Refuse the offer and go buy it elsewhere at different online retailer or Home Dept or whatever.

The worst! For…read moreweekly turnover service in a home that we rent out in the summer, we spoke to Lucy, agreed on her service and our expectations. A list of turnover duties was agreed to, and even printed up (in Portuguese!) for the weekly crew to review. NOTHING was done on the list, almost as if it had been deliberately ignored - things like fresh toiletries put out, bed covers rotated, fresh soaps, TP, paper towels etc. put out from the supply we had laid in before the summer. We returned after the final cleaning to find the floors filthy, as if there had been no mopping ever. We spent two days doing remedial housecleaning - vacuuming the carpet in just one room filled the vacuum canister. Cookware was disgusting and scattered helter-skelter. Furniture and decor was misplaced, despite our leaving photographs of each room as it should be and asking them to refer to them weekly. In several years of summer renting, this was the third service we tried, and by far the worst.

Jim Jones, Jerry, and Devon repaired/replaced/re-wired my grinder waste water pump yesterday/today. They did a superb job assessing/diagnosing the problem, moved quickly to find the parts and replacement pump needed to get me up/running, and they thoroughly tested the new system before cleaning up and concluding the call. Devon drew the short straw and had the misfortune of being the guy who had to go all the way in to the bottom of the tank to ensure the job was done right. He kept his sense of humor throughout. Jim kept morale high and did a great job supervising, finding the new pump, offering advice/counsel. He's very safety conscious. I was particularly impressed with Jerry. He clearly knows his stuff. Took the time to explain to me how the system worked. Was clever in devising a better setup for the system. Excellent supervisor, himself. Took obvious pride in his work. Meticulous, careful, thoughtful, and efficient. I got the sense he was treating my system/problem/solution as if he was working on his own home. You have a great team! Passed a Harbor Homes work site today... what a mess on the lawn. I had to initiate a formal hearing brought against Harbor Homes with MA State Board of Licensing. The licensing board found unsatisfactory business practices and assessed fines against them. Bottom line there was no supervision at all. Never the same subs. Absolutely no pride taken in their work. Harbor homes put a wooden tent sign on our yard for advertising. Somehow it fell over and sat in the mud for over six months. That says it all. We have started a support group for irate hh customers who have all had the same experiences with these people. Never have we seen such dishonest, immoral, disrespectful and unprofessional people. None of us can figure out how they stay in business. Do not use them!!!!! Highly dishonest, but worse, horrible builders!!!

When they left the kitchen was cleaned up, construction debris were removed, and the tiles were perfectly in place. It was a big job (two backsplash areas and a wall large wall--150 sq feet of tile) with a lot of complicated woodwork to cut out around in our Italianette house built in 1853.
