Fantastic experience!! Good pizza. Great service! Was pretty quick and walked it out to our car for us.

They only do pizza, and boy do they do it well. Ordered the land lovers pizza - Great crust, and quality cheese. Only a few hundred feet from Loggerhead Suites. Ready for pick up within 15mins. Loved the quality, and the price is reasonable too - won't break the bank. read more

We visited Wildfire Pizza on Jun 21, 2026 for a takeout order. Although it was a 4-minute walking distance from where we were staying, we drove there anyway. The pizzas come only in 12" sizes. We ordered a plain cheese pizza, a margherita pizza and a spinach feta bread. We were told that the pizzas would be ready in 20 minutes; it was packed to go in 15. The spinach feta bread was ordered later and took almost as long as the pizzas to be ready. I realized why after I saw it. It looked like a pizza pie: round, same 12" size but cut into many smaller pieces - the pizzas were cut into 8 slices each. The margherita pizza is plain cheese pizza with tomatoes and sprinkles of crushed vegetables. The taste left much to be desired. The important thing is that it fed us. The feta bread is plain cheese pizza with way too much cheese, and the spinach not evenly spread across the pie. Why even called it "bread" when it was made like pizza? There was plenty left for tomorrow's dinner, meaning that we liked it enough to not throw them away. The staff are college-aged young except for one guy who appeared to be in his 70s. There are a limited number of tables for dine-in, but the limited space don't make it dine-in friendly. While Wildfire Pizza is one place we will not be returning to. read more

This place is hit or miss. The kids making the food clearly haven't been trained on how the food is to be made. Sometimes it's good, other times not so much. If I'm spending my money on a $20 12" pizza, I'm spending it anywhere else. It's very clear there's not any training for the "pizza chefs". Don't plan on eating there. The two small tables they do have are not meant for dine-in, rather they're there for you to sit there and wait... read more

We didn't end up eating here and chose Max's instead. Seating is very limited here, with only two tables available. And the chairs are all tall and not suitable for small children. There was no bathroom for our family to use either. Maybe the food is fine, and perhaps the service is okay, but Wildfire was not ready to meet the needs of our family of six. We went to Max's and everybody was happy! read more

This is based off of two separate take out orders, the first was back in April when we moved to the neighborhood and we ordered delivery- they had initially forgotten one of our items and the delivery driver was extremely apologetic and brought the missing order in record time. On both the April order and our most recent order we had gotten pizzas and cheesy bread. The first time both the pizza and cheesy bread tasted amazing. On the second order one of the pizzas had a very large hair in the crust, and the order arrived extremely cold. In all fairness the coldness was in part to us using a third party delivery system as opposed to from the restaurant itself. The hair in our second order definitely was off puting and I don't know if we will risk it again. read more

We walked down and ordered at the restaurant. I didn't look beforehand and didn't realize it was a take out pizza place. After figuring that out, we ordered and went back to our Air BnB. Guess what one star reviewers... That worked great! This pizza was super tasty, lots of options and the Mediterranean salad was also good. Two thumbs up. Just plan on not eating there.. and it'll be fine. Only reason that this is four out of five stars is that their soda machine only had one working soda... but other than that two thumbs up! read more

My family just had 2 cheese pizzas and they were very good . I highly recommend this place when you want pizza.

Wildly mid pizza It was good for what it was, though it really just depends on what you get. You can't go wrong with pepperoni, but most other items will leave you with soup on top of the crust (not an understatement ); however the crust is pretty good so it does try to even itself out. Seating is limited but is for sure nice for a break from the heat, including self service for fountain drinks, water, and packaged toppings. I don't think I would be a repeat customer. read more

Needed food after a late flight. Most places closed, this was open at 930pm (though they threw in the towel right after we got our order.) Small, a few tables, mainly carryout. They were out of a lot since it was late on a nice Saturday. But we got plenty: cheesy bread for K, pepp for Sweetie, meat for me (the "landlubber" or something.) They were out of sausage so my meats were pepp and meatballs. All pizzas were good. (The cheesy bread is pretty much a cheese pizza.) Surprisingly good for "what's open late at the beach off season" pizza. Good crust, good cheese, good toppings. We had plenty left over to share the next day at a gathering, and it reheated well. Service was great. Easy to find. Small parking lot. Decent prices. I would definitely come back. read more

