I have written several not-so-favorable review/s of my personal experiences with medical…read morefacilities/offices in the past. But NOT this time. Oh no. NOT. On several occasions, I missed appointments purely unintentionally, at this office. "My bad" - without question or excuse. So, my conscience being my guide, led me to go to Dr. Duggal's office to hopefully explain the extenuating circumstances regarding these missed appointments. I was very hesitant, thinking that I might be kicked out of her practice! And rightfully so - if that were the case...but it was NOT. I was permitted to speak to Dr. Duggal's Office Manager, "Summer." She allowed me entrance in to her office, quietly closing the door, and I began by apologizing profusely saying that in no way do I ever want to miss an appointment because that would have been someone else's spot. "Summer" listened intently to the extenuating circumstances I shared, explaining that I was not there to tell her my life's problems, but that these truly were the prevailing circumstances. With aplomb, she sat quietly and with an open mind, allowing me space to share this unfortunate life circumstance that is prevailing, continued listening. I was so overwhelmed by her professionalism, kindness and caring that at one point I became a tad weepy. In her kindness, she offered me a tissue. Where on this planet would any patient be afforded the opportunity and TIME to be heard? WHERE? No where that I know of...no where. I will never forget this as long as I live. This office is a gift to the medical profession in this town, and Dr. Duggal's entire staff is as well. Always welcoming patients with tender smiles, kind nods, and lending ears. Such an example to other medical offices here...I absolutely cannot THANK Dr. Duggal's office staff enough, and in particular, "Summer" for who she is...a true, caring professional in the medical field. I like to think of YELP reviews as presenting experiences that lend themselves to the readers' own mind of discerning the "right" or "wrong" of a situation. Often times readers "get their panties in a wad" over an experience that is not shed in good light. Why? Let's all seek to be the SOLUTION to a problem or "one-off" experience that is not good...instead of crucifying the reviewer for sharing a problem - further demonstrating the truth of the review and of their inability to accept constructive criticism.

Have been a patient of Dr. Duggal for years and she's great but the office lacks customer…read moreservice... it's impossible to get anyone to EVER answer phones or get a call back! Always takes multiple requests from pharmacy and myself for her office to refill anything! even after just having an appointment with doctor! Super frustrating I hate it ... wish she would hire new people in the office that want to actually work.

I had surgery performed by Dr Moelleken In July of 2017. After 4 - 5 years of pain medication I…read moreneeded my back repaired and Dr. Moelleken found severe scoliosis curve which you can see on the picture as well as he installed a spinal cord stimulator. Unfortunately he had to put three pedicure screws in and fuse my lumbar section of my back. The compression fracture t11 and T12 happened as a result of my surgery. 9 out 10 people cannot pass a bone density test. I have documents from Stanford and Mayo clinic. So I need the doctor Moelleke's help to adjust my pain medication appropriately. I CAN NOT walk 100 yds without stopping because I have severe back pain and severe muscle spasms. I've been diagnosed with severe back pain syndrome, failed back pain syndrome, fail surgery syndrome, etc. I mean I could name several things that happened but it was not the surgeon's fault. He did the best he could under severe severe conditions. In fact he had to amend his original operating report. So I thank him for that. I would recommend anybody who has a back problem to see physicians at this facility first. 9 out of 10 people cannot pass a bone density test in the United States. I have two letters one from the Mayo clinic one from Stanford Medical and they state the same thing. After doing a 5-year test this is what they found out so no wonder a lot of people have broken hips and all this other stuff, because what we need to do is drink more calcium and be more active and have weight resistant training it doesn't have to be 10,000 lb just lightweight training keep your bones strong! As well as insure you're drinking and getting enough calcium with supplements. There are several foods and vegetables with calcium in them. If you're over 50 it requires a lifestyle change and how you eat. One last thing that everybody forgets is the staff who answer the phone and work behind the scenes at the Spine and Orthopedic Center are extremely competent and they're extremely nice over the phone. No one ever gives them any credit where credit is due, hence this is why I'm writing this.

I hurt my back and was in terrible pain. In a desperate Google search of spine orthopedic doctors I…read morecalled here and they were able to see me that day. I saw Dr. Tristan Zhang. After a quick exam and intake, he said I needed an X-ray and spinal injection and probably an MRI. He did not explain or give a diagnosis. I had the X-ray performed that day and the following day my injection which was performed under mild anesthesia. The day of my injection I asked about the findings of my X-ray (I asked prior to the anesthesia, so I was fully aware). He said the X-ray showed some mild arthritis in the lower back. A week later I had my tele-health visit with Dr. Zhang, which began with a nurse. The nurse asked how I was doing (much better, thankfully). The nurse prescribed physical therapy. Dr. Zhang came on the line and looked at my X-ray. He told me I had a different diagnosis than what he had told me at the time of my injection. When I asked why he was giving me a different diagnosis than before, he responded that he had not really reviewed my X-ray on the day of my injection. Wow! He injected something in my spine without bothering to review my X-ray fully. He then proceeded to say I needed to consult with his associate about the possibility of needing surgery. When I questioned him, he got visibly upset and left the tele health visit and didn't return. I was left with his nurse. I declined meeting with his associate. I made an appointment with a spine surgeon from UCLA. After thoroughly reviewing my X-ray and giving me a long exam, they told me I didn't need surgery and were rather horrified that surgery was suggested for my condition. I am now going to be doing physical therapy (which Dr.Zhang said I could not do). The doctors at UCLA explained my condition extensively with me and listened with respect to my concerns. They treated me like a human being. Dr. Zhang did not thoroughly review my X-ray before performing a procedure on my spine, and his assumption that I may need surgery was not accurate. Thank goodness I sought a second opinion. As a patient, I deserve to be treated with respect and maybe a kind bedside manner, not to mention a doctor who examines my X-ray completely before performing any procedures. This was one the WORST medical experiences of my life. I will say the nurses in the surgery center and the office staff were kind. Please if you find yourself in pain go somewhere else!
