Had my first visit with Dr. Entwisle and he is amazing. I was early to my appointment, and he actually saw me earlier than my appointment time. Second, you can tell he is good at what he does and is knowledgeable. I left my appointment happy and relieved, knowing Dr. Entwisle had a course of action and a treatment plan to get me feeling better. I totally recommend him! I actually emailed my primary care physician when I got home, to thank her for referring me to Dr. Entwisle. Also, all of the staff in the office are efficient, friendly and professional. I highly recommend Dr. Christopher Entwisle MD for colonoscopy screening. My ex passed away of colorectal cancer at 46, which put our children at increased risk. Having a colonoscopy is not high on anyone's list, but it's the absolute last thing a 30 year old male would prefer to do. My son's colonoscopy screening was successfully accomplished in no small part due to Dr. Entwisle's personable manner and the rapport he established with my son during the initial consult. Check-in and pre-op on the day of the procedure went smoothly at the out patient facility on-site. The procedure was over in 30 minutes. The nurses and anesthesiologist were all friendly and professional. I especially appreciate that Dr. Entwisle personally met with my son and I after the procedure while my son was in recovery to give us the news of his clean bill of health. read more

I love this doctor until their office staff told me I couldn't keep my appt because I was 10 minutes late. How many times have you or I waited for a doctor for 10 minutes or more? I guess if I was a paying customer it would be different. Oh wait I am a paying customer! I feel like these doctors or staff think their doing you a favor. I pay over $800 a month for health insurance as self-employed. This is the only profession that you're at their mercy, even when your a paying customer! Please note I have seen this doctor several times. Good doctor, I'm sure he doesn't need my business so nobody cares. Off to look for another doctor. Let's hope the competence is the same and their customer service and care and consideration for patients better. read more

My primary physician refered me to doctor Entwisle when she found how much Zancac I was taking. He did an endoscopy and found a hiatal hernia and barrett's esophagus. He is one of the most best doctors I've ever had. He took the time to explain everything in detail. He didn't talk down to me or rush through the explanation like a lot of doctors. I think nowadays, bed side manners are seen more as a frill than a necessity when it comes to treating patients. Dr. Entwisle is not only an excellent doctor, but he's also got very good bed side manners. My stomach is all kinds of messed up, but dr. Entwisle makes me feel like he is on my side and that we will get to the bottom of this. It's important to establish a good patient doctor relationship and dr. Entwisle is a patients doctor. My experience with Dr. Entwisle is during the first appointment I was reading my symptoms of abdominal pain and he took the paper out of my hand and said lie down I'm examining you now. I had an instant dislike of his smug mannerism. He acted like it was no big deal when I told him that I had a Zenker's Diverticulum which is a benign growth in my esophagus and told me you can always get it removed surgically. I wanted to have a colonoscopy with another doctor but since I was planning to leave on vacation it would take a while to book another appointment. Before the colonoscopy while I was waited to be sedated he was right in front of me staring at his iPhone and didn't seem really interested in the patient as usual. What a bedside manner! After the colonoscopy he said he couldn't get the instrument through the large colon and it was blocked and asked me to get a CT scan. I came back the next week and he said I have 4th stage colon cancer that probably spread to the liver. He then said basically all we can do is palliative care indicating that I would never get better. He then referred me to an awful general surgeon. He doesn't know how to talk to patients and he was totally wrong. Luckily I got into Stanford and had the head of the colon surgery take out the tumor and the head of the liver department take out a small lesion in the liver. I then completed 12 rounds of chemo. Given my life style and the numerous studies show that after the cancer is removed and after 12 rounds of chemo. I have a 50% chance that the cancer won't return in 5 years and even it did return I could get more treatment. He gave no hope to me except a death sentence without even knowing the research studies and in my case not knowing if the lesion in my liver was a cyst or a lesion at that point. He should really learn how to talk to patients and I don't recommend anyone see him. Also if you are diagnosed with cancer I recommend going to UCSF or Stanford and stay away from Valley Care for treatment. read more

I've had to go to the ER 4 times over the past 8 years due to severe stomach pain. They have always pumped me full of pain killers and sent me on my way. This last time the admitting nurse said why don't you go see Christopher Entwisle, M.D., He's a great doctor and should be able to help you out. It took a few weeks for me to be able to get in, but I have to say Dr. Entwisle was fantastic. We talked about everything; what I ate, what I drank, stress, family history, past surgery's, blood work. I can't remember having a doctor ask me so many questions. He was really trying to find a solution. I have to go see him again on June 1st to have upper endoscopy procedure done and I'm not even worried about it. He made me feel cared for and gave me hope that he was going to get to the bottom of this. That's all I can ask for. I highly recommend Dr. Entwisle for any stomach issues. read more

I've been having some issues internally that my regular doctor isn't able to address. She referred me to Dr. Entwisle and I have to agree with the previous reviewer that Dr. Entwisle is great. He really does give me a sense that he is 100% on my side and that we'll figure out whatever the trouble is. He isn't afraid to call for tests and get all of the information required to make the best decisions going forward. I would absolutely refer my friends and/or family to him. I am grateful for Dr Entwisle's expertise. I wouldn't be here today if he hadn't diagnosed me with colon cancer two years ago. I was almost 48 years old then, with no family history. I was recommended surgery 2 weeks after the colonoscopy and continue to be cancer free and under his care. He has great bed-side manners and truly cares about my well-being. This is the Dr you want by your side if you are ill. He's amazing and Sharon, his front desk nurse is the best ever. They make a great team! The first time I saw Dr Entwhistle was an emergency situation. They got me right in and also recommended a rush order to the surgeon who did my surgery to have my gall bladder removed. I've seen Dr. Entwhistle several times since for maintenance colonoscopies and he is always, on time, professional, compassionate and caring. I have gone through all the troubles to gather documents from workers comp insurance that his office requested, the process went with almost 2 months, all documents have sent to them, at the end the office says the doctor doesn't accept workers comp patient. I am of the "age" where I needed a colonoscopy for screening purposes. I hadn't ever seen a GI doc before, but based on reviews I had read about Dr. Entwisle, I made an appointment to see him for a consultation. He immediately put me at ease and thoroughly explained the procedure to me. I made the appointment for the colonoscopy, and I had it done earlier this week. I am happy to report that it was a piece of cake!