Ordered online, was texted back order was ready 7:03pm. I get there and my order was not ready but they're working on it. I wait for 20 minutes and check on my order and they say again they're working on it. After an hour of waiting the order is ready. Get home and the order is wrong but editable. The issue was pizzas not as ordered, White pie with garlic and basil, we received a red pie with way too much raw garlic, raw onion and no basil, pepperoni pie had very little pepperoni, cheese pie was the better of the 3. Y'all need a better system, a small tip from a pizza guy, you press your dough it works but if you know you're going to be busy par bake a dozen or so crusts it doesn't hurt the quality and it would speed up the process. If you par bake too many you can refrigerate them again it does not hurt the quality. And par bake means about 3/4 baked or they will keep rising. Par-baking addresses several common pizza-making problems. Raw dough can become gummy or soggy under heavy, moist toppings. It also ensures the crust cooks evenly with the toppings, preventing the undesirable scenario of a charred crust and undercooked filling. This pre-emptive baking step effectively creates a stable foundation, leading to a superior final product. read more

Great bar pie! Very fast service not much seating definitely a take out type of place

Looking for a quick bite to eat after landing on Topsail this evening and we ordered the North Topsail pizza from Wildfire. Wow!! What a great pizza! I've spent three times as much and not had a better taste experience! Way to go!! read more

The pizza was really good, a little small for two people, but my partner and I got meatballs and mushrooms.

Worst pizza on the island. Pizza was not cooked all the way through there were so much cheese on it. The cheese was three times as much as the dough . The only thing that was good was the sauce, and that's because we took one bite read more

As a local, we have given this place every possible chance. As I'm sitting here almost 2 hours after ordering our 2 pizzas "made in 184 seconds" (false advertising), it will without a doubt be the last time. Even on the slowest day as the only customer, your pizza won't be ready in that amount of time. The staff here are clearly directionless, and that's due to the apparent lack of leadership. These team members need proper training. You walk in and no one says a word, and the flow of ordering is unclear. On many occasions our order is lost or forgotten. They are always out of ingredients- today it was shredded cheese and last time it was whole wheat crust. The website is also not up to date. I fear they will get utterly destroyed this summer due to poor service and extreme disorganization. The only thing consistent about this place is the negative experience. Go elsewhere. read more

Honestly, we were pretty underwhelmed by Wildfire Pizza. They brag about a "184-second pizza," but it didn't live up to the hype. For the price, the pizza is small, undercooked in our opinion, and just not that impressive. Next time we want pizza in Surf City, we'll skip Wildfire entirely and go to Domino's instead--we get way more pizza for the money there. Definitely not worth the hype or the price in our experience. read more

This place is amazing the customer service is out standing probably the best pizza place I've been to since being on the east coast of North Carolina read more

This is one of the best pizzas, if not THE best, I've had in many years. The crust was perfectly crispy, the cheese melty, and the pepperoni was cupped the way it does in the really hot, wood fired ovens. They only make 12" pizzas and we each got a different one. There are only 3 SMALL tables inside but we put the boxes in our laps and each ate 1/2 of our respective pizzas right there. It was wonderful! My gluten intolerant friend got the cauliflower crust and gave me a bite; I was pleasantly surprised. I might even order that next time so I can claim I ate my veggies! It was ready really fast and the staff was friendly, helpful and efficient. read more

First time and last time. Extremely tough crust. Couldn't even cut it with a steak knife. Toppings mediocre quality. Expensive for what you get. Two pieces of sausage on each slice. Take out only so can't say much about service or ambiance. Pizza at Margherita Pizza Co. is similar but 10 times better for same price. Plenty of free parking at Margherita's. read more

Great pizza! When you walk in, you're greeted by the staff and told how the ordering works. The pizza is made right in front of you. We got the NTB pizza and a plain cheese and it was delicious! Will definitely try again when we're in town! read more

Immediately greeted and welcomed! The staff were super friendly!! My pizza (pepperoni) was so good!!! Dipped it in ranch and everything. The land lovers pizza was all gone as well at the end of the meal. There are some seats inside but you are welcomed to eat outside. There are flies outside but what can ya expect. The boss (I assume) was nice to his staff as well. I would give this new place a try! read more

Pizza is NOT ready in 184 seconds. Ours took 20 minutes . There were flies in the the store including the food. There was not much concern when we mentioned it. The crust on one pizza was burned beyond eating. The other two were fine. The meat lovers pizza had 9 very small pepperoni and 10 sausages, no other meats. The staff was not welcoming. Would not recommend. If in Surf City, drive the extra miles to Sneads Ferry to the Baked Pizza Company. Best in the area. read more

Great food created with the freshest ingredients. The folks working there are always friendly and open to answering any questions.

