The park has a ton of potential, but is dominated by the homeless. Bartenders at night told me to avoid it and they are just loitering everywhere. There is an unmaintained amphitheatre of sorts that could be refurbished into something great. It is only one block away from the downtown, so it's a real shame.

This park is in the middle of St. Pete. It is very close to Sundial. Occasionally they have the concert for the residents to enjoy. The park lay out is simple. Amphitheater on the east, center fountain, west veteran memorial. Surrounding the fountain red bricks are the name of the donors who contribute to the cost for building it. The park is clean. See a lot of police patrol at the area. There many homeless people there hanging around. Basically they have no place to go and the park provide tree shade and benches. There are concrete sidewalk around the park for leisure strolling. A lap on the park is 0.24 mile. If you want to go a mile is 4 laps. Some did bring the dog out. But I am not sure it is a good dog park. It is a simple Square park in the middle of the city.

Bathrooms def left something to be desired. Saw a local stage play. Put the Blanket down in a nice grassy knoll only to find gianormis ants crawling on us 20 minutes into the play. Nice visual park with plenty of old growth trees

This is place is wonderful. It's somewhat hard to find being right off the interstate before the…read moreSunshine Skyway, but that makes it pretty easy to get to. For fellow parents, here's my review of the playground: *Great shade - both natural canopy coverages and a canvas screen over the playground. Very important for any FL playground. *Great play equipment - swings (for big and small kids), slides, things to climb. New and well maintained. *Beautiful scenery - right by the water, stunning views. *Safety - I like the foot traffic the disc golf and picnic tables brings, so it's not too desolate feeling I have seen families and other groups gather here and it seems ideal for that. Use one of the many picnic tables or bring folding chairs, bring some food, and you've got a great day by the water. People also seem to love the disc golf course - someone told me it's the only course in St. Petersburg. This is excellent land-use by the city government because it seems to attract a lot of people and seems like a low-cost, eco-friendly way to provide recreation for people. My only feedback for the city is 1) plant even more trees by the playground for even more shade and 2) upgrade the trash cans - the squirrels easily get in them and drag trash out.

Lol

This is a pretty nice park. It is all fenced which is nice. One section has exercise equipment…read morefor the adults (although kids try some of them also). My only issue with this side is there is one piece of equipment that I cannot figure out how to use. Wish there was some signs with instructions or illustrations for each piece of equipment. Other part of park is for the kids. One section seems like a toddler area with baby swings nearby. There are also 2 regular swings in this section. In the middle are lots of climbing type pieces with a section with a slide. There are at least 3 spin type pieces and one "elevator" type piece you have to climb up to the step area. This is not obvious so my great niece had to watch someone else do it before she figured out how it worked. After that it was her favorite thing to do. The slide only has a bar type climb access which is not great if you have a kid that prefers steps or is smaller. There is a slide in the toddler area that is easier to get up to but a smaller length slide. Overall we enjoyed coming to this playground. It has wood chips on the ground and is fairly shaded. There is parking for about 6 vehicles which seemed adequate when we were there. It is at the end of a neighborhood and runs along Gulfport Blvd. I recommend trying this location especially if you are near this area.
