Disappointing Experience - Won't Be Returning I've been a regular at this place to watch NFL games and have always enjoyed the good food and generally great service. However, after today's visit, I'm sad to say I won't be returning. The day started off well, as usual. Our server, Kaitlyn, whom we've had many times before, started things off great by taking our drink orders and bringing out our chicken sliders appetizer quickly, which were delicious. But then everything took a frustrating turn. It took a long time for Kaitlyn to come back to take our main order, and we watched her take orders from tables that arrived after us. When our food finally came out--just four minutes before halftime--it was good, but I received only half a tiny cup of ranch with my wings. Kaitlyn said she'd bring more when the kitchen made more ranch. Unfortunately, that never happened. I saw her deliver food to other tables with plenty of ranch while I was still waiting. To make matters worse, my tea ran out and I chewed through all my ice trying to get her attention, which seemed like an inconvenience for her. When I finally got her attention, she gestured for me to wait while she helped the next table. Fifteen minutes later, with my wings now cold, I ended up getting ranch from the bar myself. She came back another 15 minutes later with more ranch, but at that point, it was too late. I did leave a $6 tip because she seated us quickly, but the rest of the experience was a disaster. First time at this wing place, I tried calling several times at different hours of the day and no one would answer I couldn't place my order to go. It took a good 30 min to get someone to take my order to end up finding out I couldn't order the special 30 for 20 without dinning in. My daughter was hungry and I had people waiting for me to come back with food. I ended up sitting at the bar and ordering a drink is the chicken ale which was fantastic. Taylor was my bartender and the most kind throughout this whole experience she placed my order and we waited for our food which it took a good 30 minutes. What an experience, we waited 35 minutes after ordering rather quickly and everything was incorrect. The server was not very apologetic but the person bringing out the food was. This review is regarding my experience at the 3638 East Franklin Blvd, NC location. I arrived at 1240pm to get ready to enjoy some wings and football. We were sat about 5 minutes(1245) later. We sat there until 105pm before our server Brittany came over to take our order. We ordered wings, chicken nachos and 22oz specialty beverage. My beverage arrived, however it was a 16oz drink not a 22oz. I would've addressed it immediately, however Brittany did not come back to the table to check on us. When she finally return, I told her I ordered the 22oz and was delivered the wrong drink. She went on to say, that it's the same drink just less juice in a shorter glass. I indicated, I wanted to receive what I ordered. Almost 20 minutes passed before she came by and literally dropped the drink off. No eye contact, no I'm sorry for the mix up, no nothing. The nachos and wings arrived and were delicious. The menu indicated the price for nachos to be 13.99, however I was charged an additional $1 for chicken. When I told the server that I was overcharged and showed her the menu, she simply just walked away. Another server came by and ask if everything was ok, I told her I was waiting on a check adjustment for the overcharged for the chicken. She indicated there's nothing she can do, because that's how it's loaded into the POS system. Well, that's robbery of incident patrons who doesn't look at there check. In order not have to wait any longer for an adjustment, that probably was not going to happen, I paid the overcharge. The service was horrible, so I didn't tip either. Originally, I never have much issues with this restaurant and the food had always stayed amazing along with the best customer service of all time until last night. Last night, my dinner with my date was beyond the worst. Never met this waitress ever before, must be new... but I would not want to interact with her horrible and nasty attitude that she brought to us again. 1. When she first had us sit down. She went straight to another family like we were invisibke and didn't even ask us what we would like to drink or anything, which was a little bit of a wait. Because if you check the cameras... most likely -- thats where you would see her exactly hiding and once she walked out from her hiding spot, you could actually see her phone in her hand like every time she walks out with her turning her phone off. 3. She even had someone else bring the food out to us which were ONLY appetizers that took a hold up for more than an hour. Not to mention, our waitress did the same thing to another family, as we were waiting on another additional 30 minutes, just for our check. 4. She grabbed my food and didn't even ask if i was done with it while i was in the restroom. There wasn't a whole lot left on the plate, but still to have common courtesy is something I least expected. This was my first time dinning in this location. My husband and I got there around 7pm the restaurant was busy but not too crazy. Our waitress was the best! Very attentive and helpful she gave us some tips about the menu and we placed our order. I had the garlic garlic garlic wings and my husband the shrimp tacos. The Wild Wing Cafe in Gastonia has to be the worst restaurant on the Blvd. Bartender Carie (Carey) is the sloppiest, and most rude person I have ever encountered. I ordered the food special of buy 6 wings get 6 free. I ordered 6 Hot Wings and 6 Chicken bites. The order took over .25 minutes to arrive. I actually had to ask where my order was. This was the first time that Carie copped her first attitude. Carie's response was "Well, they cut everybody and I'm by myself". She continued to say things under her breath and treated me with total disrespect when I did absolutely nothing other than eat the food that was put in front of me. I have visited this place on several occasions with good and bad experiences when it comes to service. This was absolutely one of the worst experiences I have encountered in a restaurant EVER! Okay let me start this off with the fact that I love chicken wings and their wings were solid. But the service was absolutely HORRIBLE. We sat at the bar and there were two bartenders. Surprisingly it wasn't busy for a Friday night so i don't understand the service, except the one bartender that actually knew how to do her job was too worried about flirting with every man at the bar. I've seen the several negative reviews in this location regarding the poor and slow service time and I will say that every time I come here when I come home to visit from the coast is no different. But on a positive note the guy bartender after I finally received my dip, and we noticed it was horrible and cold in the middle, covered my meal and offered me a replacement free of charge. As I type this, on a full stomach it's now 6:08. We sat down at 5:11, waited, waited some more. The floor manager finally came up and asked if we had been helped. Apparently, we had been sat with someone on break. Our favorite is Ayrsley then uptown and definitely least favorite is Gastonia, however, it is the closest to us. If at all possible we avoid the Gastonia Wild Wings every time. We are here trying it again and once again are reminded of why we do not come here. We usually get 18 wings with 6 flats and 12 drums. They told us they do not allow this and this has always been their rule since the beginning of time. The only problem is we have never been told we could not order this way in 5 years! I usually show restaurants some grace amid the COVID pandemic, but our experience was terrible. We walked in to a virtually empty restaurant where the host greeted us with a wait list. After a 20 minute wait, we were finally seated. The server was cordial and apologized for our wait and explained they were short staffed.
