Part 1: The Extraction - Took one look at Dr. Beckley's eyes and knew there was no way this…read moresurgeon is going to do a shoddy job. I proceeded to read about his background and felt supported in my gut instinct. I am a very picky person and do not like seeing ANY doctors or health professionals, period. My friends have horror stories about dentists removing the wrong teeth and that's why I let my teeth degrade to the point where there would be Zero confusion as to which teeth needed to come out, LOL. I still didn't trust a regular dentist because a long time ago, one had chipped my back tooth trying to remove an upper wisdom. I decided to go with a highly rated oral surgeon and have no regrets! I did not want IV Sedation but understood the necessity. Dr. Beckley completed everything in what felt like record-timing because my Mom was surprised he was already done. I examined my teeth at home and saw no damage to any of the adjacent ones which was my biggest fear. Thus, I highly recommend Dr. Beckley for extractions and will do a follow-up review after the implant process. I also want to recognize his entire medical and admin staff for being helpful, making patients feel welcome, and not rushing / becoming annoyed when having to explain insurance concerns and other questions. Their motto about "... compassion and surgical excellence" has been my exact experience so far. Bravo!

I already knew Dr Beckley was a trustworthy expert with whom my daughter had a phenomenally easy…read moreexperience for her wisdom teeth removal, so today I went in for a second opinion after being referred by my dentist for an implant. Dr. Beckley evaluated my asymptomatic tooth and xray, and suggested the "wait and see" approach as he prefers to "treat patients not X-rays" and recommended I wait this current crown out as long as possible before jumping to an implant, as an implant may not outlive me. I am so grateful I was able to get an honest opinion and a doctor who is not ripping me off, but putting the big picture in place! So for now I will put off this front tooth extraction and implant, which will be quite an ordeal one day, but will be back in his wonderfully professional and friendly office when I eventually need it!

I've been seeing Dr. Oliveira for a long time, and like many women, going to the OB/GYN isn't the…read moretop thing on my list of things to do. When Dr. Oliveira moved from Pleasanton (Valley Health) to Palo Alto Medical Foundation, I was disappointed. I knew that moving to a bigger, more institutionally oriented group wasn't going to sit well with me, and knew that wait times would be longer, staff would be less personable, my identity would be less important. I am happy to say that I was 100% wrong. Even being "new" to this medical group, I waited the shortest period of time I have ever waited, I was greeted warmly by the reception staff, the nurse took extra time to chat personally with me, and was totally unrushed in taking my vitals, discussing med history and so forth. Dr. Oliveira has been my favorite doctor since I began seeing her. She's quick witted, articulate, intelligent, extremely knowledgeable and committed. I see her very infrequently, and yet, each time, without fail, she remembers family member names, occupations, events from years ago. She shows her "human" side with ease, is comfortable discussing anything and as such, makes the patient feel comfortable. I cannot think of a high enough recommendation to give to a woman in need of an extraordinary physician.

I would not recommend her for your doctor, ladies…read more I saw her several times and became very frustrated with the extremely long waits in the lobby and exam room. I was also not impressed with most of the care I received from her. Following a very upsetting medical issue which left me in tears, she laughed at me. Yes, laughed at me. The office staff is extremely rude, not a pleasant place at all. Go for it; read the reviews for Dr. Newman who works out of this office as well. Other reviewers mention the staff too: http://www.yelp.com/biz/newman-barbara-md-pleasanton Funny...in an ironic way... I get the last laugh. What goes around, comes around. Thank goodness for this awesome informative tool...YELP!

I'm so happy with my results from Nurse Lauren! She's bubbly, kind, and welcoming. As a Black…read morewoman, I was initially apprehensive because the Danville/Blackhawk area has a small Black population, and I wasn't sure how much experience the office had working with people who look like me. My results are gorgeous and natural, exactly what I requested. I'm very happy with my experience. Five stars!

I had liposuction done by Dr. Stompro in July of 2023. Leading up to the liposuction, I had some…read moredoubts specifically caused by one of the "medical" staff not knowing how to take a blood pressure? I'm a bigger lady and, because of that, need the bigger blood pressure cuff. The woman who took my blood pressure in the office used a small blood pressure cuff, causing a false reading of high blood pressure because it was severely constricting my arm. When I mentioned to her that I'm just fat but don't have high blood pressure, she just shrugged me off and told me to go to my doctor every few days to have my blood pressure checked leading up to the surgery. My doctor, being an actual medical professional, took my blood pressure correctly and determined that I did not have high blood pressure and immediately questioned if the woman that attempted to first take my blood pressure was even a doctor. Hilarious, inconvenient, but ultimately no big deal. My surgery date came and went and I immediately noticed afterward that I was having issues holding my pee. I mentioned this to the "medical" staff at Dr Stompro's office and they informed me that this is normal after surgery and that it should go away with time. When it didn't, I brought it up again and one of the "medical" staff at Dr. Stompro's office pointed out that it may be because of weakness in my abdomen or because of fat putting pressure on my bladder?? I don't know, whatever. So I continue on. I ignored it, I tried to treat it, and here we are. Y'all, I'm THREE YEARS past the surgery and I'm not even 30 and I'm still incontinent from this surgery. I've gone to a urologist that was too fat-phobic to even try to diagnose me, a physical therapist that figured it had to be because my pelvic floor was weak (then she determined it isn't), and another specialist that has finally determined that it may be a nerve issue (further testing needed). All we know is that I wasn't incontinent before the surgery and I am now. I called Dr. Stompro's office recently for the paperwork associated with my surgery so that I can pass it along to the specialist to see if it helps to determine a cause of the incontinence (and thus a fix) and the front desk person was rude for no reason?? I think she assumed I was getting the paperwork to sue?? I'm sure they all know I would have been able to sue because, and I cannot express this enough, INCONTINENCE IS NOT AN EXPECTED OUTCOME FOR LIPOSUCTION. Look, if I weren't outside of the statute of limitations I WOULD sue but, since I am, I just want to stop being incontinent. I'm still fat after my liposuction, which I don't mind! I'm soft and shapely and I love that, I just want to stop peeing on myself randomly. I'm now leaving reviews everywhere and filing a complaint against this office - I spent nearly $15,000 to be incontinent for potentially the rest of my life. I'd recommend another office, another doctor, another everything.
