Originally, I never have much issues with this restaurant and the food had always stayed amazing along with the best customer service of all time until last night. Last night, my dinner with my date was beyond the worst. Never met this waitress ever before, must be new... but I would not want to interact with her horrible and nasty attitude that she brought to us again. 1. When she first had us sit down. She went straight to another family like we were invisibke and didn't even ask us what we would like to drink or anything, which was a little bit of a wait. I usually never have any issues with this place. If she is new... I do understand she may be training, but have respect and not a horrible attitude. 2. She didn't even check in on us but only once, which was about an hour in. At least. We actually had to walk up to the bar to ask from someone else for sauces because our waitress was hiding in the back most of the time on her phone. How do i know that? Because if you check the cameras... most likely -- thats where you would see her exactly hiding and once she walked out from her hiding spot, you could actually see her phone in her hand like every time she walks out with her turning her phone off. 3. She even had someone else bring the food out to us which were ONLY appetizers that took a hold up for more than an hour. Not to mention, our waitress did the same thing to another family, as we were waiting on another additional 30 minutes, just for our check. 4. She grabbed my food and didn't even ask if i was done with it while i was in the restroom. There wasn't a whole lot left on the plate, but still to have common courtesy is something I least expected. I was pretty upset over 3 mini corn dogs... due to the fact that I was about to hit my calorie goal for that day. But it is what is. Note/Tip: Please have commonsense and courtesy when it comes to working in a food industry. Actually, engage and don't be afraid to check on people every 10 minutes with their food. You never know what they may need in just that short of a time. read more

I was one of those people who looked at the reviews of this place and said to myself "I won't go there", but we stopped by and let me tell you the food was great! Our server Brittany was awesome. The inside is so cool, they have bands that come in at night, we will definitely go back! read more

First time at this wing place, I tried calling several times at different hours of the day and no one would answer I couldn't place my order to go. It took a good 30 min to get someone to take my order to end up finding out I couldn't order the special 30 for 20 without dinning in. My daughter was hungry and I had people waiting for me to come back with food. I ended up sitting at the bar and ordering a drink is the chicken ale which was fantastic. Taylor was my bartender and the most kind throughout this whole experience she placed my order and we waited for our food which it took a good 30 minutes. If I dine in again, I would definitely sit at the bar and find Taylor. Also the wings were flavorless I had plain, hot and Cajun seasoned none of them tasted with any flavor they may have a cook issue not sure. read more

Disappointing Experience - Won't Be Returning I've been a regular at this place to watch NFL games and have always enjoyed the good food and generally great service. However, after today's visit, I'm sad to say I won't be returning. The day started off well, as usual. Our server, Kaitlyn, whom we've had many times before, started things off great by taking our drink orders and bringing out our chicken sliders appetizer quickly, which were delicious. But then everything took a frustrating turn. It took a long time for Kaitlyn to come back to take our main order, and we watched her take orders from tables that arrived after us. When our food finally came out--just four minutes before halftime--it was good, but I received only half a tiny cup of ranch with my wings. Kaitlyn said she'd bring more when the kitchen made more ranch. Unfortunately, that never happened. I saw her deliver food to other tables with plenty of ranch while I was still waiting. To make matters worse, my tea ran out and I chewed through all my ice trying to get her attention, which seemed like an inconvenience for her. When I finally got her attention, she gestured for me to wait while she helped the next table. Fifteen minutes later, with my wings now cold, I ended up getting ranch from the bar myself. She came back another 15 minutes later with more ranch, but at that point, it was too late. I did leave a $6 tip because she seated us quickly, but the rest of the experience was a disaster. Unfortunately, after today, I won't be coming back. read more

What an experience, we waited 35 minutes after ordering rather quickly and everything was incorrect. The server was not very apologetic but the person bringing out the food was. Our appetizer came out after the food, extremely late after ...and it was cold. Very disappointed. The location was not busy at the time it was very quiet with only 3 tables filled and 2 at the bar. It was only 1pm and we'd been there since 12:30 and didn't leave until about 3/4pm waiting on checks, food, cards, while the staff stood idle. read more

