this is probably the finest acting studio in new york city. "The William Esper Studio is dedicated to the work of Sanford Meisner and William Esper and the proposition that acting is a creative art and true excellence in its practice may only be achieved through total mastery of technical craft." the studio boasts such alumni as Sam Rockwell, David Morse, Jeff Goldblum, Larry David, Aaron Eckhart just to name a few. all of the instructors here are incredibly brilliant and fully dedicated to their students' growth and understanding of the craft. the studio begins to feel like a second home of sorts. highly recommended.

These programs have truly been an excellent opportunity for my daughter to pursue her dream and passion for theater in an environment of other like-minded kids and instructors. And the programs and productions that get put together, choreographed, and performed are just truly amazing. It's been tough to see local community theater productions after watching what Camp Broadway is able to arrange in much shorter periods of time. I like the ensemble nature of the performances as well. The kids are able to learn and perform on equal footing without imbalances in stage time or stress over roles and stage time. And as I mentioned above, it's amazing what these kids are able to do. We're big fans of Camp Broadway - highly recommend if your kids are interested in theater.

The second was MyMainstage online (the covid version :)). Of course, it's hard to compare these two experiences, because we all just want our young performers to be able to get back to doing what they do in person together, but we thought the online version was very well done, appreciated the time that went into stitching the family showcase together with individual student videos, and we were glad to be a part of it! We will be back for more.

Robert Bella was inappropriate with women, head of school Kate Blumberg treated me like a simpering brat when I asked for some time off due to a outpatient surgery. Perhaps it was because it was an abortion that she felt entitled to her judgement / mean girl attitude. The student loans they helped me to get were predatory at 12% through Fannie Mae. Cynthia Sawyer was catty AF and generally unhelpful and worst of all was David Mamet. We were encouraged to attend a retreat workshop in Vermont we would get so much out of it etc etc. I witnessed Mamet absolutely tear into a young woman as she was performing a scene ... it was the most awful thing ever. She was in tears and he continued to ridicule her and exclaim "why is she still crying, why can't she stop crying" it was beyond excruciating to witness this blatant abusive behaviour. It was 99% attitude and 1% applicable technique. Everyone should be aware the technique is very mental. If you're trying to get out of your head and into your body... go somewhere else.

Rob also really took his time to give me constructive advice on what I needed to work on, and I did my best each time to implement it in the best way I can. Great Customer Service, Amazing Views and Chill Atmosphere!…read more We made reservations for my friend's birthday on 6/28 and this was one of the best overall experiences ever. Caio was very friendly and knowledgeable when it came on to the food and the drinks, he was also very entertaining and had great comedic timing. Camila was attentive, she came over to us and asked how everything was going and continued to check on us throughout the night. Even though it was super busy the staff remained friendly. The food was good, the portion sizes weren't big but were just right. The wings are not jumbo and the Truffle fries need to be tweaked, maybe change the recipe or call it fries with Parmesan cheese. As far as the drinks, the cocktail pouches were a hit. We had 2 each including two additional shots. This place is good for a happy hour, lunch, brunch, date, chill spot, etc. The views of the city were great, it's social media friendly with a lot of picture opportunities, they also have jumbo games such as Jenga, Connect Four and Cards. Overall it was a great night out. As far as the price point, multiple drinks will bring a hefty tab but that goes for most of the city.

You can also rent cabanas for larger groups and they have optional packages that can be reserved as well. They have a live DJ, music was great they played a mixture of new music along with older music for the more mature audience like my husband and myself. Everything was great for us, we truly enjoyed the change of atmosphere and crowd. If you are looking for a quiet place to have a conversation, I would not recommend this place. It's very loud, but in a fun way. Some people brought children, I personally would not recommend this unless you don't mind the drinking, yelling and smoking. Our food was good but the menu could have more dining options. I personally feel this place is catered more to people that are looking to have a light meal with plenty of drink options. It's more of a drink and socialize place. Again we LOVED it, because it was a change of scenery for us. The downside is that there is no restroom within the restaurant. You have to walk outside the restaurant to the end of the dock to use the public restrooms which normally has a very long line. This isn't ideal. Overall great experience. We checked out to the tune of a 200+ bill. The alcoholic drinks were pricey rolling in at $86 before taxes for four drinks.