Since my review we've ordered several pizzas and not nearly as good as the first. The last pizza was ordered well done. It was so raw the dough wasn't cooked. Pizza was disgustingly bad due to being raw. I also agree the employees need training. Specifically on how to make a pizza. Going to give them one more try. read more

Let's start with the bad. All though there was some bad it was somewhat out weighed by the good. There main problem was organization . They were not wearing hair nets. They complained about potential customers who walked by wich makes me wonder what they said about me and my wife. Finally the food. It's looks overall we're pretty good. And tasted even better! Although it tasted good it was not cut. I had to "man Handel" my pizza to get a cubicle not even a slice it would come out as a block of cheese and dough. But overall it had a mysterious ambiance which led me to check the bathroom. It was a middle of the road experience in the bathroom it was clean with a terrible layout but otherwise fine. Overall I felt it was right to give it a 3 stars read more

Pizza was ok sauce was good but they left half the requested toppings off of the pizzas to the tune of $7. This was a $135 order too. PPaid for bacon($1.95) and green peppers ($1) not put on two of the pizzas. And pineapple ($1) on another was omitted. Won't be going back. read more

HUGE Disappointment! My family was looking forward to this pizza based on some good reviews. The pizza crust was spongey almost raw in some spots and hard and burnt in other spots. The cheese was disgusting. Had to trash it! So frustrated to have wasted money on this . Be warned, don't waste your money or tastebuds. read more

This is a joke.... Right? All the ingredients were delicious. Sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms and sauce. Mozzarella? Doubt that was mozzarella. The crust - hard as a rock. Both my wife and I agreed that we worked really hard to chew it. One and done. Next! read more

The place is an assembly line/build your own pizza joint. It smelled like a subway sandwich shop. There were no high chairs so we had to take it to go. The associate wasn't so friendly either. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and a cheese pizza with banana peppers. There is no sauce and an offensive amount of cheese. Pre-shredded mozzarella has anti caking agents. When heated high and fast the texture gets clumpy. A choking hazard for small children and unpleasant for all. read more

We have a beach house in Surf City so we have tried a few of the pizza places in the area. This place is pretty new. We have ordered from here many times and it has always been good. We order plain cheese, well-done so I can't speak about their toppings. Staff is very polite and always thankful for your business. This is our go to pizza place now- it's a bonus that we don't have to go over the bridge! read more

Great service, great crust and delicious all around good pizza. The pies were a little smaller (12") than we were used to so I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 read more

Good new spot for pizza. The service was fast and the staff were polite. Not something that I would eat every week but would go back.

Pizza was great, cooked perfectly with plenty of toppings. Service was super quick as advertised!!

Ordered a couple of pizzas tonight and they were great. Ingredients were very fresh. Could see the sausage wheel in the store they cut from and asked for Jalepenos and you could tell they were not from a jar. Had a good punch to them and still had the seeds in them. Crust is dense, but very good and held up to the several toppings I ordered. No flop. Not sure if I was talking to the owner or manager, but was very friendly, as were the other staff and took good care of me. I wish them well in business and we will repeat customers every time we are in town. Added bonus: you can order online for pickup. Not an option at most places in surf city. Note- we were visiting off season, so not sure if that is an option during peak. read more

Great concept. Poor execution. They, claim pizza will cook in 186 seconds. Maybe if yours is the only one in line. Called 20 mins before pickoup. Pies were in the oven along with others when we arrived. Took another 10 mins before they were ready to go. "Homemade" Crust was very dense to the point it was hard to cut and not crisp on the bottom. Very hard to chew. Toppings were ok albeit they were precut and sitting in individual containers. Set up like an assembly line. First person uses a press to flatten a wad of dough to the right size and thickness. Next person puts on toppings you choose from the line up of containers. Third person puts them in the gas fired oven til their done then packages them to go and collects payment. On a scale of one to ten with ten being "best I've ever had" it rates a three. On the plus side it is very clean and the checkout person was friendly and courteous. Lastly we are from the northeast and use to excellent pizza so our standards are pretty high. read more

Three young teenagers were behind the counter and apparently we're never trained in customer service. Took a while before they were ready to take my order. The cash register ran out of paper and that stumped one of them. The next one looked at the bin of pepperoni slices and after consulting another teen worker decided it was too old so they threw it out. Ok, didn't argue with that decision. The pizza was finally put on the oven after waiting for more than ten minutes and it did come out fast! The taste, though, was not particularly memorable. Thin tasteless crust, okay sauce, small spicy pepperoni. I won't go back. read more
