I can easily tell which attorneys have a line of 'BS" vs those who are honest, willing to help and offer solid advice. Without a doubt Ms Sara White is a true rare find. She and her office replied almost immediately to our requests. It was followed up with reminder emails. Once my wife and I met Ms White in person it was a good meeting taking care of some estate legal matters. Everything was well organized and the meet went flawlessly. She also took the time to look at a document that was deficient in a writing several years prior. Immediately we had her redo the important documents and set up an additional meeting. Without a doubt.. you do your homework , but do not be fooled by these high cost estate attorneys who want a crazy amount of money for the services and almost scare one into what they are selling. For us we did our homework. Some would not even discuss the fairly new 'Transfer of Death Deeds" and were they even knowledgeable about it, probably because it did not bring them thousands of dollars into the law firms business. We "highly" recommend Ms White for her honest services at a reasonable price! We assure you we have tried others but they dont come close to what she offers her clients. I worked with Trip Farmer on a number of projects over nearly a decade and generally found him…read morereliable in the past. Unfortunately, a recent experience has forced me to reconsider that view. In late 2024, I requested a small task -- a file extension -- which I estimated would take 30 minutes. I asked Trip for a breakdown of the time and charges after receiving an unexpected invoice for $650+. I never received a clear response, despite following up. Months later, he sent a revised invoice for $350 -- again, without my agreement -- and eventually escalated the matter to debt collection charging me $842. To be clear: I made multiple attempts to resolve the dispute directly, including offering to pay for the 30 minutes of work I requested. My messages went unanswered for long stretches, and I was given no explanation for the charges beyond vague references to time spent. Being sent to collections over a disputed charge -- without any willingness to engage -- is not something I take lightly. I've worked with many collaborators over the years and never encountered anything like this. I share this to help others make an informed decision. Work with Trip only if you're comfortable with a lack of communication and the risk of escalation over relatively minor disputes.

Oftentimes, you leave their office wondering if their isn't a better resource and why you pay them. HHM is a breathe of fresh air. Yes, you'll pay a premium rate. But good advice/service comes with a price. If you're looking to get a simple personal tax return done, you can probably pay a small fee elsewhere. But if you are a business owner, have ownership in multiple entities, etc., you really need an expert in your corner (there are too many areas that a lot of CPAs overlook or simply know nothing about). With various partners in the firm, each brings a different area of expertise. I've only dealt with Kyle Christensen to this point. He's very professional, personable (yes, a personable CPA) and will certainly point you to another partner if his expertise doesn't match your needs. I recommend Kyle (and HHM) as often as possible. (Be sure to tell him you read Byron's Yelp review, if this was a factor in calling him).
