He provided no guidance as to choices and we had to ask alot of questions. I heard alot of 'We Can't" during the whole process. He had no idea what 'parting stones' were. At the visiting hours the water in the drinking fountain was warm, and the staff gave people a hard time when they asked for bottled water. For the church, we had to ask that they arrange for the mother, father, step parents, and brothers be able to park in front of the church to be in the funeral procession first. Again, we heard, 'We Can't" and that was unacceptable to me, so after questioning why, they did. How this funeral home is still in business after the 30 years is beyond me.

How do you review a funeral home? It's the worst of circumstances for the family and friends…read more People need to grieve and they need closure, and this is a place where that can happen. Grief means a relationship matters, and that doesn't end when the funeral is over. When my ex-wife's father passed, this was where people, myself included, came. I don't know the arrangements between my ex-wife's family and the funeral home, that is not my business, but I do know people from all walks of life were welcomed here to grieve as they saw fit. Folks came as they were and people were allowed to talk and comfort the family for as long as they needed, no-one was shooed out of the establishment when the official hours were over. The business side of death cannot be easy for anyone. From what I observed, and this is only my observation, the owners and/or management were very professional, sympathetic and empathetic towards my ex's family. The circumstances are already difficult and stressful enough for it to be any other way.
