My family cardiologist found that I had atrial flutter 100% of the time and at risk for Atrial…read morefibrillation. He said I needed an Atrial Ablation procedure and recommended Dr. Ong. Dr. Ong did the procedure at West Hills Hospital; in a room staffed with 5 busy nurses, a giant monitoring screen and filled with technical equipment, designed to map, monitor and control the procedure. It was supposed to be a simpler procedure, right ventricle, I believe. But Dr. Ong saw in his mapping of my heart that additional ablations were required and did them all, insuring a perfect result. I've waited for 9 months to be sure of the result. I saw Dr Ong for my 9 month checkup , yesterday, and no flutter or fibrillation exits. He did a first class job. Dr. Ong also has well trained office staff. They know the monitoring equipment well. Zoey was my primary contact. She was competent, patient, and personable. I should add that Dr. Ong has a quality I have found in other Asian doctors...low on touchy-feeling and hand holding, but high on technical competence. Personally, I'll take the competence, my wife can hold my hand.

He didn't rush me at all -- we spent a full 45+ minutes together, and he made sure I understood everything. That level of patience and presence is so rare these days. What impressed me most was how up-to-date he is.
