They have recently renovated this place & omg it's beautiful :)!…read more The interior decor is modern & minimalistic but what I can say is that the menu has become even better! Expect this place filled on weekends & popular donut flavors are definitely gone an hour or two before they close. Their donuts are so yum. The Korean chicken & waffle I had was so bomb & flavorful ! It satisfied every flavor and texture profile for me ! If you love trying the chicken & waffles combination & enjoy Korean flavors, I recommend this dish! There is only 1 toilet & it is unisex - there is a baby change table in there too. It is table service. It sadly is a bit tricky to get parking as there is not allocated lot. Street parking is key. Definitely not a disappointment coming here again!

I love their hanging plant wall in the back, it's stunning! Per the food, I give it a 4/5. The breakfast I had was pretty average, but maybe it was because of what I ordered (the brekkie roll). The coffee wasn't great. The food does look quite glam on Instagram- and I would give it another shot for sure! Only other downside was parking, there just isn't any. SO keep that in mind, walk or uber (or be OK with making a few laps until you find something). The rating for the donuts - 6/5! I mean come on- I drive 20 minutes AND across the story bridge just to eat this pillowy clouds of goodness. I have told some many people about them, and now they too are addicted! They make a great gift to take to school or to your colleagues at work because they are so incredibly pretty (and bloody delicious!). I recommend the chocolate beetroot, maple pumpkin, peanut butter and raspberry white choc. All to die for, and way better for you than a typical fried donut. I don't think I'll ever eat a "normal" donut again! Thanks NODO!

Suffice to say, if you've not yet ventured to this cafe on Arthur Street, I'd do so pronto. King Arthur is the new family member from the same folks that brought us Merriweather Cafe. Their ethos and value around high quality seasonal food remains and so do the friendly faces behind the counter. Similarly, just as the creation of the menu might has been considered and carefully constructed, the way in which the meals are crafted from the kitchen are given equal care and attention. I've been both for lunch and breakfast now and each time it has been a calming escape with a side of soul food. The gnocchi with lemon and tarragon in their opening days was, in true Goldilocks style, just enough. The serving size that good amount with gnocchi to savor but not be in a land of regret about the quantity you've devoured. And if you're so inclined, treat yourself to a post-lunch treat from their range of baked goods. I'd recommend the raspberry frangipane tart if it's available. Breakfast of lamb ragu on sourdough was hearty and a great winter alternative to porridge or eggs and bacon. Pro Tip: This isn't a large cafe so there may be a little wait during peak times.

I can't believe that I've only dined here twice but the food is absolutely to die for. The nibbles are delicious to kick off the meal, we had some tasty breaded olives that where perfection followed up with a Middle eastern inspired flat bread, the best I've had outside of Egypt & Jordan with a beetroot dip encrusted with pistachios and goats cheese - delish! We had the share plate special of the evening for our main shared between three & if it ever comes up again - order it! It was braised pork belly with an apple & apricot chutney, garnished with tasty BBQ King prawns - best! We also had it all topped off with the broccoli (do yourself a favour) and the spring salad all washed down with the delicious French rose by the glass. An amazing experience amplified by the fact that it was a Monday night in Brisbane (it's OPEN!) and you get to watch the light show of the gasworks ring.

From others' photos, the food looked decent, so I chose this one place. I had high hopes, after seeing their breakfast options and fairy floss dessert, but alas, I was underwhelmed. The location and place itself is decently decorated and in the middle of Spring Hill, but it wasn't particularly eye-opening. The girls there were friendly, but a bit disorganized service-wise (throughout my entire meal). I ordered a coffee to start, and as expected, was just alright. For sustenance, I had the corn fritters with smoked salmon on the side, but I almost didn't finish the corn fritters! They were lukewarm, chewy, and tiny! There were two - and smaller than the size of my palm, with a bit of smoked salmon, a poached egg, and rocket with tomato relish (that just tasted like tomato sauce). The presentation and the service were alright, and their lunch options looked good by the way other customers were chowing down... but they really need to work on their breakfast if they're going to keep serving it all day!

Their daily special burgers tend to be the best value. I ordered the haloumi burger and was not disappointed. Burger is 20$ with fries included. Also had mini Mac and cheese balls to share. Can't really go wrong with Mac and cheese balls. Also had the blackened chicken salad which was packed full of flavor. Too bad it was small and not as filling as burgers but that can't be helped it's a salad. The drinks are standouts. Usually try something new each time. Strawberry bubbles is a good choice for something sweet and fancy.