This review is regarding my experience at the 3638 East Franklin Blvd, NC location. I arrived at 1240pm to get ready to enjoy some wings and football. We were sat about 5 minutes(1245) later. We sat there until 105pm before our server Brittany came over to take our order. We ordered wings, chicken nachos and 22oz specialty beverage. My beverage arrived, however it was a 16oz drink not a 22oz. I would've addressed it immediately, however Brittany did not come back to the table to check on us. When she finally return, I told her I ordered the 22oz and was delivered the wrong drink. She went on to say, that it's the same drink just less juice in a shorter glass. I indicated, I wanted to receive what I ordered. Almost 20 minutes passed before she came by and literally dropped the drink off. No eye contact, no I'm sorry for the mix up, no nothing. The nachos and wings arrived and were delicious. The menu indicated the price for nachos to be 13.99, however I was charged an additional $1 for chicken. When I told the server that I was overcharged and showed her the menu, she simply just walked away. Another server came by and ask if everything was ok, I told her I was waiting on a check adjustment for the overcharged for the chicken. She indicated there's nothing she can do, because that's how it's loaded into the POS system. Well, that's robbery of incident patrons who doesn't look at there check. In order not have to wait any longer for an adjustment, that probably was not going to happen, I paid the overcharge. The service was horrible, so I didn't tip either. I normally tip 20%-40% everytime I go out, however today I did not want to give Brittany any of my hard earned money, she didn't deserve. My bad experience was based solely on her service. Needless to say, the experience was not good. I would say on a good note, they did turn one of the tv's to the Rams game for us. Caroline read more

I came in on a Sunday. I had ordered a beer and tater tots with bacon and cheese and a "quesadilla bowl" they never brought it out and I have been waiting for 20+ minutes. In layman's terms abysmal service. bottom line. On top of that, the waitress had told me that they only play the radio on "football Sundays". While college football is playing on the television muted. Okay. Stupid af. But OK. Once I had complained about the slow service, the waitress bought out the cook to tell me to fuck off and threw the receipt at me. Completely unprofessional, and frankly a little unethical if you make a living in this food service industry.. But lo and behold, the corporate service for wild wings is a disconnected Verizon wireless number. Stay away folks this place is abysmal. Service is lacking. Food is subpar. It's not worth your time or money. read more

Okay , the table was slanted to the side so if you accidentally hit your drink then it would definitely slide to the floor. We also got the spinach dip appetizer and it was sub-par. There was a bug in the chips. They they took off the app. Then we get to entrees and I ordered the fried ribs. Chewy, and dry. My husband ordered the chargrilled chicken feathers... they were supposed to be seasoned and they were supposed to be rolled in raging Cajun seasoning( pictured below). Just disgusting and disappointed across the board. read more

When you Google this place, it says they deliver, but they don't. That's fine. So I called there to place an order for pick up, and the girl put me on hold for 6 or 7 minutes. My wife called them from a different phone, and they take her order right away. I'm still on hold, mind you. I didn't say anything about that when I got there. I told them my name and they got my order from the back. And I swear the girl at the bar didn't make eye contact with me once. Not when she took my car, gave my receipt, not at any point. And I paid 80 bucks for wings. The customer service stinks every time. And I had the wrong sauce when I got home. This is strike three. The only time the service was good was when a manager personally helped me and my wife with an order. Every other time has been a nightmare. read more

We got here on a Saturday night at 7:25 hungry after a fun day at Carowinds. 30 minutes later, still waiting on the food. Was thinking that it was odd there wasn't much business on a Saturday night but I'm seeing why. I decided to look on this app and realize Its mostly low reviews. I'll stick to the one in Wilmington NC when we visit there. Much better results. The waitress was friendly but the food took way too long to come out. Food finally came 40 minutes later I put one star but decided on two. The service was good. Just too longer than I'd like to get the food. The food wasn't the best either though. One member of our group got the chicken fingers and they were chewy. Definitely not planning on ever returning to this location but will go back to the Wilmington or Asheville location read more

