3 months agoI had a mouler removed by Troy Hoover. Worst…read moreexperience I ever had at a dentist in 60 years. Hoover assured me it would be a regular extraction and would not be necessary for a sugical extraction. When I asked him if he was sure a surgical would not be be necessary for the second time, he laughed and said regular extraction is all you need. Gave me a quote and started to remove tooth. After several minutes of prying and pulling he started to cut tooth in pieces with a tool, as he kept finding more and more pieces of my tooth he finally said all tooth is removed and sent me on my way with no stitches. He imediately increased bill due to tooth having to be surgicly removed . The amount was a $64.00 increase which i paid ,but as days went by and tooth removal spot was ripped up and still bleeding, it began to irretate me that he would charge $64.00 extra after what he put me through and after he stated surgery would not be necassary twice, it literly took a couple more minutes at best to perform the proceedure. After explaining to the staff and requesting a refund for the $64.00 the office manager approved the reimbursement and immediately terminated me from any further dentistry with Troy Hoover. Not that I ever planned on returning to this dentist again anyway. So i'm writing this reveiw 3 months later because 2 days ago I went to a denist for teeth cleaning and exrays and the denetist showed me exray of a piece of the same tooth left under gum. So all that and the tooth removal is still an issue. This is the reason I felt the need for this review. Although a dentist may say "no problem, have a seat, I've pulled 100's of teeth", beware !

While I was in NC, I had an issue with my gums, so stopped by this dentist office to see if they took my insurance. They didn't take it, but said they would fill out the paperwork for me. Everybody in the office was so nice and professional. I was worried about my gum, because it was hurting. Dr. Hoover saw me right away and said I would need to see a periodontist, which works in his office on certain days. Dr. Hoovers office is open Monday - Wednesdays. I made an appointment to see her and also made an appointment for a dental cleaning with Dr. Hoover, even if it cost me more money. The receptionist was so nice and helpful. Dr. Hoover could not have been nicer. The hygienist was wonderful. I also went back to have a bite guard made and had the gum surgery. After each visit, I paid the full bill and left with the paperwork, in an envelope, ready to put in the mail, along with a copy for my files. They made it so easy! Being that I was out of network, I expected to pay a lot more out of pocket, but was happy to receive checks from insurance covering most of it. Everyone in this office treated me like I was family. After over 30 years with my Florida dentist, I have decided to make Dr. Hoover my new dentist.

If you're worried about parking, they offer parking validation in the garage with an elevator that leads directly up to the office. The interior itself is bright with plenty of natural light coming through the windows that offer a neat view of the surrounding skyscrapers. The staff are all very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. They really take the time to explain what they're seeing before providing a detailed treatment plan with transparent and reasonable pricing. I have not felt any pressure to accept treatment without due diligence.
