Got to love Wilkinsons! Situated at the top of the High Street it's a large spacious premises that sells all the things you expect from a Wilco's and more.
In a way, Wilkinsons is the store that out-Woolies Woolworths (with devastatingly successful results).
The goods are definately cheap, the variety is large, and the quality is usually very good indeed.
I frequently pop into Wilkinsons when I'm in town for a browse and end up coming away with a bag ful of items that I didn't realise I needed until I went in there!!
One item that has served me well for over a year now is the Wilkinson's Eco-bag. It only cost 45p and is a large, strong black re-useable shopping bag (some sort of glazed/strengthened fabric). It folds up neatly with a popper so it doesn't sproing out all over the inside of your handbag. And y'know, I've packed tons of stuff in it and it just keeps going. Unlike the more expensive ones that cost several quid. This one is a bargain!
Great shop for stocking up with cheap & cheerful toiletries and body sprays (if you get through a ton of 'em as I do, being addicted to nice smelly stuff) - and kitched ware is a winner too. I bought a load of baking/oven trays six months ago and they still look as if I only took the wrapped off them yesterday (and they get used practically daily).
