Had a terrible experience tonight while waiting for a table. Was told it would be a 45-50 min wait, came back to check 45 mins in to be told they closed the kitchen down are overwhelmed and are not seating any more when asked to speak to a manager bc I'm not understanding why the 15 tables waiting were not told I was told that they didn't need to tell anymore or give an update. Other people had waited over an hour with no update. I was most disappointed by the manager who came out to help me as she was disrespectful and did nothing to explain apologize or fix the situation while letting 15 tables wait to not be seated. WWC is our go to wing spot in the boro. I'm a wing guy and don't venture around the menu much but the wings are always great. You can mix the flavors and bring as much heat as you want. Our service is always spot on and attentive. It has a welcoming sports bar feel and on this particular day the do must have been my spirit animal! The great 90's rock playlist was on point. We had a party of 8 (2 adults and 6 kids 16 and under). It was pretty empty, but our service was slow. Took forever for drinks, to order, and for the food to come out. Around 45 plus minutes for an appetizer that the order was mentioned 3 times to the server. It came out after the food by about 5 or 10 minutes. You can tell the food was sitting in the window waiting for it to be served while the server tried to not have to remove the appetizer. She finally told her manager who, to her credit took it off of the bill. The food was yummy when it was made. Then the server tried to still charge me for it. Good food. When the waitress brought the food about 9:50, she informed us they closing early at 10pm to clean the kitchen. When asked extra sauces we were told the kitchen was closed. That ridiculous! Our first visit was a hit! We had never been to a Wild Wings Cafe until now. We had driven by countless times, and the parking lot was always packed full of cars. We ordered the Steel House Spuds, which were pilled high with cheese and bacon. We also ordered the Mozzarella Sticks and Pretzel bites. As for the cocktail... I was in love with the Jim Beam Blackberry Lemonade! Delicious!!!! We had a hard time deciding what entrees to order. The menu is quite extensive.... with anything from wings and tenders to hamburgers and quesadillas. However, we decided to try some boneless wings with 2 different sauces... the Thai, which was absolutely PHENOMENAL... and the Chipotle Jolt, which was the perfect amount of heat and smokey goodness. My son ordered a Chicken Tender plater with the homemade spicy batter. Amazing! The tendered were ENORMOUS.. and fried to perfection! The breading..... yum!!! We have always loved this restaurant. It's our go to when we go out to eat with our big family. The past several times the wait for food has been rough. But this last time was the final visit we will make there. Sad! Because we love the sauces, the wings, and the steel town spuds! Yes we know inflation has all costs going up and we even know that many restaurants are struggling with employees. But we paid $92 (with tip) for lunch (no alcohol or soda unless it came with a kids meal.) We arrived to the restaurant at 11:15am with a large group (some in our group arrived closer to 11.) We did not leave until 1:15pm and that is not because we were just hanging out. There were some in our group that never got their food and ended up canceling their order after waiting 2 hrs with no food. Our server did a great job. The kitchen was the problem. This was on a Sunday morning. The cost is not worth the food or wait time anymore. Immediately upon arriving I went to the bar to ask if I could order some of the food for my children since we knew there would be a wait. They said no I couldn't that it all had to be on our servers ticket or something like that. I should have walked over and ordered their food at the to go entrance but I did not. So 6 children sat there without food for over an hour and a half. May as well add that their restrooms are not clean. You can tell that no one has scrubbed the toilet in days.
