This will be our 3rd consecutive year at Grasshopper's Empower camp of public speaking. We love it…read more!!!!!! We have recommended to it to so many friends of ours. I love their approach, the staff, the 4-day plan to achieve the camp goals. It is fun because of the camp culture, coach and the content. The staff if very encouraging and work closely to build their confidence by rewarding them for their efforts. My girls love how they are welcomed each year with scarfs and special grasshopper bag on the 1st day. It is truly empowering as it gives an opportunity to students to speak in front of unknown audience and improve their public speaking skills. The kids are looking forward to practicing their speech in front of mirrors every day because Ms.Susan said so !!! This pretty much says it all !!!

My daughter not only gained valuable creative writing tips, but also had the opportunity to play a leadership role during the class. She was proud of her finished product: a published book! It was encouraging to see how she developed as a writer and had something to show for all her hard work. Thanks Grasshopper, for delivering an engaging class that meshed well with our online distance learning protocol!

I gave my wife a four-hour cooking lesson for the two of us using a Groupon for Christmas and we…read morejust got around to heading up. We were really excited to get up there and cook even if it did take a few back-and-forths over e-mail to work out what day we could come up and what the menu would be. We took some care in trying to pick one of the menus we liked the most, but when we showed up the menu was different. I'm not sure if it was a miscommunication or a last minute change, but it ended up being fine. The pork tenderloins that I worried about turned out to be incredibly lean and very well cooked. There were 8 people that showed up the time we did it and we were broken up into 4 teams of 2 to work on different components of the meal. One team each for the appetizer (a simple, but delicious carrot salad) and desert (pears in a sweet champagne sauce) and two teams for the main course (pork tenderloins in a dijonaise sauce with bake creamed cauliflower). The result was that you didn't learn how to make the whole meal, but each dish was simple enough that you could really learn how to make it during the session and would think about making it yourself later. The meal wound up being delicious and after preparing the food, everyone in the class sat down while the instructor/chef and the host plated the food and brought it out for a 3-course meal with a full, fancily set table. Normally, I think that they provide interesting wines to go with the dinner, but for the groupon-sessions they had each participant bring a bottle of their own. The wines people brought were varied and quite tasty by and large. The people were also somewhat varied, but mostly good company. We only had one person who was much too 'high society' for our tastes and by and large the good company and good wine made things a lot of fun. The instructor/chef was, by necessity, a bit busy running about, but was good humored and lot of fun as well as having lots of good little tips. My wife and I both had a good time and it was pretty reasonable at the groupon rate. I'm not sure that we'd go back at the full rate for normal sessions, but it's also possible that the slightly better menus and wine might persuade us differently.

Horrible business. The class quality is poor and they dodge to refund unused classes. Complaints…read moreare filed with BBB. Steer clear your kids from this scam experience and save your money. Class content: they advertised this summer class for 1-6 yr old but all they do in class is rotating sound toys (nothing close to any basic musical instruments) and have kids and families funny walking in circles for 20 dollars per class with 30 people in the room. Does not worth that price and you are better off playing with your kids at home or in daycares! The teacher started 'relaxation' 10 mins away from end time, not even an gym workout class needs such a long 'relaxation'. You know how little to no content it means and how poorly other classes can run. Cancellation and refund: The real drama starts with trying to cancel the unused classes after our first class. Allison at the class refused to help and only refer us email someone, we were fine with that but our emails went unresponsive for days until we sent more emails. The respondent Sarah Meyer refused to return our payment beyond the first class and went unresponsive again. As of now, they are still holding $60 of unused credit. A few more things: 1) There was no trial classes despite trying to request. You may see an option in their site but they wouldn't arrange. Sarah Meyer went on and accused us not requesting a trial class first. I mean who wouldn't try a free if you ACTUALLY offer one. All scams. 2) the classroom smelled very bad and parents cover their noses at the time.

A unique experience in a world of ever-growing automation, Kelly and his team provide a combination of technology and plain ole human connection to bring a person's travel desires to the forefront of their vacation or getaway. Mike and I met up twice to hash out what I wanted to get out of my Euro trip including efficiency of preparation before travel and improvisation during travel. A guide was tailored directly for my trip which provided a mnemonic walkthrough that I could call upon while I traveled. At the same time, the team was able to be respectful of free-time when traveling, i.e. letting spontaneity come and go with a firm backbone to comprise the trip. I am looking forward to seeing where this business will go in terms of accessibility to customers and further building upon unique, personal consulting.
