    Shop local!

What a cute shop packed with gorgeous handcrafted items! The local talent is gushing out of the small-- jewelry, candles, bird feeders, totes, and more! I had to lap the store a few times just to make sure I didn't miss anything. Perfect place to grab a gift or treat yourself! The building has additional shops downstairs. If you're in the area, we sure to stop by!

This gift shop is so full of wonderful gifts made by artisans. Anything from glass to pottery to jewelry and so much more! Then you'll find even more shops in the basement space. This is nestled in downtown Syracuse. It was being expanded while I was there and can't wait to go back! There was one person working the shop which was perfect on a weekday.

I've known about Wildflowers for years, back when they had their umbrella display by the Most. As someone who LOVES exploring cities and small towns' shops and eateries, I am quick to recommend wildflowers for a perfect downtown day. There's always Syracuse-centered souvenirs, unique jewelry, funky crafts & vintage/thrifty stands where you must explore every shirt and item 'cause you never know what you'll find. There's something for everyone here - candles & soap, art prints, men's clothing, even stuff for the animals at home!

Old piano that worked in lower level. Lots of little booths many of which had different opening and closing hours. Bricker birack items many old clothing styles and sizes. I did buy a nice macramé belt, some recycled bicycle chain house numbers, some very stale popcorn, and a pet magnet. Other things were candelabras all in different store sections of which were open when we visited. Some were on the main floor (see Pix) many craft items of different styles. Prices varied. If you really liked it you bought it otherwise if you are crafty you can get ideas to make it yourself. They DO give coupons as you buy - toward your next purchases that we did use at the location that time for things that we bought. It was a nice place to visit on a nice day in the City and feel like roaming around to see what you can find.

I had such a great first impression at Clayscapes. I came in as a new small business owner and…read moreteacher, initially coming specifically for some tool kits and a specific clay body. The process was very seamless and fast and felt very much taken care of. Andrew, who helped me, was very knowledgeable with bodies and had I had more time I would have liked to have seen more of the site. I walked out with a sufficient amount of tools to get my program off the ground and the clay I really wanted. As Andrew assisted in loading my car, we saw a very injured bird (in this very packed parking lot). It was so disturbing how broken the wing was that I got on the phone several minutes later to find a rescue volunteer or find a way to take it home with me. I was told that there had just been a call placed in Syracuse with the same description and that it might be the same bird. On revisiting the parking lot, hoping to find the "girl from WA" who I was told caught it, we happened to see Andrew again and asked if he might know if it was scooped up. He smiled and said that they were the ones that caught it and it was off to be cared for. These are the kinds of people you want to do business with. My heart just swelled and I could drive back home feeling we did everything we could and what caring people run this place. I will be back again! I'm actually very surprised I am the first to leave a review as Clayscapes has been verbally recommended many times over since it has been about 20 years since I've bought clay in Upstate NY. I hope more follow suit!
