Chips and French Onion dip, delicious!

I almost never give 5 Star reviews but Wild Cypress is the exception. My husband and I stopped here because it looked neat on the outside. We walked in and realized we couldn't read the menu .. an employee walked up to us, realized we didn't speak Spanish and got someone to help us. We ordered the club sandwich and the Reuben sandwich, chips and French onion dip and an ice cream sandwich. Wow! Everything was amazing (see pics). The chips and dip were filling and so fresh and tasty. The sandwiches were both thick and hearty. They saved the best for last, the mint chocolate ice cream sandwich was phenomenal, nothing like I ever tasted before. The food is spectacular, the ambiance is warm and well furnished but the best part was the staff! Everyone is so friendly. We are definitely stopping by again before we leave to go home.

The higher tables along the center of the room has power outlets.

Stepped in on a whim, I'm so glad that I did! I speak very little Spanish, but one of the staff members was bilingual so he took his time to recommend me something good for breakfast. He recommended De Chilaquil and it was absolutely delicious. Might very well be my favorite breakfast sandwich ever; soft cloud-like bread, delicious avocado spread, juice fried egg. Also got freshly squeezed orange juice, very good. The building is new, interior is hip, and the atmosphere was very cool. There are power plugs lining the center counters. Recommended!

Po'Boy sandwich, Cobb Salad, Chips Especias, Discreto Enacanto Blanco.

Great sandwich shop. The decor is great, they have indoor and outdoor seating, fireplace, and games. Po'boy sandwich is perfect, the shrimp is super fresh. The regular size Cobb salad is packed with chicken. Also had the especias chips (spiced chips) they were freshly made and crispy. Two glasses of a local Valle white wine, Discreto Encanto Blanco, bright floral and fruity. All for $25 US, $450 MXN, a great price for awesome food, I would expect to pay around 40 in San Diego.

Tuna sandwich and Coca Cola Light.

Had the tuna sandwich. It was excellent. Bread was toasted to perfection and the flavor of the tuna was delicious. If you want a sandwich go to WildCypress.

If you are looking for a different type of place for breakfast in Tijuana, you will discover the…read morename, Marenca. The Zona Rio location has a small dining area, that is very popular with both the locals and visitors. It is easy to see why. Their menu does not over dose on the standard morning and afternoon items that you would find anyplace. However, this is the first restaurant I've been to in Tijuana, that does not have an English menu.... so I had to labor through the Spanish menu. But, they do have unique dishes, thus making the visit adventurous, because it is difficult to choose. I went back and forth, and finally settled for their 3-egg omelet with asparagus and sheep cheese. It came with refried beans, strings of carrots and beets, small fired up tostadas and fresh tortillas (both blue and yellow corn). A small side of soggy chilaquiles was also served. A small flavorful salsa tray is also provided with 3 options, ranging from mild to hot. The asparagus spears were thin, cut up into small pieces and sautéed with mild spices. The outer egg covering soft and not overdone. If anything, there was too much sheep cheese, in certain portions of the omelet. I say this because it was an asparagus omelet, and it, instead of the cheese, should have been the star. Still, it did not take away from the other commendable aspects of the complete entree and its accompaniments. Before the meal, a small refreshing fruit plate is served. Coffee and overall service here, was mucho excellente.
