My opinion of Beverly Hills is a little jaded. Yes, you understand it's going to be expensive. But…read moreparking is difficult, the people are sometimes snooty and their library just sucks. But this bathroom is one of the more lovely things that the city has done. Maybe they got tired of homeless people peeing in their park or maybe some well-connected dog walker got tired of holding it until he got home. However it worked, it's delightful, for somebody who does a lot of work in the field to know that there's a place open well into the night that you can pull into when you're desperately doing the pee-pee dance. It's clean and well-maintained and because it's in Beverly Hills of course it has its own address! A delightfully generous, sensible feature in a town sometimes not known for its generosity or good sense.

From time to time I have to drive from the LA Area down to San Diego, arriving at this Rest Area…read morearound 6am, and it's ALWAYS completely full, NEVER a place to park. The first time you visit you don't know it's going to be this way, so you stupidly drive in and get caught in the mass of cars stopped in the parking lot, everybody either waiting for a space to open or giving up and just parking in the roadway blocking traffic. Once cars get through that mess, seeing there's no place to park, they park all along the exit ramp all the way to the freeway. You'll see tons of 18-wheelers parked at the Vista Point nearby, there's a reason for that. Last Saturday I did that drive and knowing it was going to be like that I did what a lot of desperate cars do, park where the 18-wheelers park. I took a photo Saturday in case people don't believe me. You'll see spaces coned off (for CHP?) where people park anyway, cars parked along the right side of the roadway, and cars trying to get through stopped on the left side of the roadway (they're not going anywhere any time soon either).

Parking for cars is along the loop in the back which is a plus for the folks who aren't used to the all night idling of trucks. Very disappointing because we have been coming here for years. I didn't recognize any of the…read moreservers or anyone at the register. It was my son's birthday and we had a party of five so the bill was pretty big. The waitress that served us took my order and forgot the Avocados and she said sorry that's my bad and then on the bill they came up to $4.99. Tried to talk to the person when paying, and they said we don't do custom omelettes and I told her that I wanted certain exact things on my omelette. Every time I've come the ladies that always worked there told me I should get a certain omelette and just add this or that it always came out to the same price. The person taking the money said that's not possible. Also, I've always ordered a side of coleslaw and she checked in the back and they said that's not possible. The site of coleslaw was to eliminate my hashbrowns and bread. She said it wasn't possible when I've always done it. Another thing is that somebody came and picked up my grandfather's plate that still had food on it, and he was still eating. It wasn't a lot of food because grandma and grandpa shared food. He still had hashbrowns and fruit left, and I had them bring it back. They only left the fruit. I was being loud enough for both of them to hear it is the only reason they brought back anything. This is very odd for me because I've come here for years and years. My son is now 17 and he's been there as a baby and we even want before that. No one in sight was recognizable and the service was not per usual. I'm not sure if you've got some turnover of employees there or what's going on.? I also ask the guy at the register if he really wanted to fight over a $4.99 Avocado fee when she clearly said it was her fault. He said yes with a big smile. Very rude. I think I'd rather take everyone to Annies from here on out in Temecula. The servers are always very sweet and they stick around. Very accommodating and only a few more miles away. I have never had a problem at Annies. Who wouldn't rather substitute coleslaw and not bring out hashbrowns and bread. You would be saving money. My mother-in-law paid. I kept the receipt, but I don't know the names of anyone because nobody was wearing a name tag. I was trying to write down the names and I found that very odd that they didn't have any name tags. I would come during work for my lunch hour a lot when I was working out in the field. No longer doing that I work and live in Temecula and Rainbow was not far at all. I'd rather just go to Annies from here on out. Very disappointed
