Felt like we were unwelcome (with outward rudeness), the services were poor (they forgot to seal the urn full of cremains), and the atmosphere there is more like a cheap movie set of a bad movie! Hopefully this review can reach families before they are in the situation of having to find funeral services under duress!

From the very first interaction, Amy treated my family and me with such compassion, patience, and genuine care that it immediately eased some of the overwhelming weight we were carrying. She communicated clearly, promptly, and gently, always making sure I understood each step and never making me feel rushed or like "just another case." Amy went above and beyond in ways I will never forget. Coordinating the cremation and transport of my brother across state lines was emotionally excruciating, yet Amy handled every detail with grace and precision. She even ensured we could track his journey using an AirTag, which brought an unexpected level of comfort and reassurance during an otherwise unbearable process. Her thoughtfulness, responsiveness, and kindness made an impossible situation feel manageable. Amy Swift is a rare and remarkable human being. Her empathy is real, her professionalism impeccable, and her heart unmistakable in everything she does. I will forever be grateful to her and to Wilks Funeral Home for treating my brother with dignity and our family with such profound compassion. If you find yourself needing funeral services, I cannot recommend Amy and Wilks highly enough--they are truly exceptional.

She showed us so much grace and patience, helping us make sense of an unbelievable situation (again, from several states away) and never made us feel bad about all the calls and emails from our family. She adjusted a floral order to be sent to my parents instead of the funeral home... she and the team set up a beautiful private viewing space for us to collect his ashes... she walked my parents through all their options with so much tenderness. I could go on and on, but I'll end by saying that we will never forget the kindness and empathy Amy showed us during the hardest thing we've walked through. Thank you from the bottom of our broken hearts.

It's incredibly insensitive to charge an additional $150 after thousands of dollars just for me (1 person) to say goodbye.