This place is so bad that I would rather eat Alpo out of my dog's bowl. That's nothing against the cooks - it's against the b*tch manager, Nicole. That may seem harsh, but you will understand soon. I received an email earlier today because I am in the loyalty program. The email stated that on TUESDAY I could get a wing special OR I could opt for a buy one/get one burger special. Husband and I got there at 4:15 and had an appetizer and a few beers, patiently waiting until the strike of the 5 o'clock hour to enjoy the special. Now, mind you, it's my birthday tomorrow. Husband and I were just going to go home and relax, with plans to celebrate tomorrow. But, this email special came at me and I thought, "let's start my birthday today with beers and burgers! Heck yeah!" Alas, it was not to be. When the hour finally struck, and we began to order, the bartender realized she may actually not know what the specials really are. She asks NICOLE (picture that in a snarky voice), who says, "NO!! It's only a special for wings. They must be wrong!" "Wrong?" I say, "read my email where it clearly states come in to eat a BOGO burger on TUESDAY! AT GASTONIA!!!" Still, aforementioned a$$hole says, "No! I'm not going to honor that, even though it states the special clear as day. Even though you showed me your email directly from your phone, so there's proof. Even though to say 'No' to you right now means you'll not spend another dime in here AND you'll sh*t talk me on yelp." Now you see, fair diners of Gastonia: not only does Wild Wings NOT honor it's specials, but also the manager is a complete asshat who doesn't care about you. BTW, NO ONE was in the restaurant and she couldn't even tell this to my face - the poor bartender had to run back and forth delivering these messages. Shame on you, Wild Wings, and eat my dog's Alpo ass, Nicole. Happy Birthday to me (proof of advert below) read more

This was my first time dinning in this location. My husband and I got there around 7pm the restaurant was busy but not too crazy. Our waitress was the best! Very attentive and helpful she gave us some tips about the menu and we placed our order. I had the garlic garlic garlic wings and my husband the shrimp tacos. We also had the loaded chips that were AMAZING! The wings were great too. Wild Wing Cafe has the best wings in my opinion. The only thing that got me a little disappointed was the fact they don't have the two for Tuesdays where you get double order of wings for the price of one order. Other than that I have no complaints and definitely will b back :) read more

We paid $35 for a platter of 25 wings. When they arrived they looked like tiny little dehydrated parakeet legs. So I called the sweet little waitress over and she took some of the pieces away to show the manager. The manager then ask by way of the waitress if we wanted them to remake it, we agreed. I assumed they would remake the order again. Oh contrar... she returned with slightly larger wings in the exact number I had given her. Wow. We never saw the manger. This is customer service at its finest. We will not be returning. This was the improved wing. The big one. This is the improved wing. The big one. read more

Service was good for a weekend lunch. The server kept the drinks full and was attentive to needs. The food, however, left more to be desired. It was just average and I'd return for the soup and appetizers. The tots were cold. The chicken tenders were uff-duh! Spicy!! I mentioned that to the server and she told me to get them in the children's batter instead. I was disappointed because she didn't offer to replace them and the menu never stated the tenders are in a spicy breading. The mushrooms are being advertised as being in a spicy batter and the chicken was spicier than those. read more

