Chips and French Onion dip, delicious!
Amber M.

I almost never give 5 Star reviews but Wild Cypress is the exception. My husband and I stopped here because it looked neat on the outside. We walked in and realized we couldn't read the menu .. an employee walked up to us, realized we didn't speak Spanish and got someone to help us. We ordered the club sandwich and the Reuben sandwich, chips and French onion dip and an ice cream sandwich. Wow! Everything was amazing (see pics). The chips and dip were filling and so fresh and tasty. The sandwiches were both thick and hearty. They saved the best for last, the mint chocolate ice cream sandwich was phenomenal, nothing like I ever tasted before. The food is spectacular, the ambiance is warm and well furnished but the best part was the staff! Everyone is so friendly. We are definitely stopping by again before we leave to go home.

The higher tables along the center of the room has power outlets.

Stepped in on a whim, I'm so glad that I did! I speak very little Spanish, but one of the staff members was bilingual so he took his time to recommend me something good for breakfast. He recommended De Chilaquil and it was absolutely delicious. Might very well be my favorite breakfast sandwich ever; soft cloud-like bread, delicious avocado spread, juice fried egg. Also got freshly squeezed orange juice, very good. The building is new, interior is hip, and the atmosphere was very cool. There are power plugs lining the center counters. Recommended!

Po'Boy sandwich, Cobb Salad, Chips Especias, Discreto Enacanto Blanco.

Great sandwich shop. The decor is great, they have indoor and outdoor seating, fireplace, and games. Po'boy sandwich is perfect, the shrimp is super fresh. The regular size Cobb salad is packed with chicken. Also had the especias chips (spiced chips) they were freshly made and crispy. Two glasses of a local Valle white wine, Discreto Encanto Blanco, bright floral and fruity. All for $25 US, $450 MXN, a great price for awesome food, I would expect to pay around 40 in San Diego.

This place was soo good. If I'm ever in the area I would love to go back. It's clean and I like the decor. Order at the counter and pay. They gave me one of the handhelds to alert you when your food is ready but they actually brought it to my table. I got a Tijuana Light and one of their turkey sandwiches. Tasted amazing!

Tuna sandwich and Coca Cola Light.

I had someone call from our hotel and we got right in and there was a line outside. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is all great. Their breakfast goes from American eggs and bacon with the best potatoes to wonderful burrito type breakfast items. Their menudo is great and they have great Mexican meats as well. Lunch and dinner is about the same. They make Mexican style fish and steak that is just perfect every time. All of their Mexican dishes are just wonderful. You can't go wrong. They even have bottled water--never drink the water there, just don't. They have the best rice and beans. The service is great. They make you feel right at home and even if you don't speak Spanish, most speak English and you will figure it out because they will help you. The prices are fair for what you get. At dinner I consider it fine dining. It is all good and you will be happy. The place is also clean and super comfortable.

I conducted extensive homework to find a place to have breakfast, in Tijuana. I settled on La…read moreEspadana. It has an old spanish mission look on the outside and walking in, you can immediately recognize that it is an impressive and popular place. The decor here is something to write home about. Beautiful wall fixtures, and well crafted local pottery and other artifacts, all around, everywhere. There is ample seating, that is well spaced out. Perfectly pitched Mexican music permeates the atmosphere. There is attentive staff that is so courteous, and welcoming. I wanted to eat lite, and I wanted to eat Mexican, so I chose the Yucatán Tamales. It comes as one pork and one chicken, both slim, wide rectangles, each baked in a banana leaf. They both had their subtle and distinct flavors. Comes with refried beans. The complementary salsas, the rojo and verde, were fresh and tasty. Service was outstanding. Another memorable restaurant in Tijuana, that needs to be filed into the "excellent" and "must go" folders.
