other sellers.