The Wild Wing Cafe in Gastonia has to be the worst restaurant on the Blvd. Bartender Carie (Carey) is the sloppiest, and most rude person I have ever encountered. I ordered the food special of buy 6 wings get 6 free. I ordered 6 Hot Wings and 6 Chicken bites. The order took over .25 minutes to arrive. I actually had to ask where my order was. This was the first time that Carie copped her first attitude. Carie's response was "Well, they cut everybody and I'm by myself". Of course I noticed at least 5 other random employees hanging around the bar area and in and out of the patio. When the Manager placed the trays down I could tell they had been sitting in the window. I immediately began to eat the one nugget and was chewing when another set of plates came out for a customer 2 seats down from me. As I was chewing Carie snapped and said: "Oh, wait those are his" speaking of the food I was eating that belonged to the other customer. She proceeds to take my food and give it to him. I was like wait I am eating one of his nuggets as we speak. I said there is no way you can serve that customer food that I touched and am still eating. Carie then snapped again in front of her friends who were customers claps her hands loudly and causes a major scene and yells at me in front of at least 10 other customers that "she didn't make the food" and acted like it was my fault that the on shift manager handed me food to eat that was not mine. She continued to say things under her breath and treated me with total disrespect when I did absolutely nothing other than eat the food that was put in front of me. I have visited this place on several occasions with good and bad experiences when it comes to service. This was absolutely one of the worst experiences I have encountered in a restaurant EVER! I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS WILD WING CAFE EVER! I asked to speak to the Manager who had the slightest clue as to what was going on. She then tried to offer me more wings after the fact that Sloppy Carie threw my entire meal in the garbage. UNBELIEVABLE! Update: Just reported in Gaston Gazette Wild Wing Café, 3638 E. Okay let me start this off with the fact that I love chicken wings and their wings were solid. But the service was absolutely HORRIBLE. We sat at the bar and there were two bartenders. Surprisingly it wasn't busy for a Friday night so i don't understand the service, except the one bartender that actually knew how to do her job was too worried about flirting with every man at the bar. My boyfriend and I asked for another round of drinks (our second) and she brought me one and not him. I could never get her attention so I had to ask the other bartender, who acted like I was asking for too much. We finished those drinks and then sat there for 30 - 40 minutes waiting for someone to come over so we could order again but no one did. So I had to loudly ask for my check which was also another issue. NEGATIVE 10/10 wouldn't do it again. read more

As I type this, on a full stomach it's now 6:08. We sat down at 5:11, waited, waited some more. The floor manager finally came up and asked if we had been helped. Apparently, we had been sat with someone on break. We are assuming it was one of the waitresses who was smoking in the middle of the parking lot we had to wait for two of them to move out of the way so we could park. Anyways, the manager gets our drinks for us since we had been waiting for awhile. One of the glasses of water had lettuce in it. By this point, we are laughing, what else can you do. We get a server pulled by the manager. Our order in for the Queso, 30 wings, tots, and a kids meal. Didn't take long for the food to come out. They sent fries not tots. No biggie, but come on now. To recap the events: dumb girls in parking lot, long wait, lettuce water (which I took as dirty dishes), wrong food sent out. Queso was pretty, but kinda watery, I dont even know how but it was really thin. Corn dog kids meal was ok, my kid said they were over cooked...he is 7. Our wings were actually really good. We got jalapeno cheddar, atomic, garlic garlic garlic, hot, and loco Bueno. All good, and served hot. Fries, and tots were good. The gnats and flies were absolutely insane too. I was swatting my entire meal. Now our service started out rough... well we had none so it started out non-existent. David ended up getting ua put on him. It was my first time having him, but out friends are familiar, and actually raved about him. Now we know why, I would have given this place 1 star if he hadn't turned our experience around. He was literally the only one who looked like they were working for the longest time. Bouncing around from table to table while a bunch of girls huddles in groups talking. Except for a thin girl with bright red hair she seemed to be on it. We were there for well over an hour. I Wasn't to mad about it, but my suggestions to the owner are as follows: First: Make David your trainer & do whatever it is you can to keep him. This is my 3rd time here, & my first time actually semi-happy, or at leaat first time I've left happy. Second, pay attention to your staff. Watch them, see who isnt working, and c clean house. They aren't serving any purpose to you. Probably why you have horrible reviews. Third, a person who acts like they are in charge (manager guy)should NEVER bring a dirty cup with multiple bits of lettuce floating in it to a customer. Pay attention!! Fourth, fly traps. I get you have open doors but maybe some plants, a few sticky tapes hidden in strategic places. Fifth, your kitchen staff isn't consistent. See suggestion 2, I shouldnt get good food every third visit. Thats about 120.00 bucks I've spent, b/c you don't seem to comp shitty meals, and only 43.00 of that I was happy with. I'm just a lowly Yelp reviewer but, work this shit out. Thats all I have. read more

For a place with "wing" in the name the wings were pretty sad. Probably some of the smallest and dried out wings I have ever had. The sweet tea was extremely sweet and she asked for some unsweet tea to mix with it, they didn't have unsweet tea. I would not recommend as the photos they have posted are definitely not the reality.
