Today's surgery was a huge accomplishment for me and will set a better tone for future medical procedures. My initial consultation with Dr. Hussain went very well. He answered all of my questions thoroughly and I left feeling confident enough to schedule my surgery. On surgery day I was extremely nervous, extremely. Off the bat the receptionists calmed my nerves with their sweet smiles and affirmations. The technician/surgeons assistant, Emily guided me to the surgery room and got me all set up.She described every step which helps so much so that I knew what to expect. She was very kind and thoughtful. She is great at her job and I wish her the best in her medical career. A few other people passed through who very also very kind and helped to lighten the mood. Dr. Hussain came in to start surgery and talked me through things to help calm me. Before you know it I was knocked out and didn't even know it. Emily rolled me out to our car and now I am home recovering. I feel great and am going to take all the recommended steps to recover well. I hope this helps anyone with anxiety around this sort of thing. The staff and doctors are wonderful. Thank you. I forgot to mention the environment is very homey, comfortable, welcoming and smells clean and wonderful which always helps!

If and when I have to schedule a procedure done besides my regular cleaning the front office informs me of the cost so there are no surprises afterwards. Many years ago, I broke my front tooth off in an accident on a Friday. My regular dentist at that time would not see me until the nest week, I called Dr. Miller. He worked me in at 12 noon that day. I don't know how people take out loans and go to schools that teach such idiocy and then try to push it on the public with an authoritative stance -but I know full well that Fluoride is a neruo- toxin and a by-product of the aluminum industry and everyone with half a brain cell knows it calcifies the pineal gland and does organ damage - yet they recommended it for my teeth. Their equipment is outdated. I feel like when I visit they are using the same machines I saw in high school. There are a lot of new technologies this office can't afford to bring in, which also bothered me about the office. Having said that - I told the office manager directly that she stepped out of line when not helping me to pay my bill properly. I always bring cash but chose another option and she was haughty and rude and thought it was ok to tell me that I had to jump through hoops - instead of doing her job. I was an office manager for years and know full well that she was being bossy and lazy by not doing what I asked - and then she told the doctor I offended her and they had an office meeting and asked me not to return ?!? Well - they are getting reported to the state for bullying and I am not even sure of the legality of having a meeting and discussing a patient with the whole office. I called multiple locations and no one would accept my insurance , but more importantly no one could get me in for an appointment today. As soon as Emily answered the phone at Asheville dental , I knew my luck was changing . She was so sweet and sympathetic. She made sure to explain everything to me including costs, since my insurance is no good in North Carolina and she got me in for an appointment in the afternoon. They sent me a text with all the information and a link to my paperwork so I could fill everything out before I arrived. I made sure to get there early and the offices are warm and welcoming. I gave my name in the front and they checked me in. I was called back right at my appointment time. I explained my situation and Makayla was patient and understanding. She checked my teeth and took an x-ray and made sure to verify the cost with me. Dr. Powell came in to examine me and he was absolutely wonderful. He explained the issue and provided me with lots of options . He answered all of my questions and I left feeling super hopeful and incredibly relieved. Thank you to Emily and Makayla and Dr. Powell! I see now there is a ridiculous amount of what may be fictional reviews. No company or person has hundreds of positive reviews without a single negative. What a JOKE! I am leaving this review about Asheville Dental located at 10C Yorkshire St. 28803. Never in my life have I been cheated, tricked, lied to and abused like this from any professional or business. I am 74yr old senior citizen and was taken advantage of by the dentist Grant Dasher and Asheville Dental. I admit my wits aren't as alert as they once were but these people should be ashamed and their office investigated by the Health Dept. I received a certified letter telling me the work was completed and I was dismissed from Asheville Dental and should find another dentist for all future treatments. This is because they convinced me to pay the total amount even before the work was 25% (twenty-five percent) completed. I was lied to when I asked if he could give me straight white teeth and he said yes. A 3rd year dental student could do this but i received mostly straight and mostly white teeth and also how long this treatment would take. Dasher told me it will take approximately 12 to 14 weeks. It took 31 (thirty-one) weeks. Imagine being unable to eat without pain for 31 weeks. So unnecessary! Dasher told me he would refund the cost of 2 (two) crowns because he saw two of my teeth would not support crowns. I was reimbursed for 1 (one) crown and cheated out of the second. He tried to convince me he had given me $4000.00 (four-thousand dollars) worth of service for free. NONSENSE/RIDICULOUS! He never mentioned this until I requested my refund for the second crown. They refused to return my money. Another cheat and another lie! There is more I could say but my point has been made to let the public know to stay away from Asheville Dental. They are the most dishonest and untrustworthy office I have ever been in. One may ask why I stayed at Asheville Dental after being treated with such obvious disrespect and put through so much unnecessary pain and discomfort? As i mentioned before they had my money, paid in full. Sometime along week 22 (twenty-two) Dasher offered me a refund when I told him I had lost all trust and confidence in him and his work. His refund was a few pennies on the dollar. I told Grant Dasher to his face while looking into his eyes that he had "No Honor" he also has No Morals or Principles. In my opinion the biggest cheater and liar I've ever known. This explains why I had noticed there never seemed to be any patients in their lobby. Many visits I was the only person when I arrived and no one there when I left. As I was leaving their office for the last time I heard them laughing. Dasher and his small staff are a disgrace to the dental profession. I have no proof other than visual (what I observed) that on occasion he used instruments that were not sanitized. The bags that are used to sanitize were opened and wrinkly on other occasions there were no bags and wore no gloves at all. This could be "Very Dangerous." I get no satisfaction in leaving such a negative yet 100% truthful review. In my opinion they are not honest people and the public needs to know! The public should know and be made aware!
