Doctor Scholer's office is a friendly kind loving place where our family has gone for dental care for well over 10 years. Today we had the opportunity to bring our two year-old so that he could get acclimated to the experience and I have to say, our two-year-old does not warm up to people very quickly. He was friends with everyone in Doctor Scholer's office from the minute we walked in the door! From our favorite reception peeps to our favorite dental hygienist (she sees our whole family even granny) to Doctor Scholer himself. Our son was saying hi and given high-fives and just enjoying his whole time at the dentist today! AMAZING! We plan on taking him to a few more appointments to acclimate him to the experience, but I'm sure after today it will be a lot easier to get a two year-old to brush his teeth. -that toy chest and red toothbrush sealed the deal! Thanks so much to Doctor Scholer and his team for all they do and being so supportive to our family over the years. I can't recommend Dr. Jeff Scholers practice enough!!

Very disappointing experience with the front desk staff. I can't comment on the dentists since my…read moreappointment was canceled for no reason. In March, I made an appointment for May 28th as a first time client. Shortly after scheduling, I received a text asking if I'd be interested in an opening sooner to which I replied yes. I provided my availability and stated I was flexible and could come most afternoons. I received a reply shortly after asking if I'd like to come the next day for a morning appt. Um no. I had already clearly stated I could do AFTERNOONS. Two weeks later I get a call and then a text asking if I'd like to be added to the "ASAP list". I thought I already was?! I was contacted AGAIN a few days later asking about my availability. How many times do I have to spell out I can come in the afternoons?! By this point, they're too much and I ask that they take me off the list. It's too much communication. May 27th comes along and I realize I've received no communication about my appointment on the 28th. I text them to find out they canceled my appointment. I NEVER told them to cancel my appointment. I simply didn't want to be constantly bothered about their "ASAP list". It's really unacceptable that they canceled an appointment I waited almost 3 months for. I was really hoping to have a good dentist 5 minutes from my house but no such luck. I was not interested in rescheduling as I completely lost trust in this office.

I am writing this review on behalf of my sister, who had an absolutely devastating and…read moreunprofessional experience at this location. She is currently suffering from a severe infection caused by an impacted wisdom tooth, which has left her in excruciating pain, running fevers, and unable to care for her family. Prior to scheduling her appointment, she did her due diligence. She called the office ahead of time to specifically confirm that they accepted her insurance and, more importantly, that they had the capability to perform a wisdom tooth extraction on-site. She was explicitly told that their oral surgeons could handle this procedure. Based on this assurance, she booked her appointment for Friday. She arrived 20 minutes early to ensure no delays, provided her health insurance, and was taken back for X-rays by a dental assistant. After the X-ray, she was left sitting in the chair for an agonizing 40 minutes waiting for the actual dentist. When the dentist finally arrived, the consultation lasted less than two minutes. They looked at her X-ray, informed her that the tooth was "really badly impacted," and promptly told her they could not perform the extraction at their office. Didn't even examine her mouth! To say this was frustrating is an understatement. What makes this experience truly negligent, however, is what happened next: They sent her home with zero treatment plan, zero pain medication (despite her visible fever and distress), and most importantly, zero referral to an office that could help her. They effectively washed their hands of the situation, leaving my extremely ill sister to fend for herself and start from scratch to find a new provider. It is completely irresponsible for a dental office to confirm they can handle a procedure over the phone, take a patient's time (and insurance information), make them wait, and then turn them away during a medical emergency without providing a referral or even a prescription to manage the pain in the interim. Please, save yourself the physical pain and emotional suffering. If you have a dental emergency or need a surgical extraction, do not trust this office to take care of you. They are either not equipped for complex cases or are happy to waste your time while you are in distress. Oh and lastly, I called them Saturday and was routed to an operate who had me on hold for 30-minutes trying to contact the San Jose office! No answer a she followed up with an email to their secretary with my phone number and no call back! Avoid this place at all costs.
