It can be hard work at times, but very rewarding and it really makes a difference in the community and I think it gives the kids something that they don't normally get in a regular school.

Our 2 daughters have spent 4 years there enjoying the Montessori inspired learning activities, reading program, dance sessions, field trips, and playground time. The kind and caring teachers have been so important and instrumental in the development of our children in preparing them for elementary school. It truly feels like you are part of a family, and we've formed what are sure to be lifelong friendships with many of the other families we met there. What really makes SLC special is how personal it feels. It's a close-knit group of teachers where you actually know everyone -- not a big, impersonal center. That warmth shows in everything they do. The activities are engaging and thoughtful, and even now our kids keep asking if they can go back and visit their teachers. We're very grateful for our time there and highly recommend it.

This school has broadened my child's cultural perspective who now admits that we do not speak "normal", but that our primary experience is in English just like others' primary experience is in Spanish.
