I have to slightly disagree with Steven here, because I think Motherwell needed something like Wilkinsons to fill the hole that Woolworths left (God rest it's soul).
It is very Woolworthsy in its feel and layout, although Wilkinsons also sells toiletries and medicines. You can pretty much get anything in here, from ink to duvets, picture frames to teapots. I got loads of stuff in here for stocking fillers at Xmas. It also has a wee pet section where I buy DentaSticks for my dog, considerably cheaper than in Asda.
There are loads of staff in here, perhaps more than is necessary at the one time, and a particularly burly looking security man who always sits at the door. Wouldn't like to be caught by him with a bottle of Lynx down my jumper.
Overall, a good addition to the town centre, providing the return of the much missed Woolies Pick n Mix, and much more. read more
