I have been using William Place Dental since I moved to the area four years ago. I have seen the same dentist every time I have visited (usually every 6 months as I have a problem with my jaw) which is great; continuity of care is a rarity in the NHS and it makes so much difference to me to build up a rapport with medical professionals.
The receptionists, my dentist, and all of the nurses who have assisted with my appointments have always been lovely. Especially my dentist who I trust implicitly always has time to explain things to me on my level and lets me jump around to see my X-Rays when they are taken (yearly, as standard NHS preventative care) as I'm always curious to see (I study human biology).
The practice offers both NHS and private care. I have used both services and I have always been very pleased with them.
The building itself is very nice - quite newly built (or refurbished). The waiting room is nice (although you might want to bring a book) and the treatment rooms are really very nice - all the mod-cons (as far as I am aware!) and much nicer than several other dentists I have been to.
I usually opt for early morning appointments as that usually guarantees you will be seen with the least delay (I forgive them in the evenings if there's a bit of a wait - I assume my dentist cares for each patient individually and provides the care they need be it on a shorter or longer time than allocated (15mins per patient).
I would recommend to everyone and anyone in the area. I always leave my dentist happy that I've received VIP treatment. read more
