I have been using William Place Dental since I moved to the area four years ago. I have seen the…read moresame dentist every time I have visited (usually every 6 months as I have a problem with my jaw) which is great; continuity of care is a rarity in the NHS and it makes so much difference to me to build up a rapport with medical professionals. The receptionists, my dentist, and all of the nurses who have assisted with my appointments have always been lovely. Especially my dentist who I trust implicitly always has time to explain things to me on my level and lets me jump around to see my X-Rays when they are taken (yearly, as standard NHS preventative care) as I'm always curious to see (I study human biology). The practice offers both NHS and private care. I have used both services and I have always been very pleased with them. The building itself is very nice - quite newly built (or refurbished). The waiting room is nice (although you might want to bring a book) and the treatment rooms are really very nice - all the mod-cons (as far as I am aware!) and much nicer than several other dentists I have been to. I usually opt for early morning appointments as that usually guarantees you will be seen with the least delay (I forgive them in the evenings if there's a bit of a wait - I assume my dentist cares for each patient individually and provides the care they need be it on a shorter or longer time than allocated (15mins per patient). I would recommend to everyone and anyone in the area. I always leave my dentist happy that I've received VIP treatment.

Turns out that's pretty much a pre-sales appointment where they try and scare you into paying money by showing you pictures on google of what may happen to you and telling you if you don't act now you'll have to pay 30 grand to get them fixed. Got sent off by the doctor with the words "let us know if you want to save your teeth"... I visit a dentist (different ones) on a very regular basis and have never heard of what he tried to "scare me" into there and when spoken to normally and provided with options my health is my #1 priority and I'm happy to spend money on it if necessary or even just "helpful". however I left that place just thinking "what the hell was that?!" and 85£ lighter which were nothing but an absolute waste of money and time...

What they aren't clear about is the price. They carried out work on my teeth without fully explaining the cost and procedure, merely providing vague explanations about how quick and easy it will be. They then hit me with an extortionate bill for some work that took less than 45 minutes to do. What should have cost £100-200 at any other dentist cost £800 here. They try to avoid telling you the total cost of the work they are doing like a dodgy mechanic and simply hit you with the bill afterwards. Total rip off merchants. Avoid.

I called and made an appointment. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a friendly receptionist and offered coffee. The office is decorated with art and vintage model airplanes. I got into the chair and was examined by a friendly dental assistant. The dentist then came in and we chatted a bit and he asked a few questions. Nitrous oxide was offered, along with Bose noise canceling headphones and my choice of tunes : ) I went for a live Fleetwood Mac album. During my cleaning it was discovered that I had a cavity. During the procedure, Dr. Druttman explained what he was doing before he did it which made me less anxious. Most importantly...the drilling and filling was nearly painless. I left the office feeling totally at ease. I would recommend CAP city to anyone needing an excellent dentist in London, and especially to anyone who's scared of the dentist.

My husband and I had our first teeth cleaning here... We came by Underground and It was a bit hard…read moreto find... We arrived 30 minutes early for our appointment... They had more than a couple of resident dentists so it is possible to have simultaneous appointments for couples to save time... The whole clinic itself is small and only had three chairs for patients who are waiting. They had a bottle of water and plastic cups for patients and also free toothpaste testers from Colgate and Oral B. The receptionist is welcoming and friendly, she book d us both in and made us take a medical survey on a tablet. After about 20 minutes, the receptionist approached us and let us know that my dentist will be calling me soon but my husband would need to wait about 15 more minutes for his appointment... She gave him a voucher for a free hot or cold drink from the cafe just outside for his wait. My dentist finally called my not long after that and our treatment began. The treatment was not too uncomfortable it was pleasant for a cleaning. I had a diamond shine polish which included air polis of water and bicarbonate which the dentist said was good for removing staining... After the treatment, she showed me pictures of how plaque damages the teeth from between the teeth and how important cleaning in between teeth. She made me gargle a special nice mouthwash, my teeth felt clean but my teeth still looks yellowish... But i guess teeth colour doesn't change that quickly in one session anyway. She gave me a couple of small brushes for in between my teeth and small tubes of toothpaste to bring home as well as a string of super-floss from oral b. My husband's dentist did not give him this. But she gave him a lot of advice and recommendations about gum disease because he had so much gum bleeding. They are very good at giving advice on teeth hygiene and future treatments, we bought most of their recommendations and would follow recommended future treatments. The Diamond Gloss treatment costs £89, they will take £40 for deposit upon booking and take the rest upon completion of treatment. The whole treatment took me a little above 30 minutes. They did say around 30-40 minutes of treatment on their advertisements. If you take care of your teeth really good I guess you only need to see them once a year but if you have bleeding gums then every 3-6 months.

So I needed a cleaning and didn't want to trek back to Ireland for my usual dentist or over to Harley Str to be bankrupted. Or to the dreaded NHS. I'd never go to an NHS dentist because, frankly, I am a snob and I'd rather pay for the best treatment. They once took my ex-bf's tooth out when he could have easily just got a filling. But there was a fancy Smilepod place next to my office*. They say they take the bureaucracy out of dentistry, which I like. It's very shiny and white and fancy and Canary Wharf looking so I booked in for a cleaning. 85 bucks for the Diamond Shine or whatever. Like I said, I don't mess around. The dentist was very friendly and welcoming, I am a very skittish patient and she was very soothing. The treatment room is so tiny. Not much room to swing a cat. I thought she did a pretty good job of cleaning and was very gentle. I was quite happy with the result and she gave me some good advice on brushing etc. The prices for actual dentistry work are kind of high here, but that's what you can expect from Canary Wharf. They have after work appointments too, which you don't get with the NHS and I was able to book an appointment the very next day with no nonsense from them. * I literally am so lazy.

Booked appointment with dr. Naazi Marouf who, judging from the business card, is a dental surgeon. It took 3 visits to fix it and the tooth was still bothering me .. The first visit resulted in filling with wide gap left between the front teeth which looked awful .. Moreover, the bite was horrible preventing me from eating well .. So booked a second visit .. this time dr. Naazi Marouf trimmed the tooth too much leaving the gap between front and bottom teeth. Awfull ..The third visit the gap disappeared but the bite, again, was uncomfortable .. Worst, dr. Naazi refused any further dental assistance offering a recommendation to a specialist .. Quite frustrating experience .. multiplied by annoying jokes and comments coming from the doctor .. All unpleasant and disappointing .. But Bupa Centre stepped in .. Received a phone call from Georgia, supervisor(?), offering another visit, this time with dr. Rafael Barosso .. 10-15 minutes of dental work performed by dr. Rafa did the trick .. Bite is fine and confidence in the Bupa Centre returned .. Have more dental work scheduled .. 5 stars for dr. Rafa ..
