The menu was entirely in German and we had no service to translate anything so I just picked the Wienerschnitzel and my girlfriend ordered a vegetarian ravioli. Both dishes came out relatively fast and looked great. My schnitzel was very tasty and fresh while my girlfriends ravioli was extremely flavorful. We ordered the Oktoberfest beer since we couldn't really read or tell what the other beers were. The Oktoberfest beer was very light, almost like a coors light lol the weissbier is where it's at. Highly recommend getting the weissbier at any and all restaurants as it is the stronger and more flavorful selection. Later in the evening a younger girl asked us if we needed anything and spoke English, she also helped us with ordering other drinks and even called us a cab since we had no service to use Uber. I wish she was our original server and was a little annoyed he did not even ask her to help us in the first place. He also did not give me my change trying to take advantage of the fact that Americans tip, and in Germany the tip is included. I didn't want to make a big deal over 5 more euros but pretty rude. This would be the main reason for only 3 stars. Other than that it was a cool experience and beautiful beer garden for outside seating.

The beer garden is self-service, which works incredibly well given the huge crowds they serve. Even on a weeknight, it was packed, but the service moved quickly and efficiently. The atmosphere is exactly what you'd hope for from a Munich biergarten--lively, relaxed, and filled with locals. Its location away from the main tourist areas gives it a more authentic feel. A great spot for Bavarian food, beer, and a lively local beer garden experience.

The photos really speak for themselves. Service was the biggest issue. We repeatedly tried to get someone's attention to place our order, but the servers seemed to avoid eye contact and kept waiting for someone else to help us. Even getting the check was a struggle--we eventually had to get up and go to a counter ourselves. It felt like the staff had little interest in actually serving the customers. The atmosphere itself has the traditional Bavarian beer hall feel, but unfortunately, the poor food, disappointing beer pour, and especially the terrible service completely overshadowed it.
