I was alone in a room with a laptop. ### My experience was unpleasant. Dr. Teng removed my gallbladder. The surgeon did not call to see how I was doing after my surgery. Recovery was estimated at an hour and a half. I was in recovery for almost 7 hours with dry heaves and in a state of extreme discomfort. Why this happened I don't know though the fact the anestheologist did not call me the evening before might have contributed to my discomfort. I suspect I was overdosed with anesthesia, which possibly could have been prevented had we spoken. My recovery was complicated by hemmorids. I received no medical instructions regarding how this condition would impact my recovery/digestion. During my follow-up appointment with Francis Teng he did not ask me if I'd had a bowel movement. He did not examine/touch my belly to check out my colon which is the first thing my primary care dr. did when I saw him the same week. Prior to surgery I was advised that Teng's office was an unpleasant place. I thought no big deal. Well it is a big deal. I lost some paperwork and when I asked for duplicate copies I was chastised. For my pre-op visit I saw no doctor and no nurse. They set me in a room with a laptop and an outdated video. So yeah, I'd never go back. I'd never recommend. I think they look very natural and recovery was easy. The reasons for the 3 star review is because I do not like my scarring. My first BA the scarring was minima and in a straight small line. This scarring has like circles at the end and it looks like my stitches pokes out from my skin. At my 3rd post op appointment I pointed this out to the nurse who told me that the stitches dissolve and I need to massage them. Well months have gone by with DAILY massage and they look the same. I can literally feel the stitches still in there. Ugly scarring. The 2nd reason for the review is because he has a gigantic package of paperwork to fill out before hand with weird questions asking if you've ever sued a plastic surgeon and tons of other weird questions. The 3 rd reason for the review is because I wanted another procedure done, lipo, so I called to make and appointment. When I called, the lady on the phone mentioned that I had previously left a review for smiths because their wait time was 2 hours every single time I went.
