It's a lovely stop along the outdoor Buchanan Street pedestrian mall. With four levels, lots of retail, a few restaurants, and one great chocolatier, Princes Square Shopping Centre is worth a few hours of shopping for the ladies on vacation in Glasgow. The facility is just steps from the St. Enoch subway station on the Inner Line if you need a reference to the metro stops.

Not being much of a shopping centre fan generally, I actually really like Princes Square. Granted,…read moreI don't actually do much shopping here but it is nice for a place to take cover on a rainy day and browse the shops. This is an upmarket shopping centre which has more expensive high street shops like Reiss, Ted Baker, Vivienne Westwood and Cos (which I'm still yet to check out!). The centre is certainly decorated to match the crowd it's looking to attract - glitzy, glam and always clean and tidy. I like the size of the centre as well - it's very dinky but still has lots of shops and is easy to navigate. There's also a host of restaurants, bars and cafés but I'll be honest - I've not visited many of them. I ate at Barca probably 4 years ago and also one of the places on the bottom floor but I think that's changed hands. One down side is that if you are dining at a restaurant on the lower level, parents will tend to let their kids run riot in the centre circle which can be a bit of a mood-killer. Princes Square doesn't have a car park due to its location but it is really close to train and subway. If you do really fancy driving, probably St Enoch or Mitchell Street are the closest car parks.

I have picked up DVDs for as little as £2 here, such as classics like Jumanji, My Girl, but for that bargain price I've also bought newer releases such as Step Up, Step Up 2, Madagascar 1 & 2 and Kite Runner. So definitely check out the DVDs here if you're looking for a little boost for you collection I also treated myself to a nice hand blender from here for only £8! Now I can make delicious smoothies for breakfast. Oh and it's also open 24 hours, hurrah!

By ordering online you know if you are going to get the correct size that might not be available instore. By regularly ordering online I get first chance to view the sale and I lkie a bargain. I am a bit of a lazy shopper but I like nice clothes at a reasonable price, good quality and good fit. I never been comfortable in Jeans after buying some cropped ones in the Summer I now have new black ones, a new dress for the weekend and a top to match my Jeans all for £33.00

Most of Govan Cross Shopping Centre had been lying empty, as this had been a Co-op previously. Now them shops have been filling up like a pirate filling his bag full of booty. It's got plenty of good affordable stock, with lots of well known brands at low prices. There's toiletries, toys, domestic stuff, stationary, art materials and food and drinks, now including the alcomaholic kind. I've picked up many items cheaply, from toothpaste, hair dye, artist's canvas' to some grub for lunch. This place is bright and the staff are friendly. It's normally quite busy but they will open up another till if getting a bit mobbed, so never a long queue to be found. If I've needed materials for work, I've always been able to pick exactly what work's needed without spending a fortune. Good deals, good goods, good stuff!

I don't know why but this shop seems to stock better, nicer & more varied items compared the Partick one. I have only been in this particular one about 3 times but every time I have always found the staff to be very nice, pleasant & helpful. The last couple of times I've been in they've had a member of staff actually helping you pack your bags at the till which is a really nice touch & doesn't feel like you're getting them to go out of their way to assist you. I am often in not long before closing time (after work) and they are always very courteous & polite regarding informing you that their store is closing soon; nae 'Oi! WE'RE SHUTTING!' or a loudspeaker to frighten you out the shop here, thankfully. HB offer a variety of goods from the edible to beauty to kids toys to gardening & household goods - I think of it as a nice (and usually cheaper) alternative to a pound shop or a B&M, although the latter I have never visited but from what I hear it is quite similar to a Home Bargains. Before Christmas I was in search of a reasonably cheap (but not illegal/dangerously cheap!) hot water bottle and couldn't find one anywhere that wasn't either a stupid expensive price or possibly banned in most countries. Step up Home Bargains! I wandered in after work not expecting to find any hot water bottles (hadn't seen any in the Partick branch) & looking for something else completely when ta-da! HB don't disappoint again ~ I found me some brilliant & cute looking (SAFE!) hot water bottles for a great price, I was so chuffed ~ people around me must've thought I don't get out much as I'm sure I did a wee yelp of delight when I seen them...! Oops. Alongside the hot water bottles I also managed to find some cracking Xmas deccos & also some lovely gifts for people too. A very successful shopping trip indeed. If you find yourself in need of household goods or cheap food/drink (they sell alcohol too - some real ales as well) then I would thoroughly recommend a visit to Home Bargains, this one in particular. It's very handy for the Govan subway & bus station too.

I received a confirmation from…read moreEvri that the package was out for delivery, but then I received an update from them one hour before the delivery time slot indicating that they could not deliver the package until the next business day. Four days on, Evri cannot locate the package. Today, I attempted to contact HoF customer service, which is an exercise in frustration. I requested a full refund but have only been refunded the delivery charges. Had I known that HoF uses Evri I would have never placed the order. I certainly would never order from HoF. I honestly can't say whose customer service is worse - HoF's or Evri's. They're both terrible. Unless you enjoy being gaslighted (by both HoF and Evri), I would highly discourage anyone from making an online purchase from HoF.

The first time I used it I had lost a lot of weight and did not know what suited my new figure. I was going to a wedding so went to get an outfit for that. I think if your going to do this you should be open-minded and try everything they bring, this is what I did and I got a beautiful dress that I would never have picked for myself. I have a wedding coming up in December so decided to do it again. They offer services for any type of outfit you need, like going on holiday, new work clothes and they also offer a wardrobe renewal if you fancy a change. I booked online which was quick and simple they ask you a few questions about what your looking for, what you like, colours and your sizes. I was given a 90 minute slot. I headed to the personal shopper area, based near the men's shoes department. I was met by my personal shopper, Jordan. He explained that the normal rooms they use were busy so I was brought to a make shift dressing room in Mr Fraser's old office, which was stunning, apparently not many people get to see in the office. It made the experience even more special. Jordan asked me a few questions and then he headed off to find me some outfits. I sat on the couch and looked at magazines and relaxed. Jordan then arrived with armfulls of dresses. I then began trying them on. There was no pressure to like them, but I tried them all on. Nothing in the first lot suited. So Jordan headed off again. The 2nd last dress I tried on was the one, loved it, and again like my first personal shopper experience it was a dress I would never have picked for myself. I would highly recommend giving this a go, I think you worry that you are going to feel pressured into buying something but it's all very chilled out and fun to get a little pampered.

The store may not be as modern as some of the newer John Lewis stores, but it makes up for it by having a nice selection of items you'd expect to find in a John Lewis from clothing to fragrances and technology. There is also an Optician and a Cafe inside. The store was still tidy and presented well. The store stretches over five floors, including a basement. There are toilets on two floors which is handy and I often find these both quieter and cleaner than the ones actually inside the shopping centre. There weren't too many staff members around the floor, although due to the size, it would be difficult to have someone everywhere. The staff seemed friendly when I did find someone. I do think it's a waste for such a big department store in a big city to be closing at 6 pm, other than on Thursdays, when they close at 7 pm. It just seems way too early, although it is in line with some smaller stores nearby, there are shops open later so I can't see why John Lewis can't either. One of my favourite stores in the city, I do prefer this to other department stores nearby. I do prefer the John Lewis in Edinburgh though, which after John Lewis in Aberdeen closed is their only other branch in Scotland. 4*
